Double charged

I was billed twice for thousands of dollars , And have not received a response to clear up issue. Property is very poorly thrown together, there were black hair balls all throughout house when we arrived , black hair in beds , exposed electrical wiring in a cabinet , refrigerator doesnt open because the space its in is to small not allowing door to swing, Painting overspray everywhere, still had painters tape covering smoke detectors, on hinges etc . Faucets shoot water everywhere when turned on in bathrooms. The list goes on an on

Vrbo & host is not in Sync

Vrbo didn't communicate that the room is not approved by the host and our trip got jeopardy. Very upset with vrbo.

Needs Work

Showed up to property, the pull out couch in the living was sticking into the air and wouldn't go in. None of the tvs worked or even had remotes to use them. The bathroom windows were stuck open and would close. Could be a very nice property but none of it is taken care of. Very outdated. Tried to reach property management and they ignored calls and texts. Did not hear from them the entire trip.

Listing is wrong, communication was horrible.

Super disappointed. Came down for my bachelor party and only things we needed was enough beds and a grill. Host assured me the grill was on the way, but seemed to be a comment just to pacify us. Beds uncomfortable, limited blankets, super small pool, water damage in all the bathrooms, porch roof is about to cave in, and none of the tvs worked. Vrbo is working on a case for me but just save yourself some time and effort and book somewhere else.

There was a gas leak they said they notified the city about at check in it was gone when we came back it home it was terrible overnight and I had to put kids at a hotel I could get help from your company my kids were treated at wellnow when we got home and me as well for headaches dizziness and bloody noses which attributed to gas leak

It was the perfect location and set up for our large family. The house was very clean and provided all we needed for our beach vacation. It is not fancy or rich with amenities but we were not looking for that. It is a one minute walk to the beach and in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and Pier 60. We will definitely return in years to come.

Great vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our last-minute booking at Somerset turned out to be a fantastic decision. The location was amazing, right on Clearwater Beach. We did have a slight hiccup with the neighbor regarding the noise after hours but it was fixed right away. The house was clean, spacious, and felt like home, equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great setup & distance from the beach

Our overall stay was very good. Having the 2 houses with the connecting courtyard was great for our situation. We would have liked to see both houses cleaner, but overall the houses were nice. Great seating on the courtyard. A little north of the 'main action' but it was walkable and we loved it being so close to the beach.

Pool is smaller than you think, but it was nice to have a pool. The directions that we received via email didn't match what happened. The garbage was pickup on Wednesday morning instead of Thur so all our garbage didn't go out until Wednesday night like we were asked to. The pool cleaner comes on Tues amd Friday not Monday and Thur. He was very nice while he was there. None of the tvs in the bedrooms worked, the TV in the living room had Netflix but you need your own log in if you want to use it. Then you need to buy batteries because none of the remotes had batteries. We had a broken lamp in our room from the people before.

NOT Wheelchair accessible, but great value

This budget-friendly property is great for large groups to share a close space together for a nice beach vacation. but don't expect anything luxurious or rich with amenities. Host communication requires initiative and proactiveness from the guest, and may be slow. The kitchenware is plentiful but disorganized and I found a few pans that probably should have been cleaned better. The general state of the property is solid and most everything worked fine... but you'll find plenty of things that are worn, used, or should be replaced. Again, the value here is fair in my opinion since there's not a huge maintenance budget to work with. There were other similar rentals along FL Gulf Coast that are at least 1.5x the price The #1 problem for me was the fact that the VRBO listing says "Wheelchair-accessible". This was a very important factor and I would not have booked at all if the listing more accurately described the accessibility conditions. In my opinion this MUST be removed from the listing as there is simply no way someone in an actual wheelchair would have a comfortable stay here. All of the doorways are too narrow for most wheelchairs so be sure to get precise measurements if you need it. I should have pressed for more details but I was told over the phone that there were "walk-in showers" but all bathrooms have tubs or step-in showers. The host did cover extra accessibility equipment that arrived on the 2nd night of our stay so that was appreciated.

No Communication

We stayed in the home for three nights and had no communication whatsoever from the management. There were several safety concerns (broken glass, open windows that would not close, loose exterior door knobs) and issues that were not even acknowledged.

Excellent location

Home could use some updating but the location is excellent. It worked for our large group. It was nice to be able to walk across the road to the beach. Great area and looking forward to visiting Clearwater again

Frastration booking

Our booking canceled after reaching the city. It was confirmed when we booked. We totally 21 people with old people, small kids struggled lot in new place.. we have no option and no proper help.. just holding in customer care for almost 2 hour but didn’t get the place similar like what we booked. So we booked ourself and travelled to other city for vacational rentals.. lot of miscommunication and they provided fake promises. Very worst experiences.. they are not doing trustable business.

I wouldn’t recommend more than that unless you want to use pull out couches. Location awesome, prop mgt co very efficient and accommodating! The house had a few broken items (which I sent pics of to prop mgt co) and could use some fixing up. The exterior of the house could definitely use some cleaning up due to items that were broken and trash in the yard that could be tossed. Loved the double W/D, clothesline and nicely stocked kitchen cooking items. A/C, tvs, internet worked great. Thank you for the amazing family time we had at Somerset!

Dirty, Run Down

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spent 6 nights, paid over $13k, home was missing some basic amenities, many things were broken....1. Refrigerator didn’t work upon arrival, we’re told it would take a while to cool down, took advice and our food was all warm the next morning, lost $400 of groceries. New fridge came on day 3.2. No hot water in main house for the first 24 hours. 3. Window broken in the bathroom with a hole filled with toilet paper, told property management about it, nothing done. 4. Cabinet was broken over the sink, never fixed. 5. Shower curtains were moldy, never replaced. 6. Old pizza boxes left under the bed in main home when we arrived, so it left us wondering how the rest of the place was cleaned. 7. Patio tables in back were rusted/pitted. Had to keep kids away from them so we wouldn’t have to run for a nice tetanus shot on vacation. I spent a good deal of my vacation as the de facto property manager. Asked for some sort of credit back due to my experience and was ignored much the same way they ignore upkeep on this home. Great location though.

Plenty of room for a big family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was very cold in Florida upon our arrival and the heat was not working in one of the houses. We reached out regarding the issue and space heaters were provided until repair on the unit could be done. The repairman arrived very late in the evening and upon working on the unit sparks were flying from the vents and the house filled with smoke causing smoke alarms to go off for quite some time. All was well after a couple hours of airing out the unit. Heat was on and no issues after the first night. Both homes on the property could use some updating and basic repairs. Overall, the size was perfect for our big family...especially nice that the teen boys all had a separate house. The location was within walking distance of shops and restaurants and a very short walk to the beach.

Large family retreat only a block from the beach

This was an excellent location for our family gathering. The outside patio/pool area provided not only a place to hold a wedding reception, but daily gatherings for families in the area.

Property in disrepair

Filthy home, filthy yard, broken kitchen sink, inoperable tv’s, air conditioning not working in part of the home, broken closet doors, floors left our feet black, gross spots on the ceilings from leakage, dog poop on the patio in the yard, lights in bedrooms didn’t work, pool full of sand, internet connection is not good. One of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed! Way too expensive for a broken down property that is in need of some desperate repairs.

Great location, subpar house

This house needs ALOT of updating. Maybe 3 of the 10 tvs work. BIL said the handle on his toilet was broke. But house is in great location with short/easy walk to the quiet part of the beach. Lots to do in walking distance of the house. Plenty of beds for a large group. Didn’t call maintenance because we weren’t to worried about the issues but for the money we will stay somewhere nicer next time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the property because it seemed perfect for our large family of 21 people. To say the property sleeps 28 is accurate but not the whole story. These houses aren’t very big and do not have enough storage, closets, or extra bonus spaces. The rooms are so small the trundles are almost useless. In addition, the house was "cleaned" but still dirty. There is dirt/dust built up in corners, broken windows, grime on the keypads, filthy door knobs, etc. I had to go buy Clorox bleach cleaner to re-clean the common areas. I think they need to pay for a serious deep clean and invest in some property updates, including better mattresses and new windows. The patio area is very cluttered and would be nicer with a cosmetic upgrade and some umbrellas. The Pool is small but we were very close to the beach. The proximity to a nice quite spot on the beach is perfect and Pier 60 is very close if you want more action.Besides the cable not working, we didn’t have any issues until the very last day when we got locked out of the smaller house. The maintenance company was responsive and we had no issues with the customer service.I really hope that this property gets the updates it deserves and the people, like me, who’ve paid thousands of dollars for a week will be invited back and offered a discount. Renters deserve the updates without a cost increase, the house is too expensive as is for its current condition.

The condition of this property I was somewhat dissatisfied with, the air worked decently, only a few of the tvs worked luckily we didnt really watch much tv and I do not think this location can hold the amount of people it says. We had 18 and were squeezed, everyone had a bedroom but as far as living room and kitchen space there wasnt any. Also the outside space really needs to be cleaned up, we brought corn hole, hoping we would be able to play it but there were about 8-10 tables just sitting in the outside space where we could all fit and hang out. Overall if you had a smaller group this place might be great but I definitely think this place needs some TLC.

It could be a great property ...

We enjoyed our time in Clearwater very much and the house allowed us to be all together and that was the important thing. The house was mostly clean. We had some trash after pulling out a trundle bed that we cleaned up easily. There was a big pee stain on one of the mattresses. We just didn't use that bed. There were small holes in some of the windows. One of the fans didn't work well and I thought they were going to send repairman out to fix, but that didn't happen. They asked us to check everything out upon our arrival and we ended up with quite a list that was forwarded to them with pictures as well. With the amount of money, we paid for this house, it seems like these repairs should not be an issue. However, we were all together and we decided we were going to enjoy ourselves no matter what. We weren't really there for the house; we were there for each other so for us this trip was a success, and we did appreciate having a secure place to rest after a day of play.
