This spacious five-bedroom home, plus a den, comfortably accommodates up to fourteen guests, making it ideal for family gatherings or trips with friends. Recently updated in 2024, this home boasts all-new bathrooms and a modern kitchen, along with an EV charger, gleaming hardwood floors, and fresh furnishings to enhance your stay. Enjoy two charming screened-in porches, perfect for unwinding with a
relaxing book or sipping your favorite drink. The den features a desk and work area, making it easy to catch up on emails or plan your next adventure. You’ll love the ample space for relaxation and fun, whether it’s sharing meals in the outdoor eating area, playing games, or enjoying cozy conversations. Take in breathtaking bay views from the rooftop deck, where you can sip your morning coffee while watching boats glide by or enjoy evening drinks as the sun sets in a dazzling display. Please be aware that this property does not allow pets.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement, and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Guest for the entire rental period. The Guest signing the Lodging Agreement must be at least 25 years of age and must occupy the Property for the entire rental period. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards (subject to a 2.75% Convenience Fee). We also accept E-Checks with no fees, as well as personal checks. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall stay was great. The property had plenty of room to accommodate our 13 guests. Location was perfect with access to the beach and quick commute to friends. One of your guests had dog hair on there bed and we noticed dust and sand in the kitchen and living room area upon our arrival. Not a huge make our break situation. One thing I found a bit unfortunate was no hand soap throughout the house. There was plenty of dish soap from left overall guests and a pantry full of coffee essentials, trash bags etc. The linen package which I recall was 300 or 400 USD. We did not purchase the package and were fine bringing our own linens and towels. This was not a huge deal but don't understand when being charged a cleaning fee and had to purchase insurance of why this was not accommodate? Overall though it was a great weekend with friends and family.

140 Henlopen Shores Circle in a nutshell

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful and well-appointed. Fixtures appeared new. The kitchen appeared new. It is close to the beach. We all felt comfortable in this house. One problem, not created by the owner, was the 3 clogged toilets (out of 4) we experienced. Evidently this was caused by a cleaning solution that congealed in the drain. This problem was not fully solved until Wednesday of our vacation week. That was a bit of a bummer. Our rental agent couldn’t get a handyman out until Tuesday. And then we had another clog near midnight. The owner finally had a plumber come out to check the drains on Thursday. All clear. This is lovely home for a vacation. Our 12 people were comfortable. Our party experienced several local restaurants, especially sea food ones. All our party had good meals.

Great family house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved being so close to Cape Henlopen - we rode bikes every day and played lots of frisbee golf. House is really nice and comfortable... not as posh as the mansions all around it seem to be, but pleasant. Bedrooms are quiet if the living room is noisy with family. Kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of tableware. Had a bit of trouble getting in because since the envelope had keys, I thought they would get us in, but they didn't work in the basement door. Then I realized the keychain had a code for the front door, and that took several tries to open. But realtor rep was nice about it. All in all, a great week!

Family time: down by the Bay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: September turned out to be a beautiful time at the bay and the short walk from the house to the bay was perfect. This was our first family vacation with our grand baby so proximity to the beach was important. The house was lovely with adequate space for the 8 of use to spread put. We spent mornings on the rooftop, sipping coffee and watching the sunrise. The backporch was perfect for dinner each night. We cook and eat in so having a well stocked kitchen is important to us. There is room to grow in having newer cookware. We loved our time and would return again. Thanks so much!!

We loved everything about this house!

The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and serving. It is super convenient to the bay, the ocean, the pool the park, good restaurants, everything. Hope to stay here again in the near future!

Girls Get Beach Get Away

This home was exactly as describe on the site. We had 8 adult women in our group and the home was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The home is located in a great area. It's within walking distance to the beach and private pier. Cape Henlopen State park and the ferry to Cape May were close to the home.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay there. Three things...They offer a ping pong table and paddles, but no balls. We looked high and low but there were none. Two, there is a great fireplace, but the pilot wasn't turned on so even though it was 45 degrees out, we couldn't use it. The pictures show a long picnic table on the same porch as the patio furniture but there wasn't one. Picture should be updated. Otherwise, it is a great location. The house was very open and had the necessary things in the kitchen that we needed. Touch of Italy is a great little restaurant and highly recommended.

The great spring escape!

My coaching staff and I rented this beautiful home for a long weekend while we were coaching a tournament in Milford, DE. It was a short 30-min ride to the event complex and an amazing place for us to retreat in the evening with restaurants just a short drive away. The space was more than adequate for the 7 of us – almost everyone had their own room. Pros: big open kitchen, living room, dining area on the top floor, perfect for eating and gathering together; 2 large decks with outdoor seating, and 1 smaller deck with chairs for tanning (it was too cold to take advantage of these, but hopefully we'll be back another time!); check-in was easy, just a quick stop at the rental offices 5 minutes from the house, packet and keys were ready to be picked up when we arrived; Cons: the only complaint we had is that some of the mattresses were a bit hard. Still an overall great stay and great price.
