Beautifully Appointed, Cozy Cabin with Chef's Kitchen

**This home is professionally cleaned with products approved by the EPA for use against COVID-19, including all touch points, switches, knobs, handles, surfaces. **

Our modern three bedroom home has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, chefs kitchen, gas fireplace, two large decks and a private hot tub with a view out to nature. Kitchen is fully appointed with all appliances for a comfortable stay. Flexible bookings for a long weekend, or an extended stay if you need a longer change of scenery.

Downstairs den provides a dedicated desk space with adjustable desk. Den also has a large SMART TV, books and games to share.

The large master bedroom with king bed is on the main floor with the kitchen and great room, opens up onto a quiet back deck and peaceful open space. Laundry and powder rooms complete the main floor. Downstairs has two bedrooms, one queen and one with a bunk bed with a trundle, plus a twin bed - sleeps four. The sofa bed in the bonus room can accommodate two additional. Full bathroom with tub/shower completes the downstairs. Enjoy the hot tub as a relaxing end to any adventurous day.

The garage will fit one vehicle with plenty of parking, easily accommodating 2 additional cars on a flat driveway.

We are minutes from Donner Lake and all the Tahoe Donner amenities that include dining, tennis, golf, fitness center, swimming pools, ski area, snow play area, kayak and paddleboard rentals. Hiking and mountain bike trails galore. Rafting and tubing is minutes away on the beautiful Truckee river. Historic downtown Truckee is only 10 minutes away with quaint shops, restaurants, and bars.

Great vacation house

Came in the summer for a family vacation. Location is great on a not so busy street. The house was very clean and was consistent with what was showed on the listing. We had a few minor issues that were quickly resolved. Communication was great and quick. Overall we enjoyed our stay and are looking to book it again for next year. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Great place

We enjoyed the layout of the house, the deck, and the hot tub. Cover on the hot tub is a bit difficult to put back on (if you don't have to take the whole thing off probably better!) but overall we really enjoyed our time there. And being dog friendly was a great added bonus!

Comfortable stay

Our family of four + grandparents stayed comfortably in this house. The kitchen had everything we needed. The desk setup was super useful for remote working. Everything was clean and in great condition. Convenient Tahoe Donner location. Would definitely book again!

Lovely home!

Our family stayed at this very comfortable and clean house for an extended weekend. I was a bit concerned that we would encounter dog hair or allergies since this rental accepts pets and we don’t have pets. However, the house was very clean and we did not run into any problems. The beds were all very comfortable which is also a huge deal due to chronic back pain. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience for our family of 4 with two teenagers. I would recommend anyone considering staying at this lovely home to book it!

Lovely Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were grateful that we could bring our dog as well. Cabin is lovely, quiet and located in beautiful Tahoe Donner. We enjoyed walks, hiking and skiing. Hoping to return soon!!!

Great family house

This is the second time we stayed at this house. Great house with a open layout ideal for families. I like that the hot tub is under a covered porch and it is just a few steps outside. Communication from house manager is super responsive. The house has some flying bugs that I think that were termites. Owner offered to have someone come out but didn't want to be sprayed while we were staying there. Some other minor things that need to be fixed but overall I would recommend house.

During the midst of a pandemic, our family of four (and two dogs) decided to purchase an escape of our own, as a getaway to the spectacular Sierra mountains. We wanted to breathe fresh mountain air, explore trails, and soak in the healing properties of nature. While some of our family love to ski, others really revel in the quiet of a long walk with the dogs, hiking new trails, kayaking, biking, or simply napping in a hammock. This spot provides the perfect place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate.

This property will not require you to "rough it". All amenities you could need are provided. Comfortable beds, down pillows, high quality linens and comforters, cozy sofas, fully-appointed ample sized kitchen (with wine fridge) allows for comfortable eating in, or grilling on the deck.

Three grocery stores, including a natural foods store are within minutes. Dining or take-out from the many fine restaurants in Truckee is easy. High-speed internet is available for you to work from this vacation home, should you need to.

Given the stress of Covid, we are committed to a cleaning crew sterilizing every touch point, all light switches, lamp switches, handles, knobs, and surfaces. You can come stay in this home with the reassurance that it has been made fresh and clean for your relaxing stay.

Dogs are our best friends. Most dogs are fabulous guests, leaving only a trace of fur. If you have a well behaved, polite dog, we would love to open our home to your fur friend as well. We also ask that you never leave the dog in the home alone. They can become quite stressed out. We welcome your entire family to our home in the woods.
