Pros: Great location. Short drive to all the major attractions- aquarium, Riverdogs, downtown, etc. Several restaurants and coffee shops are very close by. Great parking in an area where parking is scarce.Cons: The listing says the property has air conditioning, but it is not central AC. Each room has its own wall-mounted AC unit, and they simply cannot keep up with Charleston summer heat. Thereâs no AC in the bathrooms, so they stay humid. In fact, the whole apartment was steamy and humid and had a moldy smell over the course of our week there. We spent our first night washing all of the towels that were left folded on the beds because the towels were damp. The AC unit in the main bedroom was great - but that was the only cool room in the apartment. The living area/kitchen was consistently around 80 degrees in the afternoons and evenings and was very damp and humid. The week we were there was incredibly hot, but thereâs clearly a problem when thereâs that much humidity in a home. We did report this and they were responsive and sent someone to look at the AC unit, but they said it was working fine - it was just too hot outside. Weâre from North FL, so weâre used to summer heat, but the humidity inside this apartment was very uncomfortable.
