The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. It was very well stocked and there were clear instructions for checkin, checkout and other property rules. We have a wonderful stay and hope to return sometime soon!

Our family loved staying at this magical spot -- overlooking the ocean, fires on the beach, and all the amenities you could need. Fantastic for a large group of all ages.

Wonderful home on the beach

Our time at this home was wonderful. It’s beautifully decorated and located right on the beach. Very peaceful and serene. The owner was very responsive and an absolute delight to communicate with. We would happily rent here again.

Beautiful view

Great waterfront and nice deck with outdoor furniture for up to 8 The place was clean and well equipped! Our grandson loved the foosball table and exploring the tidal pools. Very large property, it would be great for a business retreat.

Family get together

Incredible property! Incredible view and fun decor. Lots of space for everyone to gather or disperse. We had a few issues but received prompt support to resolve the issues. Really nice spot for s get together.

Our beach front is a typical westcoast beach with rocks as can be seen from the photos and description in our listing. Children play at the beach all the time. We recommend water shoes as it is rocky.

Family reunion

Fabulous property in a great location. Enjoyed by all age groups. Kids loved to explore the rock pools and beachcombe amongst the driftwood and shore. Adults loved the beautiful view and the relaxing sound of the Ocean. House was superbly equipped. All the family would love to return in the future.

So Perfect

We had our whole family staying .. plenty of room for all. Although the weather wasn't the greatest (so really couldn't take full enjoyment from the fabulous outdoor spaces) we were totally fine with inside games/ space and comfort. Being right on the water, sipping a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and just enjoying the view (and seals, eagles, hawks, hummingbirds) was a vacation in itself! Highly recommend!

The Driftwood Beach House

This was a wonderful place to gather our family, consisting of my wife and I, our 3 children, their spouses and our 5 grandchildren. The house is absolutely great, with an entertaining contemporary Pop Art decor. The kitchen is super well stocked. The game room was very popular. The electronics are up to date and in good working order. The views, the beach, the fire pit....all worked to make this location ideal. The pictures cannot do it justice.

Amazing experience

It’s a very nice house. We enjoyed it very much, but few things were not functional, such as smoke detector went off in the middle of the night . The owner is responsible, but didn’t solve every minor problem.

It is very unfortunate that a smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night. Every person who owns a home knows that smoke alarms sometimes beep in when the batteries are low, which is why we only use 10-year lithium ones. They were all installed just3 years ago and we check them several times per year. However, they also malfunction at times and we have no control over that. There is nothing we could have done to avoid this.

Birthday getaway

I rented this property for my family (6 adults and 2 young children) to celebrate a milestone birthday. The pictures are very accurate, the house was clean and everything was very clearly organized/labelled. There was more than enough space for us all. The hosts are very quick to respond to any questions. By the end of the week, nobody wanted to leave and go home. We already miss sitting on the deck watching the boats, eagles and seals. Please note that the hosts make it clear that the house is not childproof. We had no issues with it, the biggest concern was the stairs but they are easy to see from multiple sitting areas. Hope to return one day!

Ok stay

We were really excited about our upcoming stay, sadly didn’t find the beach access child friendly, and had issues with tv which we don’t think we would have been so disappointed with had their been some compensation (better customer service as we paid for it) and better communication. We paid a lot to stay there and after an accidental break of a fridge part, but not up to standard with what was offered in the cost of the rental. I sadly would not stay here again.

During this guest's stay, one of 7 TVs in the house stopped working due to a Telus box malfunction. We were on email and on the phone with this guest immediately and repeatedly trying to fix the problem. We always respond to any guest concerns immediately as we did with this guest; we have 3 people monitoring our email at all times. Once it was determined that it was a Telus problem, we immediately ordered a new box from Telus, but Telus did not deliver it until after this guest's short 4-day stay. The other 6 TVs in the house all worked throughout their stay. For a minor inconvenience such as this, we do not offer compensation as it does not interfere with the use of the house. The beach at the Driftwood Beach House is exactly as shown in our photos and as described in our listing; it is a Pacific Northwest beach with rocks. Small children play on the beach all the time as they love foraging for starfish, swimming, finding crabs and rummaging through the rocks.

We loved our stay. The view was amazing, the kitchen was the best stocked & most organized I’ve ever experienced at a short term stay, the beds were comfy, and bathrooms were great.The ants in the kitchen were a tad annoying, but not too awful. The hill is quite steep, and driving in reverse up or down was scary for some of our drivers. Also, we had brought our kayaks hoping to kayak directly from the house, but that wasn’t possible due to us feeling unsafe carrying them down the extremely steep hill and over the huge driftwood. That was our only disappointment.

The path to the waterfront has one steep section, but we take our paddle boards up and down it regularly and out over the Driftwood to the waterfront. The Horizon Suite is on a typical Pacific Northwest rocky beach. We provide all the information in our listing so that guests are well-informed prior to booking.

Our cleaning fees are less than the amount we pay to our cleaners. Cleaning costs have increased significantly in recent years particularly in resort areas such as the Sunshine Coast, Whistler, Kauai and the Rocky Mountains. We could use less expensive cleaners, but the property would not be well-maintained if we did so.

the only thing missing were the Killer Whales!!

What more could anyone ask for- sea ,sun, blue sky and a beautiful house within a stones throw from the ocean! The house and furnishings were superb and the beds and bedrooms enormous with ample space for our party of 11 adults whether dining,playing cards or just relaxing, either indoors or outdoors on the deck or patio or in the hot tub!!

Family fun in the sun

We absolutely love sechelt. And this property was one of the best. The location was perfect with its own parcel of a rocky beach. We were close to the town but far enough to have peace and quiet. The house was more than well equipped with everything we needed. Enough room for 4 families and enough things to do for all the kids. I definitely recommend staying at driftwood.

Everything is good especially enough rooms for a big group, but just Beware of their Unfriendly neighbor. Don’t cross the line on the back yard.
