The location is the highlight of this house. It sits on a quiet street directly across from the beach, and the house was clean overall when we arrived.That said, there are some things future guests should be aware of:Beach access: Most of the nearby beach entrances have stairs, so you can’t roll a beach cart down to the sand. Plan on carrying your chairs, coolers, and gear.Living room TV: The TV was finicky to operate. There’s also a lot of glare on the screen because the large door in the living room has no blinds, which makes daytime viewing difficult.Master bedroom: The bed sits up high on risers, so shorter guests will want a step stool to get in. The TV is mounted on the side wall rather than facing the bed, so you can’t watch it while lying down.Kitchen: It’s lightly stocked. You’ll find the basics, but I wouldn’t call it a fully stocked kitchen, so bring anything you rely on for cooking.Game room: The Pac-Man machine doesn’t work.Yard: The grass was overgrown, with knee-high grass and weeds. If you’re bringing a dog, be prepared to walk them elsewhere or have them wade through it.Bottom line: if location is your top priority, this house delivers. The issues are mostly fixable with some maintenance and a few updates, and I hope the owners address them, because with those improvements this could be a great rental.
