The cottage is 610 square feet of panelled coziness nestled in shady woods within walking distance of the Flat Rock Playhouse and Carl Sandburg National Historic Site and Flat Rock's "Rainbow Row" (0.4 mile). The cottage is a separate living area but connected to the owners' house by a common roof.

Extremely helpful host and very cute unit. We loved our stay and it was an excellent location! Very close to a ton of Breweries and historic sites. We highly recommend flat rock bakery right around the corner!

The Three Cubs Cottage was the cutest little place! The pictures do not do it justice. It was larger than expected and served all of our needs well. Very clean and cozy. Roz our host was great! We would highly recommend and will stay there again if we are in the area.

Amazing little cottage, very clean, quiet and relaxing. Close to downtown Hendersonville and bike trails. Check in was very easy and the host was wonderful, the snacks and drinks in the refrigerator was a nice touch. We will definitely stay there again.

Three Cub Cottage proved to be charming, well-kept, very clean, and just perfect for our week's stay. We loved having a 2nd bedroom to stash our clothes (complete w/washer & dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy living room w/ TV & DVR, a relaxing bedroom, and a sweet outdoor deck w/table & chairs. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The location - great, very quiet and easily accessible. Nearby you'd find the Flat Rock Playhouse & Carl Sandburg estate. We would love to return & stay there again one day.

Adorable cabin, conveniently located close to everything. Clean, comfy, quiet. Easy check-in. Snacks, waters, & wine provided by owner were a lovely touch. Birdsong from front sitting area was delightful! Extra bedroom (not needed this time) & washer/dryer are helpful. Truly, couldn't have been better. Thank you for providing a calm setting to unwind and relax.

3 Cubs sets the standard for excellence for accommodation and hospitality: 5 stars from beginning to end. The hosts hv thought of everything a visitor could want, and then some, with comfortable furnishings, nice quality linens, v. comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, excellent tub/shower, and a nice selection of books n games for when you just want to chill. Everything is immaculate. The cottage is well off the road so v quiet n guests hv use of two peaceful sitting out areas. The pine wood finishing inside, while rustic, indicates it was done by someone who takes pride in his work. Highly recommended.

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother born and raised in the panhandle of Florida who loves the western NC mountains.

This property was originally purchased by my husband's paternal grandmother in 1964 when it was known as the Honeymoon Cottage. My husband inherited it from his parents in 1998 and we built an addition to the cottage in 2000. We live in that addition adjacent to the cottage.

When the bears visited, we gave a new name to the cottage.

Flat Rock Park with hiking trails is less than 1 mile away. The ample trails at Carl Sandburg Historic Site are within walking distance. Flat Rock's Rainbow Row is within walking distance.
