2 night stay

Stay was good very hard to find place in the dark as road sign was hidden with tree and the house no was not very visible from road unless you were right on the drive way and no security light to light the steps up room was comfortable TV would not work location was good as described

Great location

Awesome location close walk to town and right on the beach. House was clean. Kids slept on bunks in the bedroom with us (queen bed). It’s an upstairs unit with easy access to outdoor carpark. Look forward to staying again one day.

Location, location, location

Excellent location! Close to shops and right on the beach. The Bach itself is dated and the lack of a range hood meant the place smelled of food cooked by the previous occupants. After airing it out for a day the smell went away.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing weekend

Beautiful bach located on the beachfront with an uninterrupted view of the sea. Such a lovely way to wake up and head straight to the sea for a swim, even on the rainy days! Super close to town, yet it’s quiet and cosy! Had all of the amenities we needed to cook and we loved the outside shower. Thank you!

Perfect view

Great view of the beach. The queen bed had clean sheets on it but that didn't hide the smell on the mattress and pillow which smelt of sweat. The bed room is crowded with the queen bed and a bunk bed and other furniture. The bathroom could do with an updated shower head and increased water pressure.The cutlery was dirty could do with replacing and the couches cleaned.

Vicki's bach

This bach is in the perfect location, close to the beach and town. Unfortunately, the cleaner hadn't been so we had to spend time cleaning ourselves before settling in. Vicki reimbursed us for our time and has also taken on a new cleaner so hopefully that issue is sorted. The weather was awful but we enjoyed looking out at the waves and the storm from the lounge - the view is spectacular.

Whangamata Overnighter

Given two different addresses on the same street, making our arrival slightly uncertain. Accommodation has excellent locality but upon arrival previous occupants had turned off the power to the fridge/ freezer, so many products had deteriorated in the freezer. Room felt very grimey and dirty. Kitchen glassware needed to be washed before use. No plug for kitchen sink, making dishwashing quite a challenge. Pleased we only had one night here.

Beautiful location, dirty rental

This rental is located in one of the best places on Whangamatā beach. Unfortunately, it is REALLY dirty and in much need of some TLC. We had to vacuum for an hour upon entering the rental. So much dust and sand. Cockroaches and moldy cork tiles, which make the whole rental smell moldy. Also the rental is cluttered with many personal items. Including the freezer. Contacted the owner, got a canned response. First night sleeping there, woke to a spider crawling on me and multiple bites. Ended up leaving this rental to rent somewhere else in Whangamatā. Hope this owner could update this rental as it has the potential to be an amazing rental due to its location.

Great location, BUT....

Despite repeated requests no information on how to access the property. Eventually we found the key ourselves. A message from the host the next day did not apologise or explain this lack of communication. Many surfaces were not clean, the one dishcloth was dirty, windows looked they hadn't been cleaned for a long time and there were dirty marks on the glass door. Grubbiness and the weariness of the whole place is very disappointing for what we paid.

10/10 location!!

Location is just as good as it gets. Right on the beach overlooking the Whanga bar. Short stroll into town. Definitely stay there again!

Perfect location, reasonable price

Small and very "bachy" apartment but had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. Couldn't have been a better location...2 mins walk to bars/restaurants, right on the beach, easy beach walk to the wharf. Insane view! Great to have a washing machine and bed was comfy. Shower could have done with more pressure, but overall good value.

Review of stay

Beautiful place to stay in the summer for a nice getaway right on the beach. Photos don’t do this place justice 😊 the owner and the cleaner were also very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
