One Night Drive By

For a quick stay this place was excellent. On my own and passing through, this loft hit me as a cute place to stay for a girls weekend! It was clean and the host was communicative when needed.

Upstairs had a beautiful lake view

First time in area, flew into Portland Maine, easy to get there good launching point for our leaf-peeping adventure in the New England States.

Weekend Trip

I stayed here for a weekend in August. The bed was comfortable. Sunset view of the lake from balcony/windows was beautiful. Quick walk to the lake. FYI There is no air conditioning and no dishwasher. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom & an extra fan is provided. The weekend I was there it was humid with highs in the 80s & 60s at night so the loft was very sticky & uncomfortable at times. Kitchen has basic amenities.

Gorgeous Location - Couple of drawbacks

The loft is in a very nice location with access to a beautiful lake. Close to a lot of great places to go, and has one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. That being said, we arrived at around 10:30 pm, and opened the door to what felt like a sauna. It was well over 80 degrees in the loft. We opened the two sliding glass doors, and found that the apartment only had two puny little fans. It took hours to get it cool enough to be able to sleep. The only window in the whole loft, besides the sliding glass doors, is in the bathroom, and it has a huge crack in it. The bathroom fan also did not work. Every night when we came back it was a constant struggle to cool the loft to a comfortable temperature. If the main and balcony doors had screens on them it would have helped a lot in cooling the place down. There is a door out to a balcony right next to the bed, but it doesn't have any curtains on it, and is mostly glass. The sun shone right on the bed at sunrise and woke us up. This is a problem that could be very easily remedied. The bed was probably one of the nicest I've slept in, which makes it even stranger that the couch was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat on. I would suggest that the owners spend a couple of nights at the place themselves and see what needs to be changed or fixed to make the place more comfortable to stay in. It's just a bunch of common sense things that would immediately make a huge difference.

A hot week in July

Cute place, central to many activities. Would stay again only if a/c is available as it was extreme weather. I need instructions for operating TV - but that's just me.

A great place to stay

We loved our stay at the Sebago loft. Even though we were only there for one night it was everything we needed. It is a short drive to the restaurants and stores. The space is perfect for two to three people and the view was gorgeous. Shawn and Elise were quick to help and answer questions. We would stay there again.

beautiful and peaceful

The bed was incredibly comfortable. The view was beautiful and there was a lot of sunlight and lots of room. Very comfortable stay and hope to come back again some day soon.

Maine Cottage Keepers (MCK) is a small property management and vacation rental company. Pat & Shawn-Elise Lapomarda are both the property owners and operators of the business. We are local to the MidCoast and Sebago Lake Region areas, operating and living in both.

Back in 2013, we bought a cottage down the road from Shawn-Elise's dad, near where she grew up. It was a special place to her because as a child, it was her friend’s great aunt’s home and she visited there often. We both love the location and lived there full time for a short while. In 2016, we weren’t there as much as we wanted and still paid for it each month. So we decided to rent it out when we weren’t using it. We accelerated some projects we had been putting off. We did a thorough cleaning and took some new photos. Then we listed it and our first listing, Sea Rose Cottage, was born.
