Super séjour dans le calme
The cleanliness of the house is great! It's cosy and offers the possibility to spend a lot of quality time together, as find a personal spot for some alone time. Every garden and terrasse has a bench or a lounging area. The house comes equipped with herbs and kitchen supplies such as a mixer and a scale for baking. Also other appliences come in good quality and variety. The master bedroom has a newly renovated bathroom and its own garden and terrasse. The bed was very confortable!
Philippe and his family are very accomodating and polite. They offer a bycicle renting service, but don't 'push' their services. They focus on the 'détente' of the customer and have a lot of respect for your privacy.
There is the possibility for nature hikes starting from the house. Philippe offers an overview of these hikes (might change due to rural area and local maintenance works). The house has a lot of documentation on activities in the area. I recommend going horse riding Lauzieres.
Chassiers (5km) has very little ammenities. Largentiere is the best, most close by town with shops, restaurants and bars. It's a 10 to 15 minute car drive down (and back up). The walk to Largentiere would take you longer then the google estimated 1h15 (we are not skilled hikers). Best to stop in Leclerq in Aubenas for big grocery shopping.
The swimming pool is great and has wifi. It is on the street side, but okay because dead end street with only 4 quite inactive neighbors. We enjoyed it a lot!
