Very nice holiday property, equipped to a very good standard (dishwasher, coffee machines, iron, ironing board, well equipped kitchen, induction hob). All electric, no gas so no need for a CO monitor. Great pool area. Private patio and grass area for the property and in a very quiet area of town a short stroll from the sea and several Carrelets typical of Charentais coastine. The host lives on site, very friendly, fluent in English (and German), responsive to requests and not intrusive.Five minute walk to the only supermarket in Fouras. Twenty minute walk to the centre of town, most of Fouras has a speed limit of 30KPH so walking is pleasant even on busy roads.Fouras itself has retained all of the charm of a French seaside town with the added benefit of having port access to Isle d'Aix and trips round Fort Boyard. A number of good beaches (stunningly quiet in September. outside the weekends) and parking readily available. For stunning views, ferry and cruise access and two very good (fish) restaurants don't omit to visit La Fumee (apologies, no accent on my system, the first e is accented acute). Time it right you can have supper to a gorgeous sunset over the Pertuis d'Antioche.
