Large 3080 sq. ft. two-story home with a wheelchair accessible first floor. Wheelchair accessibility includes a large gourmet kitchen with double ovens, an island, dining room with custom table that seats 14.

Entire home is tiled, slippers or flip-flops recommended.
A spacious living-room, bath and bedrooms are easily maneuvered. Wheelchair accessible shower on the main floor. The second floor offers the master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a large master bathroom including a 2-person soaking tub, and separate walk-in shower. Two bedrooms with a king size bed and one bedroom with a set of twins. The second bathroom on that floor has a walk-in shower as well. There is also a recreational room on the second floor and WiFi throughout the house and property.

This beautiful property (1.91 acres) backs the Olympic National Forest and offers 135' of low bank waterfront (easy access to the beach). De-stress in the 6-person jetted spa on the patio; make smores in the fire pit (which is wheelchair accessible) show off your grilling skills on the gas barbarque. Patio furniture and firewood provided.

Wade in the water, walk on the beach, gather oysters, go crabbing (seasonal), take the kayaks or boat out for a spin; all right out the front door. Crab traps, boots, life jackets, fishing poles and much more for your use.

You may just prefer to relax on one of the 2 large view decks and watch the eagles, kingfishers, cranes, seals, (too much to mention) if you're lucky you may even spot orcas.

We are dog friendly, $95 per dog per stay plus tax for approved dogs. You will need to fill out a pet addendum and agree to our rules before approval. Maximum of two dogs please.

Great place on the canal

I/we have stayed in multiple places along the hood canal over the years and this is probably one of the best. From the easy access to the water to the outstanding views and closeness to lots of activities you can’t go wrong with this place.We had a group of six friends that get together every year for New Year’s, and the place was perfect for usGreat value great location. Super nice place.The hot tub with a view of the hood Canal is an added bonus that you can’t pass up

Just what we needed

Wonderful stay- would stay again in a heart beat. Loved hearing the waves and being able to explore the Peninsula. Rented the combo SUP/kayaks nearby for 3 days and had such a pleasurable time. The house has wonderful treats for us from the garden and we enjoyed it immensely. Thanks!

Beautiful setting, and the house was really well suited to our family group (me, my husband, my brother, and both our sets of parents - our group is aged 29-75). Would highly recommend for multi-family/friends gatherings. The owners/caretakers were communicative and helpful. We enjoyed outings both to some of the most famous parts of the National Park - e.g. Crescent Lake and Marymere Falls, which was a longer drive of about 90 mins - and also to some beautiful very local hikes, e.g. Lower Big Quilcene River; Falls View Canyon. (wta.org was very useful for info about trails.) We found the house peaceful, especially because of the view (a previous reviewer mentioned noise from highway 101 - to us, cars were audible, but there weren't that many of them so this didn't bother us). We made good use of the farmstand at Midori Farm, and also Quilcene Village Store for local groceries (small, but they even had vegan cake for a birthday). We enjoyed doing a lot of cooking in the house, and this was generally easy and we had everything we needed. The only change we'd recommend is a new stovetop - the current one works fine, but requires a little getting used to, because it's an older electric stove that has lost the markings saying which knob corresponds to which burner and the light to warn you it's still hot.Thank you, we loved our stay and would come again if we get the chance!

Wonderful Crafting Getaway

We had a wonderful time on our crafting get together. The house was just as described and the views were magnificent. The house was immaculate and so comfortable. It was very accessible for a wheel chair and I was able to do everything with the group. The owner was easily reachable for questions. The setting in the woods and by the beach made this a perfect getaway for all. We would love to come back again in the fall for another relaxing trip together. Definitely a 5 star vacation home!!

Great spot!

We spent the weekend of 1/8/2016 to celebrate a 50th birthday. The property is set up well for large groups. It has a big kitchen and large eating area. We were able to hang out and play games comfortably at the table with everyone. The view and property are beautiful. Since it was winter we didn't spend much time outside but we were able to enjoy the beautiful view from inside. The owner was great and sent lots of helpful information. Highly recommend for a big group.

Easy escape from the city

Enjoyed our stay a couple weeks ago out on Hood Canal. Was there for a full week with small group of friends - as one does these days, traveling local from Seattle vs. far away. The house was clean and how it was described. There were a couple of things that came up mid-week, none were big issues (e.g., running out of dishwasher detergent, finding the broom) and the owner/management was extremely responsive and able to help us find both. The responsiveness both before arriving and once there was really nice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

A lovely, low-key long weekend

We had a great time with family at this wheelchair accessible property. The kitchen was really well-stocked and great to cook in, the house was immaculate and comfortable, and the views were great. The lighting could be a little warmer/cozier inside, and blackout blinds in the master suite might be nice, but honestly, it was a really comfortable stay. The hospitality was great (even free herb pots to harvest from), the porch was delightful, and the hosts responsive. The ADA accommodations were thoughtful and great for our party’s 88 and 98 year olds. We’ll look forward to returning. Big thanks to our hosts!

Beautiful setting

We celebrated my mother's 90th birthday here. The house was great. There is handicapped access and she was able to stay in the first floor bedroom. We cooked and baked quite a bit and the kitchen was very well stocked, complete with mixers and salad spinners and other items that are not common in rental houses. There was a view of the water and we spent the week watching seals and sea lions frolicking in front of the house. The location is great for small hikes. The hot tub was a great addition. Small complaints included one lumpy mattress and not enough reading lamps. Otherwise, we really had no other problems.

Excellent family holiday

This property was PERFECT for our family - 3 generations including city people enjoying an escape to nature, serious outdoors people wanting to hike, fit but aging grandparents, a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old, 2 active dogs, and 1 old lazy dog. The kitchen was great for cooking holiday meals and hanging out, communication with the owner was easy and simple (and she was very understanding of myriad adjustments and the accidental driving off with a house key), and the setup was perfect for allowing us togetherness and also sufficient space for time alone as desired. My 4-year-old nephew loved the hot tub and cried because we had so much fun we never had time to make s’mores by the fire. We hope to be back and the only reason I wouldn’t recommend it is because I’m afraid it will get too popular and not be available when I want it! Seriously one of the best group properties I’ve had the pleasure of staying at.

Had a great stay here. Early morning sunrise was gorgeous … great to sit with a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the water. Property was as described and in good repair. Was a great place for our family of 5 plus significant others. Would return if coming to the area.

Great for large families

We enjoyed our stay at this house, but there were some minor drawbacks. We found the inside stairs quite hazardous to anyone with mobility issues. Steps quite steep and narrow. Also wasn't aware of just how close the house is to the main highway (101) so we could hear every car screaming by throughout the day/night. Wish there were some double-paned windows to drown out the traffic noise. But the house was extremely clean, everything worked, and it's proximity to the water was incredible (just a short trek down some steps across the street and you're in the water). Loved the included crab traps (with complimentary bait) but didn't partake. House came with 2 kayaks as well but felt it might have been a little dangerous trying to get them down to the water from the house. I would highly recommend this house to anyone with large family as it had plenty of bedrooms (including one on main floor). Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Family Gathering

Wonderful layout for multiple branches of family gathered for holiday. Multiple king beds and bathrooms so each family had private comfortable space. Great kitchen for feast making.

Awesome!

Amazing place! Massive house! Beautiful view! We had a very comfortable stay. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked with all your kitchen needs. The beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. The host was gracious and easy to connect with. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great Accessible Property

We had a very nice stay with an older family member that required a wheel chair. This property provided ample room and accessibility options! It also provided a lot of space and sleeping options for those going upstairs! The local Elk Herd and a trip to Hama Hama were highlights! And the sunrise views are not to be missed!

Lovely home

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. I don’t believe I’ve ever stayed at home that is so well equipped and the nice thing was that it was properly set up for the size of group could stay there. The view was amazing and there was always some sort of wildlife activity going on nesr the water. It was a pleasant stroll down the road to the park and nice boardwalk along the water. The neighbors were all very pleasant.
