Enjoy watching the tundra swans and snow geese fly overhead in the winter and view the black bears throughout the spring, summer and fall. Completely renovated 3 bd, 1 ba. Best location

Great location for wildlife viewing. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need. Mjs country store has great food to go. We'll be back for sure.

Perfect spot for our family

We were able to enjoy a comfortable stay close to the wilderness we wanted to explore. Comfortable beds, CLEAN, WiFi, Had Kitchen amenities that we needed and more, great location!

PERFECT location

It was supposed to be me and my sister but her plans changed so my hubby came with me. It was a PERFECT location to spend 3 days at Pungo looking for bears and wildlife. Before we have stayed IN Washington and had to drive an hour each way roughly. Now we could go out as many times as we wanted to throughout the day and then return to rest at the house and use the bathroom and eat etc....... There is a Great Horned Owl that perches each night across the street on trees and poles and came in the yard at least once or twice each night. The house was comfortable and very clean. I have already made reservations for a few times next year. The little corner store makes breakfast and lunches. Simply limited menu but worked out well. I would recommend. The house had all the things needed in the kitchen. I always bring my Keurig and it broke. I was happy to find that the house has a coffee maker AND all the supplies (filters, cream, sugar, coffee). They always had a bunch of cooking spices, and all the laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, dishsodp, hand soap and shampoo that we needed. Sheets and towels were high quality. We needed for nothing while there. Perfect stay!!!

My husband grew up in this home and has many wonderful memories of his time here. We often have visiting family and friends and wanted to have a place for them but also a place that gives others the opportunity to explore the unique areas of eastern NC.
