Hidden Valley Lodge är en renoverad historisk kyrka i en unik avskild bush miljö med panoramautsikt över sjön och bergen på vår bondgård kring Poerua sjön.
Gå ner till sjön, simma på stranden. Vedeldad badtunna. Rika öringfiske med andra sjöar och floder bara några minuters bilresa bort. 10 minuter till Lake Brunner för båtliv och året runt fiske. Idealisk central bas för West Coast prospektering. Mysig Woodsman loggbrännare. Fri användning av 5 kajaker. 20 minuter till Moana garage, hotell / pub, restaurang.
Fem skidfält inom 90 minuters bilresa.
Kom och se den magiska glödmaskhallen upp ett bushtrack bakom badtunnan.

Stunning

We had an amazing time; it was beautiful, incredibly well equipped, and the place was perfect for a getaway. The house did get quite hot and there are a lot of biting bugs so mozzie repellant and light clothing is a must. We loved the weka wandered through the yard and the glowworms were beautiful

Birthday Trip

Being October babies, my mother and I had a Birthday Weekend. Perfect stop for our getaway and exploring the area. A wonderful ever-changing view of the lake, so peaceful. Very accommodating with our sleeping requirements. And well equipped for the more adventurous.

Well worth the stay.

Unique accommodation in a beautiful remote location. Loved the lake where we enjoyed use of kayaks and spent time fishing. Our favourite was the glow worm cave and friendly weka greeting in the morning. Our toddler loved exploring and helping with the hot tub.

Stunning place!

We absolutely loved our time at Inchbonnie and are already talking about when we can make it back. The fire keeps the place very cosy, there are lot of great walks and getting out on the lake in kayakes was so much fun. Thank you so much for sharing your special, peaceful spot with us.

Anniversary getaway

What a beautifully charming space! Well equipped meaning you are left to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and facilities on offer. Though it rai ed heavily the entire time we were there, it left us with an excuse to return and explore.the glow worm dell and indulge in the hot tub

Heaven not far away

Absolutely stunning stay- felt like being so far away from everyone and everything but only a few hours drive from the east of the South Island. Lush greenery and the sounds of the birds - best place to stay and enjoy urself / family/friends. Hot tub was a beautiful touch! Takes 5 hours to realy heat up but worth it !!!!

This was our family’s second stay at this special place.

This was our family’s second stay at this special place. Hopefully we will be able to return again someday. It is such a unique and lovely home - and we have enjoyed kayaking on Lake Poerua, heating up the wood-burning-stove hot tub, following trails into the forest, and exploring this amazing region of New Zealand. Can’t say enough about how amazing and special this bach is.

A lovely secluded retreat

What a treat to spend a few days just soaking in the ambiance and relaxing! Making the commitment to heat up the hot tub is well worth the effort. Visiting the glow worms in the evening was also cool. The place is very comfortable. Bring a good book and be prepared to relax, because the nearest anything is a good 20 minutes away.

Our 3rd Visit….!!!!

The fact that this is our 3rd time of staying here (2014, 2022, 2024) we think says it all! Lovely, comfortable and cosy. We are getting a ‘bit long in the tooth ‘ now for the long journey from the UK, but we do hope to return. Unfortunately, we didn’t see the Kkiwis now in residence but we did have a brief glimpse of a Weka. Grant and Fran are excellent hosts.

Beautiful Setting

We loved the area, fantastic setting for a converted church. Serenity abounds, with no digital distractions. The children loved the glow worms and we gave the hot tub a go as well, unfortunately we forgot to empty when we left. Highly recommended.
