SPACE SPACE SPACE!
Our SUPER SPACIOUS Apartment 26A is situated in the acclaimed Bay Villas Resort. APARTMENT 26A IS UNIQUE, with a proper kitchen (including an oven, 4 hotplates, dishwasher, large 2 door fridge, micowave etc), an internal laundry with washer & dryer, and a spacious lounge/dining area. IDEAL FOR LONG TERM STAYS, and just an easy 600 metre level stroll to town and to 4-Mile Beach. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, guests are immersed in the tropics upon arrival.
APARTMENT 26A IN BAY VILLAS RESORT IS IDEALLY SUITED FOR THOSE SEEKING A LONGER STAY IN PORT DOUGLAS!
THE APARTMENT AND ITS FACILITIES:
From the shared foyer with Apt 26B, you enter Apartment 26A, to be greeted by its open expanse of light and space.
THE KITCHEN:
Apartment 26A enjoys a full size (yes, a proper) kitchen, just like you may have at home! For those who like to cook (or even bake a roast), there is an oven, 4 burner hotplates, a large 2 door fridge, a dishwasher, microwave and more. A full array of kitchen utensils, pots & pans, cutlery and crockery etc is provided, as well as the usual hot water jug, toaster, tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper.
THE LOUNGE/DINING AREA:
The open plan dining/lounge room is light and airy, with comfortable seating for 4 or more, a 65 inch smart TV and a coffee table. Also in the lounge room is our special day bed, perfect for extra seating during the day, and a place for a third guest to sleep at night.
THE OUTDOOR BALCONY:
The Lounge/Dining area flows to the outdoor balcony, with its perfect outlook over the heated swimming pool, including seating for 4 (a nice place to enjoy breakfast or an evening meal for those who do not wish to dine indoors). It really is the ideal place to relax at the end of the day, and be immersed in the serenity and comfort, that only the tropics can provide.
THE BEDROOM:
Leading from the lounge room is the bedroom, with its queen size bed, together with space for hanging your clothes. The bed is made up for guests with freshly laundered sheets and pillow cases.
THE BATHROOM:
The bathroom is accessed from the bedroom, and includes a full size bath with step in shower. Bath and beach towels are provided for guests, as well as shampoo, hair conditioner, soap and more.
THE LAUNDRY:
The laundry is attached to the bathroom, and comes complete with a washing machine and clothes dryer, as well as washing detergent, an iron ironing board and an iron.
THE LOCATION:
Apartment 26A is in a 'favoured' position within the Resort, overlooking one of the 2 swimming pools (the heated one), and away from any traffic noise. And being close to the on-site manager's office, the helpful staff may help arrange your tour and other needs. 4-Mile Beach is an easy (and level) 6-7 minute walk, whilst the centre of Port Douglas, with its many shops, restaurants, cafes and other attractions is a similar easy walk. Many guests do not worry about a car, especially as the local shuttle services pass the front door of the Resort - day, multi day and weekly tickets for the shuttles can be purchased at reasonable prices.
ON SITE CAR PARKING:
Guests enjoy free on-site undercover and open air parking - spaces are not specifically allocated, so guests usually take the first space available.
ALL LINEN SUPPLIED:
Apartment 26A is fully prepared for your stay, with freshly laundered sheets and pillow cases. We also provide each guest with a bath towel, a beach towel, a face cloth and shampoo/conditioner/soap.
COMPLIMENTARY CLEANS FOR STAYS OF MORE THAN 10 NIGHTS:
Apartment 26A is not a serviced Apartment, so daily services are not provided, but if you are staying for more than 10 nights, we provide a complimentary mid stay clean and change of linen & toiletries.
WIFI:
Free Wifi is provided throughout the Resort. Guests are provided with the wifi username and password before arrival.
ACCESS:
The Apartment is on the 1st floor, up an easy flight of stairs. Access to the Apartment from the stair well is through the shared foyer with Apartment 26B.
A key safe has been installed in the foyer, allowing Guests to let themselves into Apartment 26A upon arrival. This gives Guests total flexibility as to their arrival time. And being Port Douglas locals, your hosts are only a few minutes away if assistance is needed.
FACILITIES IN THE RESORT:
The facilities of Bay Villas Resort are available for the use of guests, including the 2 swimming pools (the one nearest the apartment is heated). There are large open air seating and bbq facilities available for guests around each of the swimming pools (but guests must clean up after they have used any of the common facilities).
A PLACE FOR A THIRD GUEST:
In addition to the 3 seater sofa, we have also included a day bed in the lounge room, providing extra seating during the day, and in the evening, a comfortable place for a third guest to sleep.
