This cozy cabin that I have owned for over 20 years is a wonderful example of late-20th-century modern vacation home design. Tastefully decorated and carefully updated, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at every turn.

- 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths on main level, full bath in basement. Bedrooms feature a queen bed in the master, a queen bed in the second, and twin beds in the third. A surprisingly-comfortable queen-size air mattress is available for use in the basement allowing for up to eight guests. Approximately 1,100 sq. ft. on each level
- Stainless steel appliances including French-door refrigerator with in-door water/ice (cubed and crushed)

It was great! The house was beautiful and so was the area surrounding the house. There was a lot of entertaining things to do whether you want to hang out at the lake, play pool, cards or watch a movie. It was very clean and comfortable. We definitely would like to come back again.

We had a wonderful time at the "cottage". Everything was nice, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The host was extremely nice and inviting. We were truly able to rest and relax in this home. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for pur family. We will certainly be back!

Peaceful Paradise Cottage with Boat dock

This property is an absolute gem—peacefully tucked away and surrounded by beautiful trees, it offers a truly serene escape. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful design and top-tier amenities.I was traveling with my elderly mother for a wedding memorial weekend and needed a space that prioritized both comfort and accessibility. This cottage exceeded all expectations. The single-level bedroom layout made it easy for us to stay close, while the spacious lower level—with its wet bar and second refrigerator—was perfect for entertaining. It struck the perfect balance between shared space and private retreat.The host has clearly thought of everything. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living areas are cozy and welcoming, and the entertainment space downstairs is ideal for group activities. Having access to a washer and dryer was a much-appreciated convenience.A true highlight is the large private dock, nestled in a quiet cove away from the hustle of lake traffic—a peaceful spot to unwind by the water. Daughter's 21st birthday

My daughter turned 21 March 16th and was looking for a getaway. So that's exactly what we did. We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and can't wait until next time.

Host couldn’t be nicer or more helpful

We stayed for the month of February. I am a bass fishing enthusiast. I have fished in many places and really enjoy it. The host Doug was extremely helpful with my boat and trailer and was willing to assist putting the boat in and taking it out. Pool table and fireplace were great.I would highly recommend this property and will be back myself.Phil from NY

Relaxing getaway

This is our second time staying and it was just as great as the first time. We love staying at this house. My husband enjoyed fishing all day while I stayed and read by the fire. It was so relaxing. The hosts are so nice and the best on VRBO.

Me and a buddy fished a kayak bass tourney and stayed here. Wonderful place and very good host. Highly recommend it and will return on my next trip to Lake Hartwell.

Great stay

We were very pleased with our stay. It was peaceful and quite. We enjoyed being able to sit on the dock and fish, or just to enjoy the beauty of the lake. It was a pleasure to meet Doug and to talk for a while. We hope to return some time in the future.

Great weekend on the Lake

This house was fantastic to stay at. The dock and other amenities were really fun! The owners were especially helpful with helping us park our boat. I would highly recommend this lake cabin!

Weekend Away from Atlanta

Doug, the property owner was professional, friendly and responsive. The property is located on a great section of Lake Hartwell as it's quiet and private. We loved hanging out at the boat dock and using the kayak's and floaties. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean and exactly as pictured.

Wonderful family getaway

This was the perfect property and home for what we needed. Our family of 5 stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect for fishing, floating in the lake, canoeing and just being together. The cove is peaceful and quiet. Doug, the owner, was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to be back!!

Great family time!

The house was big enough for all of us to have fun yet cozy and warm. We celebrated our grandson’s graduation and 18th birthday with fishing on the dock (caught fish too) and played pool and used the sturdy kayaks for cruising up and down the immediate waterway. We were very close to the opening to the lake so had great view of boats going by. We could have sat out on the dock every night. It was sooooo peaceful and the fish seemed to bite better in the evening. Our time here with the family was one that each of us will remember forever…each of us for our own reasons. We truly had a wonderful time!

Lovely cabin and property!

This property was perfect for our family of six with 4 teens. Downstairs den area with pool table gave them some space to hang out and watch movies. Beautiful deck and gardens outside to relax and read, very private. We saw deer everyday while out running and even from the water when kayaking and using our SUPs. Easy walk to the dock and the property was laid out so nice if you want to grill or use fire pit. Doug is so helpful and kind. We also got to visit the Hart County Botanical Garden which was amazing, what a treasure!

Spring Break Trip

We had a great week in this cabin. We all enjoyed the pool table - we are a very competitive family. We shared lots of laughs around that table every night! Cabin is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved walking through the garden area. Owners are very responsive and kind. We will definitely be staying here again.

Relaxing and Magical Place to Stay

This was a very relaxing place to stay and it was hard to leave at the end of our trip. My husband enjoyed being able to park his boat at the dock and go bass fishing. I loved staying and reading by the fire. Having a fireplace made the experience that much more enjoyable. The place is very very clean and charming. Even though this is a lake house, it reminds of being in a tree house with all the trees around. You can even see "fairies" in the trees at night! A great place to come to relax. The host is very accommodating and checked on us to see if we needed anything. It was hard to leave and I hope we can stay here again in the future. We loved it very much.

A retired Georgia Tech grad, I have the good fortune of living in the wonderful new modern-style home next door to the property where you will be staying. Together, my partner of 30+ yrs (and also a Tech grad) and I own and maintain the 10-acre tract that we call Meadmoor. Over the past 20 years we have made this our homestead, first as weekend visitors and then as permanent Hart County residents starting in 2015. We have adopted (and been adopted by) the Hart County community and intend to stay here for the remainder of our years. "The Cottage" served us well as our primary residence while we built the new house which we call the Holly Hill House.

"The Cottage" is located in a small and close-knit neighborhood of lakefront homes in the sought-after Reed Creek area, and offers more privacy than most lake homes. While it's not a large home, it is big in heart and just right for a weekend getaway. The open plan layout, with its vaulted ceiling and lots of glass, invites the outdoors in. And the large lakeside deck offers plenty of extra gathering space.
