Barnstyle eco lodge - fantastisk utsikt över havet och bergen.

BLODGE = Barn / Lodge är den perfekta platsen för en grupp familj eller vänner att njuta av en avslappnad privat landsbygdsresort bort från staden men tillräckligt nära stranden och surfa på Manu Bay och poäng (10min) eller Raglans underbara butiker och caféer (5 min). Ta tillbaka vägen från The Blodge till Bridal Veil falls (10 min) eller bara 20 minuter till Ruapuke Beach när bränningen är liten eller du önskar lite ensamhet.

Fantastisk utsikt över berget Karioi och havet - surfbrickor från övervåningen ser ut. En blandning av inhemsk buske, hav och landsbygdens landskap. Detta rustika hem är en perfekt gömställe året runt. Ett stort däck, pizzaugn, vege trädgård och generösa gräsmattor ger den perfekta platsen att spela, koppla av, underhålla eller krulla upp och läsa en bok eller två från vårt privata bibliotek. Du kommer att älska rymden.

Sängar tillgängliga rymmer 14 personer - med extra madrasser för större grupper. Minsta bokning - 6 vuxna.

Simply amazing

We had such a great time staying at the Blodge! The host is very friendly, the house is massive and very well kitted out, perfect for larger groups. There is a pizza oven which was a huge plus! It gets a lovely sunset, and is such a calming place to unwind. We would love to come back here - we all had the best time!

Overall we had a good stay few things let down were more fridge space the oven door was broken the vege garden wasn’t up kept and the beds downstairs could be updated.

Nice setup for large group

Great place to spend time as a group catching up. It had very spacious communal areas and a huge kitchen with all the needed tools and serving equipment. Very happy family. We thought there was a spa pool but not, didn’t really miss it though. Many thanks!

Great New Years

Perfect house for a new year with friends. 10 min drive to town. Pack your anti histamines if you’re sensitive!! Good facilities. Cute vege garden. Only negative was someone coming in unannounced to pick vegetables when we had all been out tanning. All in all, great stay

Peaceful Getaway

The Blodge is an impressive and unique residence in a peaceful setting with rural views. We loved the main living area, it is very spacious, comfortable and can cater for a large group of people. It was well equipped with all the required cooking equipment etc. There is plenty of room for young children to play outside. There were a few minor issues which I think could have improved our stay such as a more professional, welcoming, and up to date information folder which would have been great - and the night lighting was a bit dim. Overall I think anyone looking for spacious relaxed quiet accommodation that lends itself particularly to a larger group, would be very happy staying at the Blodge

A comedy of errors

We were a large family group (15 ranging from 9 months to 87 years) for 3 nights and the place didn't live up to our needs, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless - the view, the pizza oven, and the spacious lounge were a hit, as others have said. The errors - well the dishwasher had broken down and there was no dishwashing liquid, no gas in the BBQ, no fire guard for the crawling baby, not nearly enough toilet paper and only enough room for 10 around the dining room table at a stretch, even with some perched-on stools. We had a lot of single young adults in our group and there weren't enough spare mattresses and private space on the floors (they were definitely not wanting to sleep with parents!) On the mezzanine floor we squeezed in 2 next to the leaking door through the downpour and fortunately they didn't get wet! The fridge, freezer and pantry were quite full of the owner's food so difficult to find room and remember which was ours. We were kindly allowed to bring our dog and the owner left their dog, who was not supposed to come into the house or follow us on our walks.... like I said a comedy of errors, but a comedy, not a tragedy!

Lovely and comfortable house for a big group or family

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a big group and the place was still big enough for all of us. Nice and clean. Modern and quirky. Lovely deco all around the house. Everything was great but if we had to add anything to it would be an extra fridge and probably another toilet would be great (there’s only one downstairs for 4 bedrooms) there’s enough showers but another toilet would be very useful. The outside was also lovely. Kids enjoyed running around, feeding the chickens and jumping on the trampoline. There’s lots of games and toys inside as well. Well equipped for family and/or friends. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Wonderful getaway

My friends and I were all very impressed with this place. It was well stocked with amenities and very clean. It was so much bigger than we expected which meant our large group had lots of space and everyone had a bed to sleep on. The drive to get into town and to the beach wasn't long at all. This is a great place if you're wanting a getaway in nature!

Great Place

Had a fantastic time here, the fire is brilliant for the middle of winter. Massive space that is gorgeous. We had 16 people stay here who all loved it. Was cosy, spacious and not too far from Raglan town. Lots of utensils and the pizza oven is great!

Funky pad great for large groups

House was even better than in the photos, great set up for large groups with lots of space and a range of bedding options. Most of the beds were comfy, a second fridge would of been good, some of the items in the house required repair such as the broken oven door handle, and broken bar stools, but overall would highly recommend. Perfect for kids of all ages as well as adults.

Just stunning and relaxing

We came to the blodge with 3 other family friends and everyone loved it so much. The house is unusual but so confortable and done with great taste, the kids loved it too and cherry on the cake... the view! Also just a very short drive to Raglan town which was perfect. Thx so much for letting us having your house for this great week end.

Spacious for large groups

Fabulous house with ample space for large groups. Short drive to Raglan harbour (good for bridge jumping) and close to Raglan beach and Ngarunui beach. . Kristel (the property manager) was great to deal with and very helpful.

Fantastic Property

We couldn't of booked a better back for our stay in Raglan. We had 4 mums and 9 teenage girls for a 4 day break. The property had loads of room for us all, heaps of space for everyone to relax. Close to Raglan township and great to be 5km out and have the peace and quiet of the surroundings. Fabulous views out across Raglan and out to sea. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you

Beautiful holiday home

Fabulous house. We were 15 of us. Ample space , clean linen and towels, provided. It had everything that one might need for cooking. Big enough fridge. Nice wifi. Short drive to Raglan harbour (good for fishing). Close to Raglan beach and Ngarunui beach. Fun climbing Mt. Karioi. Property manager Kristel was great.
