A spacious cabin nestled in the WV mountains, with everything you need for your getaway!

The highlights:

- Gather your group in our 4,000+ sq ft cabin with vaulted ceilings, screened porch & fireplace
- Grill on the large deck
- Enjoy the hiking & walking trails steps right out your front door
- Drive 5 min to the local brewery or 10 mins into town for dining & shops

The Space:
Our family-friendly cabin is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or large groups of friends.

The cabin includes:
- 5 bedrooms with 6 beds + 4 sets of bunk beds
- A huge deck surrounded by trees, with a propane grill
- Central AC and heat
- Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing
- Fully-stocked kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and island
- Wood fireplace to keep you cozy at night

The download speeds on are WiFi are about 2.5-3 Mbps. That's just enough to stream movies, but it may be a little laggy. But definitely fast enough for regular web browsing and remote work.

Note: Bear's Den has 5 bedrooms (with 10 beds) and will easily sleep 16 people. If you have a larger group including young children, please message us and we can likely accommodate you at this property, or another one nearby.

We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

While the neighborhood community does have a pool, unfortunately, it is not available for use by Blue Maple guests. While the pool is off-limits, we’re happy to recommend nearby swimming spots, parks, or other fun local attractions if you’re looking to cool off or relax!

Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!

We love how close to everything we are - particularly all the restaurants and shops in Berkeley Springs. You’re less than a 10 minute drive from downtown - with Berkeley Springs Brewing Company less than 5 minutes away!

Great stay. The host was great. All that was needed was left for kitchen and bathroom. Lots of towels luckily because we needed them for the hot tub too. The only issue we had was the TV did not work and we did miss a great game but we had card and board games and made do. The town was cute and had a lot of good dining options. Overall very positive experience.

2025 annual April Retreat

This was a perfect house for 10 friends to enjoy each others company. The bedrooms were good size and the living room was perfect for us to enjoy our textile art projects all together. Plan to return next year.

Great Cousins Reunion

We had a 3 night reunion, 10 senior cousins that had not been all together for 8 years. We could not have had a better time. The house was perfect and we are hoping to do it again next year.

Fun mountain retreat!

We had a lovely family reunion in this large moutain home. There was plenty of space and areas for sleeping. The home is not rustic and yet has a comfortable cabin feel. The location is central to downtown, parks, shopping and restaurants and offered a lot to do! We enjoyed our stay and extend our thanks to Tony who was a great host!

A Perfect Christmas Getaway

This cabin was perfect for our Christmas family reunion. Plenty of room and comfortable beds for everybody, the stove is very warm, the kitchen is well equipped. Tony was very helpful every step of the way and always very quick to respond. The whole experience was a pleasure.

Wonderful house for multple families

Great house in a beautiful area. We had 3 families staying with plenty of room to play, cook, and hang out when it was raining outside. Cacapon state park is not too far away and has great mountain biking and hiking. Easy communication with owner too. Definitely coming back!

Nice cabin

Nice cabin, spacious. Check-in was good. Friendly neighborhood, forest and nearby state parks. Except the annoying texts (when we were watching TV at 10pm) mentioning noise from the host, everything else went well. Also No proper TV arrangement for kids, so had to take the TV upstairs for watching.

Cousin Camp with our grandchildren

We spent several days here with our grandchildren and we had a grand time! The house was in a beautiful area and having the indoor pool close by saved us twice when it was raining and we couldn’t be outdoors as planned. The kids loved exploring and hiking the trails close by. The house was not exactly as described or pictured. - It looks like it has not been updated in years and the bathroom linoleum is cut up and gouged in places. Our granddaughters thought the marks were spiders! :) - The kitchen has the necessary small appliances but there were only 6 spoons and those were soup spoons. There were only 3 table knives. There weren’t many cups or glasses. - The dishwasher was not fastened into the cabinet and would fall out when the racks were pulled out. By the last day, we couldn’t get it to start. - The A/C didn’t work on the main floor. We didn’t realize it until our last day when it was hotter outside. We found a fan for our bedroom and slept fine. - We could not find the gas fire pit that was pictured in the description so we made s’mores in the microwave. The property manager was easy to get ahold of and was responsive to our questions and requests. The grill had 2 gas tanks but they were both empty. We called the manager and a full one was brought within the hour.

Plenty of space, lots of beds which are pretty comfortable. A few broken items in the cabin that needed to be fixed. We were disappointed access to the community pools were not included in the stay, but we did use the hot tub which was nice.

Nice with some challenges.

We had a wonderful time with family. Lots of room and very close to Downtown Berkley Springs. Owner was responsive and helpful. However there are some things that need to be addressed. Upstairs bedroom was not vacuumed Leaves had not been swept from deck or covered area Bugs in windows - need cleaning Ceiling tiles missing, pushed up in the ceiling and or dirty. Downstairs bedroom strange smell / and musty. Tv in basement with little seating so we brought it upstairs in the main living area - much better. Dining room not useable in cooler temps as it’s not heated. No broom avail to use. One of the pantry’s couldn’t be opened - missing door knob) Thank You

wonderful family weekend

We recently celebrated my parent's 50th Anniversary with a family weekend and this was the perfect spot! The cabin has great common areas for hanging out (the great room, the deck, and a pretty dining area), as well as plenty space for folks to spread out and get a little alone time too. With 3 teens this was essential:). The location is great, just 10-15 minutes from both the nearby state park and the cute, historic town of Berkeley Springs. The host was very responsive to any questions that came up, and was very eager to ensure we had the best experience possible.

Awesome Large Cabin

This was a great cabin and me and my family enjoyed it a lot. The location is great, there are a plenty of beds and places for hanging out in and out of the cabin. Communication with the owner was smooth. Would highly recommend this!

Perfect weekend away!

This was the perfect spot for a large group trying to have a weekend away. The main level is very spacious for the whole group. Every room had multiple beds which were very comfortable. Tony was great to work with, responds quickly and made the process easy! Berkeley Springs Brewery is about one mile down the road, this was a great spot to check out during the day. Highly recommend staying here!

A lovely spot for a cabin getaway

My friends and I visited the Bear’s Den for a celebratory birthday weekend, and we had a wonderful time! The cabin was spacious and the host was super helpful every step of the way. We really enjoyed spending our days outside on the large deck, grilling and enjoying the fresh air. There were also some walking trails accessible just a few minutes walk down the road. A great spot for a family or group of friends looking to get out of the city and enjoy each other’s company.

Great for Groups

We stayed at this house while on a bike trip along the C&O Canal. Place was large enough to support our group and the rooms met our needs. We used the grill and the dining room was just the right size. Having a washer and dryer was a plus. Kitchen had all we needed to store perishables and cook two meals. Would stay there again!

The Bears Den

We stayed here overnight on our way home from the beach. It was an absolutely beautiful area and the cabin was exactly as described! We enjoyed it very much so did our dogs! To our surprise there was a propane fire put on the front porch too.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Bear's Den in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
