Rivermoon Retreat is located in a quiet town of Warren, NH. Well positioned to everything that White Mountains has to offer - from skiing to hiking to lots of other family and outdoor adventures.

Hiking in the White Mountains and surrounding areas ranges from kid and dog-friendly hikes to our more challenging "4000-footers" and the pinnacle for all advanced hikers, Mount Washington (6,288 feet at the summit). The popular Appalachian Trail crosses right through the center of Warren and some of the most beautiful waterfalls and natural stone formations are located along the Kancamagus (Rt 112) and most are short, easy walks.

For skiing, there are numerous options right nearby:

* Loon Mountain Resort: 21 miles from house. 3 peaks, 61 trails, terrain parks, 2100 foot vertical drop.

* Dartmouth Skiway: located 23 miles from the house, dartmouth skiway is the base of the dartmouth college ski teams and has 2 mountains with runs for all abilities.

* Cannon Mountain: 29 miles from the house. 81 trails and glades. Fantastic views. Aerial tramway located here.

* Whaleback Mountain: 37 miles from the house. 30 trails. Day and night skiing.

There is so much to do in the White Mountains and tons to see. We can't list everything here, but some of the more popular destinations for things to see and do include: Clark's Trading Post, Mount Washing Auto Road and Cog Railway, Quincy Bog Nature Area, The Flume Gorge, The Basin, Lost River Gorge & Caves, Polar Caves in Rumney, Lake Squam, Lake Winnipesaukee, Hobo Railroad, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway and the Conway Scenic Railroad.

As this property is located in a fairly rural part of New Hampshire, having a car is pretty necessary to get around.

We are walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a convenience store, but beyond that, you're going to be looking to drive places!

Delightful for a group of friends in 30’s

Small group taking advantage of all the space so everyone had their own room. Small hiccup with hot tub and sauna but Boris was immediately responsive and resolved within the hour. Weather was horrible and we didn’t mind because it was just more time for the hot tub and sauna.

Amazing House

This place is fantastic. It's such an interesting house with plenty of space to fit everyone. Communication with the owners was clear and consistent. There was plenty to do in the area or just hanging around the house. A major plus was that the beds were all extremely comfortable. Loved our stay!

Family Wedding

Our son's wedding took place at Kingswood Camp, about 5 miles up the road from River Moon Retreat. We rented this home for family members who wanted to attend the wedding, but the idea of a bunk house and late night walks to the restroom did not fit in their world! It was loved by family members who were able to take advantage of all the comforts. It was so clean, filled with interesting items and so inviting. We enjoyed the late night chats around the huge kitchen, with room for all. Our stay ended with just our two sons and our new daughter-in-law enjoying a walk down to the rivers edge, having dinner brought in and sitting around the kitchen island and late night hot tub under the most beautiful, star-filled August sky. A truly memorable week in your beautiful home. Thank you!

Gorgeous house

This is an absolutely beautiful house. Decor is very charming Each room is unique and delightful. Kitchen is huge. Backyard is a gem. My only complain would be that only third floor bedrooms has AC and we went during a hot spell. Owners were very responsive and send over extra fans to make us comfortable. It is a perfect place for a large group.

Lovely property

Wonderful stay. The rooms were all very comfortable and the deck and backyard were awesome. We really enjoyed the river with the kids, who were between 18 months and 7. Nice hikes nearby and a lake with a little beach.

I (Susan) am originally from China and have been living in the US for nearly 8 years, having originally moved here for grad school and then ending up working as a digital marketer. My husband, Boris, is a startup founder who runs his own electric bike company. I'm a huge photography buff - many of the photos you'll see in our house are the ones done by us in our travels. We both love to travel ourselves and try to stay at Airbnb wherever we go. Over the last few years, we've traveled together to Africa, Cuba, Iceland, Eastern and Western Europe, and Asia - as much as possible we love to incorporate travel in our lifestyle.

Actually, in 2018, we've realized one of our biggest dreams - having done a 20,000 mile overland journey from US to Argentina by car. On the long-distance journey, we've stayed in many Airbnbs who have become the highlights for us. We wanted to share our house with Airbnb guests as a way to pay back the incredibly hospitality and experiences we've encountered ourselves during our travels.

We know what it's like to come to a new place for the first time and our goal is to provide you with a wonderful, cozy and unique place to stay and advice and feedback that you would expect from a friend.

It's one of those rare houses that makes you smile from the moment you walk in and offers a multitude of surprises and discoveries as you get more familiar with it. Everything about it - from the beautiful interior with every room have its own character to the fact that it's right on the river and overlooks beautiful mountain ranges -- it just makes you want to spend time there with your family and friends. It's nearly 200 years old and we consider it an honor to be able to continue its tradition and share it with other families and groups, so they can enjoy it as much as we do.
