Prom Queen, Yanakie - Gateway to The Prom

- The Space

Set on a gentle slope at the top of a quiet street, this home has nice views over the fields of Yanakie and is perfectly positioned to soak in the sunlight.
Prom Queen easily sleeps 8 guests, has 3 comfortable rooms in the house and fourth bedroom in studio sanctuary across the back yard, great for those wanting some privacy or teens/children wanting their own space.

The central hub of the home is open plan, with kitchen/living + dining, bedrooms off to left and right wings. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven + 4 burner stovetop, modern appliances including espresso coffee machine and microwave, plus all cooking utensil-essentials one will need. There is a fridge and a mini freezer in the laundry. The lounge 46 inch television with AppleTV available.
The Master bedroom contains a queen bed and shares a door with the main bathroom of the house.
The second bedroom sports a queen bed.
Bedroom 3 has a set of single bunks (2 beds) with the option for a third bed as a floor mattress that sleeps two.
Bedroom 4 is located at the back of the house in the studio. It contains a small kitchenette + 1x Queen bed.
The second bathroom is located in the shed, a few paces from the back door, containing a shower, basin and toilet, great for when returning from a beach trip.

Outdoor Entertaining:
There is a table settingh on the front verandah of the property, to enjoy outdoor dining. There is no BBQ at this home, the nearest just a few hundred metres down the road at the Yanakie Community Hall.

Fishing:
We kindly ask you not to wash fish inside our property, including any of the bathrooms.

Linen Not Provided: Bedding (quilts and pillows + blankets) for all beds is provided but guests need to supply their own linen: 3x queen + 2x single sheets and quilt covers and towels.

Stictly No Smoking inside the property.


- Neighborhood

Yanakie is located 5mins from the gateway to Wilsons Prom. A further 20 mins to Tidal River and Squeaky Beach - voted Australia's Best Beach. We are located between Corner Inlet and Shallow Inlet, not far from boat launches. We are lucky to be located in very close proximity to the General Store and a small walk to Prom Coast Pizza (and Bar) which has a great Pizza menu, perfect for late evening arrival to grab a quick bite on the go. Nearby Towns include Fish creek: Galleries, BP Service station, quirky shops + the Fishy Pub, Meeniyan: Local bakery hotspots, Op-shops, locally owned retail stores and more, Foster: Foodworks + IGA, local cafe's and trinket stores + The Exhange Hotel for a pub feed. There are plenty of Wineries and Cideries like: Waratah Hills, Gurneys Cidery, for day trips and events. Wherever you may venture to in our favourite part of South Gippsland, be sure to prepare, the locals are always up for a friendly yarn.

- Getting Around

Yanakie is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car. If you require electric vehicle charging, there is a charging station located 1 min drive from the house at the Yanakie Community Hall. There are other locations in the area for electric vehicle charging, details of which can be found online.


- Other things to note

Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
This property is on tank water and septic system.


1. Checkout time is 10.00 am sharp on the day of your departure, unless you have made other arrangements with Prom Coast Holidays prior to your arrival. Failure to vacate the Property by 10.00am sharp will result in one extra night's accommodation fee being charged to the credit card tendered.

2. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Property. If you smoke outside the Property, all cigarette butts must be cleared and put in the bin. Failure to clean cigarette butts may result in an extra cleaning fee charge on the credit card tendered.

3. Linen & towels are provided at this property plus a small complimentary supply of cleaning products (soap, detergent, etc ) is supplied.

4. Unless otherwise specified in writing, firewood for wood heaters is not supplied. Wood is available for purchase at the Sandy Point General Store, BP Fish Creek or Foster. Outdoor fires are only permitted in accordance with local fire restrictions.

5. The Maximum number of persons (including children) permitted to occupy the Property is included in the Property description. Overcrowding, extra guests and parties are not allowed. If there is evidence of overcrowding, extra guests or parties at the Property at any time, the booking will be terminated immediately, all monies forfeited and any costs incurred as a result of the misuse of the Property will be payable by you or charged against the credit card tendered.

6. Tents, caravans and the like are strictly not permitted at the Property at any time.

7. If upon your arrival the Property is not clean, or it comes to your attention that the Property has been damaged, you must notify Prom Coast Holidays staff immediately so that we are able to inspect and arrange to rectify the problem promptly. Claims for compensation will not be considered should Prom Coast Holidays not be advised of any issues on checkin.

8. Prom Coast Holidays is not responsible for, and you hereby release Prom Coast Holidays from, any liability in respect to any injury, debt, damage, loss, cost, delay, expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by your occupation or use of the Property.

9. Prom Coast Holidays accepts no responsibility for guest's personal property left in, or near the Property.

10. Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10pm & 8am, during arrival or departure, and at any time throughout the occupancy. Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of your booking, all monies forfeited, and any costs incurred following misuse of, or damage to the Property will be payable by you or charged to the credit card tendered. Guests and visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour. Strictly No Schoolies or Bucks/Hens Nights.

11. You are responsible for any damage caused to the Property or the loss of, or damage to any items provided at the Property, including but not limited to the floors and floor coverings, furniture and fittings, kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware, cutlery and you must pay to Prom Coast Holidays the full cost of replacement or repair of any such items lost or damaged. All damage, breakages and losses are to be reported to Prom Coast Holidays immediately. All furniture and equipment must be left in the Property and as originally found.

12. You are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of accommodation keys. Duplicate keys are not always available. If Keys or remotes are lost, you are responsible for the cost of changing locks. Should Prom Coast Holidays be required to attend the property after hours due to fault of guest (i.e. losing keys or locking themselves out) a service charge of $200.00 will be deducted from the credit card tendered.

13. If you do not leave the Property neat and tidy, Prom Coast Holidays will charge you an additional cleaning fee. Any spillages, the fridge and benchtops must be wiped, dishes washed, dried and put away clean, BBQ cleaned (if used), and all garbage must be wrapped and placed in the garbage bin provided. Please put bins out on the nature strip Sunday night for rubbish collection.

14. Prom Coast Holidays is a property management company, managing this house on behalf of the owners. Should you need to get in touch with us regarding a matter which is not urgent, please contact our office during office hours. 15. Please note the charging of Electric Vehicles is not permitted at the property. Power usage is monitored and a surcharge of $50 per day will apply for excessive power usage. EV charging stations are located at Sandy Point Mens Shed, Foster, Fish Creek & Yanakie townships for your convenience.
