The property of Gîtes du Vieux Mas de l'Étourneau offers two adjoining cottages for rent listed on Abritel. Located in a magnificent region between the Crau and the Rhône, less than 25 kilometers from Arles, at the crossroads of prestigious tourist sites: Provence, the Crau and the Camargue. The city of Arles will charm you with its beautiful Roman monuments classified as historical heritage.

Quiet, lulled by the song of the cicadas, you will be accommodated within the Camargue natural park and near the Vigueirat marshes. The Mas de l'étourneau is bordered by vineyards, rice fields and other crops. We welcome you to the heart of our working farm. You will be welcomed in the property dating from the 17th century with stone facades.

Each cottage has on the ground floor a living room with kitchen, dining room and living room as well as two bedrooms and a bathroom-wc upstairs. Each has its own terrace with a view of the swimming pool and the large shared garden. The cottages are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets.
The Via Rhôna (cycling route along the Rhône), which passes just behind the farmhouse, will offer you many possibilities for bike rides, or on foot suitable for families. You will enjoy the beaches of Salin de Giraud, Beauduc, Port saint louis (approx. 25km) but also Saintes marie de la mer, the Calanques or even the Grande Motte.

We will be happy to welcome you to the Camargue so that you can enjoy a Provencal stay during your vacation.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed the very clean and neat house and it's big garden. It's located nicely between Arles and some great parts of the Camargue. We didn't miss the WiFi. And most of all, we loved the wonderful our hosts, who made us feel very welcome and took good care of us.

A nice and calm accommodation equipped with everything

The farmhouse is equipped with everything and the outside entertainment area offers a lot of relaxation for one to just stay at the residence and enjoy moments of peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. The location of the farmhouse is ideal to reach most places in the Camargue , Alpilles areas within an hour or less. The hosts are very helpful and full of tips of how one can can make the most of the visit. :)

Nice place in the middle of pure nature

Plain house with all necessary items on-board. Very friendly and hosts in separate building. In the house: Good sleeping conditions and sufficient space for 4 people. Lots of regional information available Mobile phone and Internet conditions are basic. Outside the house: Provence :-)

Wunderschönes Haus am Naturschutzgebiet

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, das Haus liegt ideal um Ausflüge mit dem Rad oder Auto in das Naturschutzgebiet der Camargue und die umliegenden Städte zu unternehmen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet, der Garten und der Pool laden zum verweilen ein. Isabelle und Michele sind aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Gastgeber die uns viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben haben, wir haben uns sehr über die netten Gespräche gefreut. Im Haus ist mit Mobilfunkempfang nicht zu rechnen, was sehr zur Entspannung beiträgt.

Sommerurlaub in der Camargue

Wir durften unseren Sommerurlaub in diesem wunderbaren Domizil verbringen und waren rundum begeistert. Isabelle und Michele sind absolut nette, zuvorkommende und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die stets darum bemüht waren, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Das Anwesen liegt günstig, um von dort aus die Umgebung und Städte wie Arles, Montpellier oder Avignon zu erkunden. Bis zum Strand sind es ca. 25 km, was für uns ideal war. Es gibt verschiedene Strände in der Nähe – hier dürfte wirklich für jeden etwas dabei sein. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den fantastischen Pool. Er war stets sauber und gepflegt und hat unseren Kindern jede Menge Freude bereitet. Wir können sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die herzlichen Vermieter uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schön

Isabelle und Michel waren sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt, trotz fehlender beidseitiger Sprachkenntnisse. Das Objekt war sehr schön, groß und gepflegt. Der Pool war bei den Temperaturen perfekt. Der Bauernhof liegt sehr ländlich und ruhig, aber dennoch für Ausflüge zum Meer und viele schöne Orte zentral. Dafür ist ein Auto unerlässlich. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit und unsere absolute Empfehlung.

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet und super sauber, alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Die Terasse, der Garten und der Pool sind ein Traum! Isabelle und Michel waren sehr zuvorkommend und super hilfsbereit. Wir haben die Zeit hier in der Camargue sehr genossen!

Große und gepflegte Wohnung in absolut ruhiger Lage. Komplette Küche perfekt für Selbstverpflegung. Schöner Freisitz und Swimmingpool. Gastgeber sehr hilfreich bei allen Fragen. Supermarkt und Restaurants in 15 km Entfernung.

Sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt in wunderschönem Haus

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen erholsamen Aufenthalt. Ein wunderschöner Garten mit tollem Pool, ein altes Bauernhaus mit viel Flair, gelegen auf einem ruhigen Grundstück, inmitten der Felder. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die viele Tipps und Empfehlungen geben konnten. Die Wohnung selber ist gut und ausreichend ausgestattet. Wir haben die Stille sehr genossen. Für Unternehmungen sind Autofahrten nötig, an sich ist die Lage gut, da sowohl die schönen Ziele in der Camargue als auch Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence innerhalb von 30-50 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen sind. Einzig schade war, dass es kein WLAN gab. Internetempfang über Handy war jedoch kein Problem. Schönes Haus, tolle Umgebung, freundliche Gastgeber - vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt! Wir würden wiederkommen!

Superbe location au calme, piscine et parc très agréable avec également une très belle terrasse. Intérieur très propre et tout confort. Isabelle et Michel sont très sympathiques et toujours disponibles pour des renseignements et de bons conseils. Je conseille les yeux fermés !

Wunderbar! Wir kommen wieder! :)

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus auf einem Bauernhof. Isabelle und Michel sind tolle Gastgeber, die Anlage und das Haus sind sehr gepflegt, sehr schön und ruhig. Man muss sich anstrengen um mal ein Auto zu hören. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen!

Vacances entre terre et mer

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, Michel et Isabelle sont aux petits soins pour leurs locataires et prêts à aider en cas de besoin. Le logement est climatisé (indispensable l'été) et la literie est de bonne qualité (détail important pour bien se reposer car ce n'est pas toujours le cas...). La piscine est un atout sans aucun doute. Nous reviendrons.

Ein sehr schöner Urlaub

Die gîte ist einerseits ruhig, andererseits aber auch sehr zentral gelegen, sodass viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in naher Umgebung liegen. Michel und Isabelle sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und jederzeit da, wenn man sie braucht. Die gîte ist sehr gut ausgestattet, komfortabel, traditionell eingerichtet und sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub!

Schönes Ferienhaus mit guter Anbindung

Das Ferienhaus ist eines von 2 Doppelhaushälften, die Vermieter wohnen mit auf dem Gelände. Das Grundstück ist toll angelegt und bietet ausreichend Platz für beide Parteien. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist gut und bietet im Grunde alles was man braucht.

Vacances agréables dans un havre de paix

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances dans ce gîte… Il est à la fois coupé du monde et à 30-60 minutes d’énormément de sites qui valent le déplacement… Le gîte dispose du confort nécessaire et son environnement est très soigné. Très agréable séjour de 3 jours

Gite au calme total, très bien placé pour visiter la région. Isabelle et Michel sont aux petits soins tout en étant discrets. Jardin très agréable. Gite très propre. Nos enfants ne voulaient plus repartir! Nous recommandons!!
