Charming Property, Spectacularly Bad HostingSure, the property looks charming. Had the hosting not been a complete train wreck, I wouldnât be here writing this.We arrived late after a long day of sightseeing, kids crying, everyone exhaustedâŠonly to find the GPS useless. Construction everywhere, no signage, pitch black. We circled for an hour trying to find the place. I kept calling the host. No answer. Just unhelpful app texts basically telling me to âfigure it out.â Very hands-off way of managing a multi-property compound.We eventually found it, starving, irritated, and no longer in the mood to âsoak in the charm.â A simple warning that itâs hard to find at night wouldâve saved us the chaos. we wouldâve arrived during the day. Crisis management? Nonexistent.Inside, it was a sauna. No AC (we knew that), but windows all shut, and surprise: a fly infestation!! We had to fumigate before even unpacking. And despite what was advertised, one bedroom had no fan. It was an oven. Zero sleep for those unlucky enough to draw that straw.We made the best of it. Because we had to and because we are a positive bunch (despite this rant) But what couldâve been a lovely stay was tanked by the hostâs complete lack of support. Even with the fair price, itâs a no for me. Basic hospitality shouldnât be too much to ask.
