Log Cabin Daylight Basement Family Fun Center, Hot Tub, Free EV Charging
3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths Daylight Basement of a beautiful log home on 5 acres at the foothills of the Olympics. Warm up by the wood burning stove and enjoy a movie on the projector screen with surround sound or play some air hockey, pop-a-shot basketball or darts. Soak in the hot tub with a view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca (note: shared with other guests).
Layout (please see pictures to confirm this suits your needs):
Inside:
- Common Area has sectional couch, projector screen with soundbar, wood-burning stove, pop-a-shot, and air hockey table
- Kitchen with sink, 5 burner glasstop electric stove/convection oven, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, ninja mini-oven, instant pot, griddle, plates, cups, utensils
- Master Bedroom has a Queen Bed and bathroom (shared with Bedroom 2)
- Bedroom 2 has twin-size bunk beds, a twin-size day bed, and a small futon. Shares an adjacent bathroom with the Master Bedroom
- Bedroom 3 has twin-size bunk beds, a queen pullout couch, and an adjacent bathroom shared with the Common Area. LG Washer/Dryer is located in the closet.
- Please be aware that the space hasn’t been set up for small children so you’ll need to keep an eye on them if you have any.
- Also, this space is the Basement of our home, so you will hear noise from the residents upstairs (voices, walking, etc.) but we try to limit our noise and ask guests to limit their noise as well and adhere to the quiet hours (10pm-7am). It may be best to consider other options if you're concerned about being limited by this.
Outside:
- Level 2 EV Charging (30A, 220V, 4 KW, 10mi/hr) available for 1 vehicle with Tesla/NACS or J1772 (please request in advance).
- BBQ: There is a propane BBQ outside the Basement. Please clean with brushes when done.
- Hot Tub: You'll have access to the hot tub, which is located in front of the Basement and is shared with the residents and guests from the Garage Studio (a separate VRBO space) via a sign-up board to ensure privacy and social distancing).
- Backyard and Property (shared with the residents and Garage Studio guests): You'll also have access to the backyard and are welcome to walk around the property to take in the views, use the trampoline and play structure (Children must be supervised and use at your own risk).

The host was great! First time renting a house that was occupied by the owners as well, but it was perfect. We never heard or saw them, never once felt like we were sharing. Their dog loves to come play and she is an absolute sweetheart! We also had deer every morning out the bedroom windows

Only recommendation to stock the kitchen with good quality pots and pans and cooking equipment. The spatulas were all plastic and there was no blender in the kitchen.The host was very responsive and provided us with a big pot, but I prefer a good stocked up Kitchen because we like to prep our own meals. Besides that the property is nice and well maintained!

Beautiful location well placed between Port Angeles and Sequim. As advertised, it was a family friendly spot. My 94 year old father and my mother came out to eat dinner with us one night and had not problems navigating into the house. (Always an issue with his limited mobility and balance) Everyone was comfortable.

Great home base for Olympic National Park
We had a great stay. Tons of room for our family of four, and could have easily fit three or more people. Modern and clean!

Great Getaway!
The property is in a great location. We were there to explore Olympic National Park. The beds were comfortable and plentiful. The host was very responsive. We had a great time!

Loved the place
Really enjoyed our stay. Air hockey and basketball were great for the little one and hot tub was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Excellent home. Even better than it seems in the photos! It feels new and clean, there is beautiful scenery, and it’s close to the hikes we came to the area to do. The hosts were present and responsive.

This is a perfect property for a family. Easy access to the park, and town. Lots of fun things for them to do at the house. Easy stay. Great communication.

We would rate this property five stars! I stayed with my father and two daughters on a family trip, and it accommodated all of us well!PROSair hockey table and trampoline for the kids!hot tub Kitchen with everything we neededHosts were kind and easy to communicate withCONSNoise transfer is our only con! The hot tub (which is shared with another rental) is located maybe 10 feet from the window of one of the bedrooms, and the guests from the other rental used it after 11pm. They were not partying, but their laughter and conversation was very loud through the window! Also, footstep and shower noises transfer from the home above into the basement floor where this rental is. Not at all a problem the first two nights but the final night there was noise above the queen bed after 10:30pm when we are all in bed. The hosts responded kindly and quickly to our message which speaks to their responsiveness. The noise was by no means a deal-breaker, and we still gave five stars, but it is worth knowing so you can decide if this works for your group! Everything else was amazing!

Amazing find !!!
We had a great stay with my 5 grandkids . They loved the yard and games . Theater room was amazing, it was perfect for us . It had everything we needed!! We will definitely be back !

Great for kids
The accommodations were exactly as advertised and it was perfect for the kids (2 boys, aged 5 and 8) and the owner was very responsive to dealing with any issues. There were multiple guests on the property which should have been expected but there was more overlap/less privacy than expected, but that may have been my issue for not managing expectations on the side of me and my family.

We do try to make it clear in the description, pictures and welcome guide that the backyard and hot tub are a shared space.
I believe there was only one couple staying in the other space and there wasn't much overlap but sorry to hear you didn't have as much privacy as you thought.

Grandma camp
We were outnumbered by the grandkids!! We had a good time in spite of a mini flu epidemic.
However, the basketball game didn't work right. A couple of surprises were the amount of steps going down to the basement, and having to share the hot tub.

We do call out the hot tub being shared with other guests in the property description and photos along with the Welcome Guide sent to each guest.
We do have a couple of other ways to access the space that avoid the stairs and will take a look at the basketball game. Encourage you to work with your hosts during the stay to help resolve any issues that come up vs. mentioning in review afterward when it's too late to help :).

Great spot in Port Angeles near Olympic NP
We had a very nice stay at the family fun center. Description was accurate and just what we expected. Bedrooms were nice and comfortable. There was a washer and dryer available to use. It is below the family's main living space so there was some foot noise above, which was disclosed and expected. Outdoor yard space is very nice for the kids. The hot tub is right outside and common use for another rental space, but there are privacy curtains on the windows so no concern. We did not utilize it this trip and the others did not either. We had a great stay and enjoyed the spot, would do it again.

Nice place. A little awkward with the hot tub being right outside the french doors. Had a hard time getting a hold of the property manager. It was cold and we had a pregnant lady who needed to use the restroom but the key pad battery was not working and we ended bring stranded outside for 30 minutes in that cold. Hopefully that does not happen to others.

Apologies the batteries died in the door lock keypad and you couldn't get a hold of us while we had both stepped away from our phones for 30 min. We hadn't received the requested ETA so didn't know when to expect you and be available for your check-in:).
We've added a backup key in case the code doesn't work.
The hot tub is off to the side of the french doors by 10'+. We haven't had any other guests mention it being awkward and would need more details to try and better address this.

Not accurate description of property
Unfortunately my husband and i brought our 3 teens and 3 of their friends for a relaxing weekend and quite a few things at this property made things less than relaxing: ABSOLUTELY NO welcome instructions from owners with how to leave property or what to do while we are there, No designated towels for hot tub (had to use bath towlels) and there were limited towels for 8 people, NO access to washer/ dryer, basketball hoop scoreboard does not work, scoring on air hockey table does not work, unable to access guest login for amazon prime video on tv, full kitchen with a tiny mini frig that would turn on and off, BBQ lighter did not work, kitchen silverware, glassware, cooking utensils very limited. AND I believe OUR BIGGEST GRIEVANCE is that the owners upstairs request quiet after 10pm - and we could hear them stomping around as early as 6AM - and doing construction all evening on Saturday while we were trying to watch a movie with our kids. this construction also set off the fire alarm - scaring our kids. who does construction when you are hosting paying guests in the same house? Overall, no we would never return and never recommend this property to our friends or family.

We strive for a 5-star experience and ask our guests to please let us know what we can do if that isn't the case. Unfortunately, we weren't given the opportunity to resolve these concerns during the stay as we didn't receive them until the review afterward. So will try to address this for future guests. In general: please let us know what you need and we'll try to get it for you :).
1) We have over 5 pages of instructions in the Welcome Guide in VRBO that is sent to each guest prior to their stay (also available in VRBO app). We highly encourage guests to review it and let us know of any questions/concerns they have prior to or during the stay.
2) We haven't had guests request separate towels for the hot tub, but can certainly provide more if needed. Just send us a message :)
3) We don't have a washer/dryer listed as one of the Amenities, so not sure why one was expected (though we are working on adding one very soon).
4) Issues with the air hockey, basketball, amazon prime, etc. Send us a message and we'll do our best to help fix asap.
5) Mini-Fridge: We're working on adding a full-size fridge very soon. In the meantime, the listing accurately states in the Amenities that it's a mini-fridge so you know what to expect.
6) BBQ lighter not working. There should be a separate lighter for the BBQ and also one for the fireplace. If it's not there or working, sends us a message and we'll get you one that is :)
7) Limited silverware, glassware, and utensils: Let us know what you need more of and we'll get it for you.
8) Apologies for the noise upstairs. We do have the following in the Welcome Guide but didn't hear from you: "Note: This space is the basement of our home, so you will hear noise from the residents upstairs (voices, walking, etc.). We want you to enjoy your stay so please feel free to send us a message if it gets too loud and we will do the same:)." In addition, we went downstairs to apologize for the smoke alarm being set off, where your children indicated everything was ok.
