Relax and enjoy all that Western Maine has to offer in this cozy 4-season chalet. Conveniently located less than 5 minutes from charming Bethel Village and less than 15 minutes to both Sunday River Ski Resort and Mt. Abram Ski Area and Bike Park. 

A wood stove creates the perfect ambiance for this 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. Air conditioning provides relief in the warmer months. Bedrooms are on separate floors for added privacy. Living area and finished basement include flat screen HDTVs with YouTubeTV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime included for your entertainment. Washer and dryer located in basement.

Perfect Family Retreat!

Wonderfully warm and inviting chalet! Perfect for unplugging, and truly connecting with nature and loved ones. While the Thanksgiving feast was cooking, the snow was falling. It was perfect! My husband and son had a great time hitting the slopes at Sunday River which was a quick drive from the house. After a day of adventure in the snow, it was wonderful to come back and spend family time with the available board games or just hang and watch a movie. Thank you Maura for allowing us the pleasure of staying in your wonderful chalet. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Cozy and Set Up Well for Visitors

Cozy chalet is a good description for this cute house. The common spaces are not big but comfortable for a couple or small family. Kitchen area open to living room and good size back deck. The house makes great use of space to accommodate many guests on three floors. The bedrooms are small but nicely decorated with nice linens. We slept very well in 2nd floor bedroom while our dog slept in the loft area. The location is good, close to the town center and many hiking areas. Moo Eats, a Vietnamese fusion restaurant at the end of the street, is wonderful, and the famous Gemini bakery for coffee and pastries is very close. We enjoyed hiking nearby in some mountains and even walking the family-friendly Bethel Pathway. Lovely area to see foliage for a long weekend. I'd return to this house because it's reasonably priced and offers many home comforts.

Cute little spot

This little house was just what our family needed for the week. Everyone had a comfortable bed. Not far from Bethel village. We went horseback riding at a local farm. Went to see some beautiful waterfalls.

Cozy Cabin

Maura’s space was a lovely cozy cabin perfect for friends and family! Plenty to do in and around the property. We had a great trip and Maura was extremely accommodating- we look forward to visiting again! :)

Perfect Bethel Maine getaway!!!

super convenient, super cute cottage

Great location just outside of downtown Bethel. Very cute living room/kitchen area, open to a loft above. The loft has the coziest comfiest daybeds up against the window! I could have stayed there all night. The floors & stairs of this house are unusually creaky - not sure what the fix is, but if you are a light sleeper make sure no one gets up during the night!

Highly recommend!

Great location to downtown Bethel and Sunday River. Plenty of space and comfortable bedrooms. Fireplaces kept the house toasty and the basement area would be great for kids. Would stay again!

A great place to stay for skiing at Sunday River

This was our second time staying at the Black Bear Cabin, and -- as during the last time -- it didn't disappoint. We appreciated the new HVAC system that provided for a comfortable temperature on the main levels of the house. The wood stove in the living room is great, too. The place is private and quiet, yet not far from town. The house had everything we needed. I highly recommend this rental.

Everything is Great Outdoors

My wife and I go to Bethel for the outdoor activity and the town of Bethel. Long weekend, we hiked Table Rock at Grafton Notch, stopped at the pie stand on 26 and hiked the Long Mtn Trail which is just down the road. Maura's house is very well kept and super convenient to town. Not to mention pet friendly.

Bear Cabin Getaway

We so enjoyed our stay at the Bear Cabin. Very clean and comfortable with all supplies needed for our stay. The cabin was modern with plenty of room for three adults and dog. It's close to town with many good restaurants. Maura is an excellent hostess. We look forward to returning.

Great location with all the amenities

The house is close to town and ski resorts. All the amenities we needed - kitchen was well stocked and house slept the 6 of us adults with plenty of space to spread out. We were able to enjoy the back deck on a sunny afternoon in March - quite a treat. Would definitely stay again.
