Suitable for long stays of a minimum of three weeks, this is a lovely, small, fully-equipped house in Hamilton's fantastic heritage area. Discounted pricing applies for stays one month or longer.
Ideal for a single person or couple looking for quiet, comfortable accommodation close to everything.
The beach and Newcastle CBD are less than a ten-minute drive away. In a few minutes walk are buses (for town, university and hospitals), Broadmeadow train station, cafés, pubs, beautiful Gregson Park and Broadmeadow Racecourse. Within 15 minutes you can walk to ALDI and IGA supermarkets, Newcastle Entertainment Centre and Beaumont Street with its restaurants, takeaways, shops, pubs, laundromat and more. It's a short drive to the Newcastle Showground and the Newcastle International Sports Centre.
The neighbourhood is pretty and safe and friendly.
The house is next door to a church, making it quiet and private. If it's too quiet, a bottle shop is just a few doors down. The house is calm, cosy and comfortable with a well-equipped modern kitchen and lounge area, a sitting room with a sofa and office space, and an open deck with seating and a Baby Webber BBQ.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house (except for one room kept as a locked store room). Keys are kept in a key safe and guests can check in and out on their own. Parking is on-street.
We are flexible hosts, so reach out to us if you would like to spend some time at our lovely house.

You must leave the property in the same clean and tidy condition in which we left it for you. We don't charge a cleaning fee; instead, we encourage you to treat our home as if it were your own and take responsibility for keeping the place looking good.
We do ask for guests to pay a refundable security deposit of $200 in case there is damage to the property or cleaning needs beyond what would be considered normal and fair. The full deposit is refunded within 3 business days after checkout unless there is any damage, in which case an agreed-upon amount is deducted from the deposit.
Guests must report any broken items or other damage before check-out.
Guests are encouraged to report any maintenance issues to us.
No parties or other gatherings beyond 5 people in total.
No business or other pursuits (common interest gatherings and so on).
We ask that guests put out the garbage bin each week.
While we provide all linen, guests must attend to regular washing of used linen and put it back in the cupboard.
Guests must abide by check-in and check-out times, however we are flexible about this and ask guests to request any changes they need.
Pets, children and smoking are not allowed.
The house does have a wood burner installed in the old fireplace. However, the burner is not to be used at all, for safety reasons. Other heating is provided.
The only sleeping space is the bedroom. Though it may be tempting, guests cannot turn other spaces in the house into sleeping spaces.
Guests must observe common courtesy when it comes to noise levels. Noise from the deck area can travel easily to other properties.
Finally, we recently had the floors sanded and coated with a natural finish that makes them a bit vulnerable. Please do not wear hard heels when walking on the wooden floor, and especially not high heels! Thank you.

We are a semi-retired couple. One of us is an academic, the other a book editor. We hosted our house for a few years some time back and really enjoyed the experience. We were rated as super hosts and guests really liked the house and its location and their communication with usâwe hope you will too.
Varför vÀrden valde detta boende
Hamilton/Broadmeadow is a great area. Our house is on Cameron's Hill, in Hamilton's Heritage zone. It's a treat to walk the neighbourhood. Cafes, service station, pubs, park, public transport and much more are all in close walking distance. Community feeling is strong and we have a great connection with our neighbours all round.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
The house was built in the 1920s and still has all that charm. It is simply relaxing to be in. We renovated over a decade ago, putting on a new kitchen and deck. While the house is small, it feels expansive. Sitting on the deck is very comfortable, and we love the front garden and pebbled path and the rear courtyard and the hedge of camellias that screens us from the church next door.
