Ben Ohau Retreat är ett lyxigt fristående fritidshus, beläget vid stranden av Lake Ohau, nära de södra Alperna, i det krossade MacKenzie-landet.

Det ger tillgång till året runt flugfiske, trampning och mer avslappnade vandringsleder, mountainbike, skidåkning och möjlighet att observera den sällsynta svarta stilen i naturen.

Huset har 3 dubbelrum med plats för upp till 8 personer. Stora däck ger fantastisk kvällsutsikt över solnedgången på skrämmande Ben Ohau och Benmore Range. Inbäddat i lee av de övervägande nordvästliga vindarna är det inte långt att gå för att se underbar utsikt över NZ högsta topp Mt Cook och även lokalt känd som Aorangi. Trampning, mountainbike, sjö och flodfiske, skidåkning, fågelskådning, landskapsmålning och fotografering ligger precis vid din dörr.

Lovely spacious house in quiet neighborhood

Our group of 4 really enjoyed this rental. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of Lake Ohau. At night it was dark enough to see thousands of stars. This home is quite spacious. There are two main living rooms. The kitchen is large and well stocked. There are three comfortable bedrooms. We really enjoyed the large wrap around porch.

Great place in amazing location

The house was perfect for our family holiday. Very tidy and plenty of space. Communication from property manager was great, making our trip very easy. The location is awesome if you are into the outdoors, with skiing, fishing and walks in the many national parks close by.

Wonderful Ohau village stay

Great house for family stay. Very warm and clean. Beautiful views to Ben Ohau. Good, well equipped kitchen. Underfloor heating really nice in kitchen and bathroom. Nice having two living spaces. Would definitely stay again.

Ohau paradise

Great location. Great property. Great holiday. Very impressed with info supplied in case of civil defence emergency etc. Although communication about entry to premises could be better from Bookabach and informing guests that the water is not safe to drink unless boiled would be beneficial allowing guests to buy bottled water before arrival.

Perfect location for boating/fishing/water skiing. Great views of the lake and the house was well positioned to still be able to sit outside in the wind. Great communication from the owner/manager for an easy fun holiday.

Fantastic views in Ohay

Great stay, gorgeous views, easy check-in, and well stocked. Property manager made a reservation for us at the Lake Ohau Lodge with good food/wine and a wonderful view of Mt. Cook. Easy scenic drive to Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki, clay cliffs, and through Lindis Pass. Very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.

Everything you could need

Great place with all the comforts of home. Stunning location and view. The place was very clean and tidy, and had everything you could ever need whilst on holiday. The hose was very accommodating to our needs and very responsive. Excellent, and will be back to stay again. Thanks guys

This property is amazing.

This property is amazing. The fire warms the entire living area and the enormous decks are a great place to while away the hours. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathroom is clean and very spacious. Do yourself a favour and stay there

Wonderful house, wonderful location.

Wonderful house, wonderful location. Had everything we needed, including a woodburner to keep us all cosy and warm for when the weather took a turn for the worse during our stay. Highly recommend and a place we will definitely look to return to in the future. Many thanks.
