Maroon Bells är en bit av Crested Butte-historia som du inte vill missa. Denna stuga i slutet av 1800-talet ägs av samma familj i över 30 år och har sin djupa rot i historien av Crested Butte. Genom åren hittade det till och med tid att vara en cykelverkstad! Kärleksfullt restaurerade och tillbaka till sin prakt som ett fantastiskt familjhem, platsen kan inte slå! Mitt i det historiska distriktet och bara ett kvarter från Elk Avenue, är detta 4 sovrum, 4 badrum hem med privat HOT TUB säkerligen din familj bas för många minnesvärda Crested Butte semester!

Stig in i detta rymliga hem och upptäck definitionen av "komfort". Med fantastiska sängar, en enorm nedsänkt HOT TUB och en stor gård finns det gott om plats för hela familjen (10 exakt). Det öppna vardagsrummet, köket och matplatsen säkerställer att alla är en del av handlingen medan det uppvärmda spelet "go fish" spelas ut på det stora matbordet. På den första nivån hittar du också sovrummet med king size-säng och privat master-bad. Det finns ett drottning sovrum på denna nivå tillsammans med två fulla bad och en tvättstuga.

På övervåningen hittar du två separata sovrum. Den på den främre delen av hemmet har en queen size-säng och två tvillingar. Den andra befälhavaren sviten är på baksidan av huset och har en queen size-säng, privat badrum, och det är sitt eget utomhus däck. Detta rum har de mest fantastiska utsikten i huset med de omgivande bergen norr om Crested Butte. Utanför hittar du en stor gård och en privat täckt badtunna för att koppla av efter en lång skidåkning, vandring eller bara shopping! There were 3 couples, this is a compilation of observations: Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, very quiet, great walkable town access. A little shy on basic kitchen things like salt/pepper/sugar, but the specialty boxes of soaps, personal care and cleaning supplies were a nice surprise. One couple wished there was a door on the upstairs bathroom, said the ceiling fan was a bit noisy and the thermostat seemed not to work, though they were comfortable. Another said the electric outlets in the small main floor room were not all operable. Small details that might be missed if not checked regularly. We ALL appreciated the EASY CHECK-OUT! This is an annual event for us, across many states and many rentals, we have not experienced such an easy "wrap-up", no stripping beds, no sweeping, etc. We don't give a rubber stamp 5 star rating, we appreciated your property for all of its quirky charm, (which isn't really visible in your photos!).

Great location! Had a problem with the check in link sent via the app. Called the company at 4:45pm, no answer, left message, no call back. Messaged on the app, no response till 3:40am. Luckily we figured out the link problem on our own and got in. Had this been an actual problem and not something we figured out I would have been furious at the lack of response. House was clean, hot tub was clean and working. Kitchen had plenty of utensils and pans but no basics like salt/pepper or cooking oil. Only 2 dishwasher packs given in the welcome box. We had 5 adults, luckily we ate out one night but if you expect people to do the dishes you'd better give them enough supplies to clean them. Overall a good stay, but could have been a little better.

Allen I apologize for any inconvenience. The message was not returned because I show in our system that you called into our office and spoke with our maintenance team approximately 2 minutes later. Sometimes the VRBO app redacts the link to the welcome guide which is why we also text the link to the phone number on the reservation and notify guests at time of booking about that fact. In the welcome guide there is also a "know before you go" section where we detail the supplies in the starter kit for your arrival. The Maroon Bells VRBO was a fantastic stay! The location couldn’t have been better—just one block off Main Street, making it incredibly convenient to walk to all the great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We especially loved being within easy walking distance to Camp 4 Coffee, which quickly became our favorite morning stop. The home was comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly situated for exploring everything the area has to offer. Highly recommend!

Perfect location, great house

The house was as advertised, one block off the Main Street in Crested Butte, within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Very clean and well maintained house. We had a couple requests w management team and they were always fast to respond. Great stay!

Home Away from Home

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maroon Bells. The house was comfortable and close to all the wonderful restaurants and shops that Crested Butte offers. The backyard was a plus and the hot tub was wonderful !! It would have been nice to have chairs on the upstairs deck.

Great Accommodation in CB

Stayed here with family members for our son’s wedding in CB. The house was exactly as described - very roomy, well equipped, clean, and a super location right in town. The hot tub and the large back yard allowed us to also enjoy the beautiful weekend outdoors - the littles were able to run to their hearts content and swim in hot tub. Highly recommend for families looking to come together but have some privacy as well.

Great spot in the heart of Crested Butte

We couldn't have asked for a better spot. It was just the four of us so we had lots of room to spread out. I wouldn't hesitate to come back with a group twice as big. The location, the cleanliness, and the amenities were perfect for our three days. We usually like to try new places but we will strongly consider renting this same place again.

Ski Trip with Friends

This house was perfect for our ski trip! It was very close to the main street so we were able to walk to everything and it was also close to the bus stop for MT. Crested Butte. We have 9 people total and there were plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to make a big family meal! I would definitely stay here again.

Almost everything was excellent and just as described. Amazingly well stocked kitchen with more than enough glasses and dishes for a full house. Incredible location. Loads of space. The only drawback with the hot tub which appeared less than clean on arrival (slightly green). I will say that the management were immediately responsive to my questions about it and sent out the hot tub cleaners to check it out the same day. I would definitely recommend staying here and would happily come back.

Great location in the town of Crested Butte. Could walk to anything. Bedrooms and beds were very disappointing. Mattresses squeaked loudly upon any movement and two bedrooms had no doors. For the price, the house could use some updating.

Hunter I certainly wish you would have let our team know about the issues at the home and we could have addressed them. This is the first complaint we have had on the mattresses so we will have our team evaluate them and replace them if needed. As far as the 2 bedrooms without doors they are both up separate private staircases and don't need doors since they are removed from the downstairs spaces and private. The home has been a rental here in CB for many years and we do show the bedrooms along with the staircases in the photos. Perhaps one of our other properties would suit you better when you visit next. Safe travels!

This house and it's location in town was excellent. Only a block away from restaurants and shops. Very short walk to anything and everything. It was accurately described in the VRBO description and perfectly met he needs of our family. It was extremely well appointed. Complete and matching sets of ample wine glasses (approx 12), cocktail glasses, dishes, and flatware. Multiple toasters (that worked). We've stayed in many rentals before where there was a hodgepodge of kitchenware. It's very clear this owner takes pride in their rental and the experience of their guests. The house had everything we needed and it felt like a true home for the week of our vacation. And the management company - IronHorse - was very responsive when we needed assistance. And the check-in instructions and communication prior to our arrival was clear and covered everything to set us up for an easy move in. I highly recommend this house for a vacation in Crested Butte!

Our stay at Maroon Bells

We had a fantastic stay at Maroon Bells. The process of booking the stay thru VRBO was very simple. And the communication with Iron Horse via email was excellent. The house was very clean and neat. The house was bigger than expected and we had plenty of space to move about. The most awesome thing about the house is it’s location- just one block off the Main Street. So close to shopping, eating and all the other cool things that make up Crested Butte. Some of our other family stayed further away, but they ended gathering at Maroon Bells due to its proximity to the downtown area. Overall, we only had one complaint- and this isn’t really a complaint- the house on the website was beige, while in reality it had gotten a fresh coat of blue paint! The new color has just added to its charm.

Christmas trip 2024

Our family of 8 had a great stay at Maroon Bells over Christmas. The property management was great to work with prior to and during our visit. I would have given all 5 stars, but we did have problems with the hot tub, and unfortunately were not able to use it successfully for most of the stay, circuit breaker kept shutting it down. Maintenance was sent twice to restart, but unfortunately due to the holidays a repair was not able to be scheduled until after we left. I trust this will be fixed for future renters. The location, close to the free bus stop to ski slopes, and right in town was perfect for walking anywhere we needed. We did not have a car and did not miss one. The house was well stocked for cooking. Our beds were comfortable. Our group enjoyed our Christmas in Created Butte and our rental at Marion Bells.

Great location Cute Place

Great place to stay. All was really wonderful except the contact person was very unfriendly, that's a first for Crested Butte. The house was open for an early check in, but she told us we could not check in. With temperatures in sub zero (worried about wine freezing an exploding in -10 degrees), we landed with a 5 hour wait to check into the house. She never offered to place luggage in the hallway of the house and when asked very politely if it was possible, she said no! We drove by the place twice to see if the maids would care and it was completely cleaned and ready to go. We could have checked in at any time once arrived. Poor customer service and attitude for such a nice little town.

Mike We are glad you enjoyed the home and apologize that we weren’t able to accommodate an early check in. I show where we spoke with you two days prior to arrival and sent a follow up email as well letting you know we had maintenance to perform on the home and that it would not be ready before your scheduled 4 pm check in. Unfortunately there was no place on the property to place your luggage with the maintenance we had scheduled and despite appearances the home was not ready to go. With the tight holiday cleaning and maintenance schedules we do our best to make sure every home is perfect for our guests. Property was as described. Nice backyard. Overall we would rent this home again.Parking out front on Maroon Avenue was a bit bothersome. We had two restricted parking permits but vehicles without them were constantly parking in front of the home to access Elk Avenue if we left for the day to hike or bike. This forced us to park down the street or on the next block when returning, making loading and unloading of our vehicles difficult. We saw no enforcement of the restricted parking by Crested Butte. For the homeowner, you have a dead branch from an Aspen tree in the backyard that is resting on an electrical wire. Pruning that dead branch before it becomes a problem would be suggested.
