Fabulous week

We had a great time staying here. 10 people from 3 different families. Plenty of space in the house. The kids had a great time in the garden and swimming in the pool. Fabienne was a great host and communication was excellent. I would definitely recommend this house.

Amazing Country House

The photographs don't do the house justice, there is loads of space, the bedrooms are large and over two wings, which is great if you are two families. The swimming pool, hot tub, ping pong, table football, animal (rabbits, chickens, ducks & tortoises), vegetable patch and gardens games kept everyone busy for our 10 day visit. There is a lot to see in the area, sweetcorn maze, Epernay, Troyes, Reims and Provins were all easy day trips! The property is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and has good indoor and outdoor seating. The host was fantastic with communication. Many thanks for a great stay!!

Beautiful house

We had a wonderful stay at the house. The pool and garden were great and perfect for a relaxing holiday with family. Fabienne was very helpful answering questions before and during our stay.

Magnifique long week-end d’été à la Gouyardière où toute la famille a pu se réunir confortablement. La maison est très conforme à la description qui ne peut rendre hommage à cette vaste et ludique propriété. Les commerces de proximité ont également participé à un séjour très agréable.

Cette ancienne ferme a été restaurée de façon admirable, avec goût. Tout était parfait. 4 jours n'ont pas suffit pour profiter pleinement de toutes les activités.

Un séjour de rêve

Logement rénové avec goût et lieu chargé d'histoire. Encore plus beau qu'en photo. De plus, l'accueil et la communication avec la propriétaire était très chaleureux Les prestations encore plus nombreuses et aussi belles qu'attendues. Je recommande vivement cet endroit autant pour les petits que pour les grands. Une piscine intérieure chauffée et directement dans le salon c'est magique pour ma part! Week-end entre amis au top. Je reviendrai sans aucun doute avec enfants et famille.

As to the property, it's a miraculous piece of art. It had been a totally rundown farm that the host family spent 15 years renovating. The vision and realization of that vision resulted in a property that vastly roomy, wonderfully landscaped, and chock full with amenities no less than built-in swimming pool and outdoor covered jacuzzi. The landscaping and architecture are awe-inspiringly picturesque. The Rousseau/Lefrere family is kind, generous, responsive and a ton of fun! Très bon séjour dans cette charmante demeure...

L'endroit est magnifique, nous étions un groupe d'amies et avons passé un très bon séjour détente dans cette superbe maison. Dès notre arrivée, nous ne cessions de nous extasier devant tant de beauté. L’extérieur tout comme l’intérieur est un musée à ciel ouvert ! Le jardin, les lapins, les poules, les arbres, les plantes, la décoration, les pièces, les objets, ... bref tout était vraiment beau; et la piscine dans le salon un rêve qui se réalise ;-) Le seul petit bémol et là je chipote, c'est peut-être la piscine qui n'était pas tout à fait à 30° sur l'ensemble du weekend et le bain à remous que nous avons pris pour un jacuzzi sur l'annonce et qui s'avère être une baignoire à l'étage. Nous remercions notre hôtesse pour cette fabuleuse découverte et ce moment de tranquillité entre copines dont nous avions bien besoin. Mélanie et les plus jolies

Large spacious property providing good base to explore the Champagne Region.

We stayed as a family of four (two teenagers) and found this a great base for exploring the Region. Spacious and clean property with the addition of own pool. Fabienne was available on hand as required.

A beautiful place

The photographs do not do this property justice. It was much bigger than we expected and absolutely beautiful. Fabienne is really friendly and everything from the booking right through to the handover of keys on the day of departure, was straightforward and simple. The pool is fabulous and we used it almost everyday. There's plenty of room in the courtyard and the garden to relax in and for children to play. Our kids loved the animals - rabbits, chickens and tortoises - and enjoyed feeding them and seeing if the chickens had laid any eggs for them. The trampoline and basketball were well used. There were so many things to keep everyone happy that we hadn't expected (table tennis, swingball, sandbox, swings etc) . The village is lovely and we visited the baker most days for fresh bread and patisserie. Disney is an hour away and we spent three days there, but this was our only trip out because the house was so fun and relaxing that we didn't want to leave. Lots of amazing views of the stars at night since you're right out in the countryside and not hindered by too much light pollution. Hoping to go back sometime soon.

Like Having a Resort to Yourself!!!

We had the most magnificent family holiday at this amazing property! Once you closed the gates it was like being in a little compound all of your own! We were 6 altogether (4 adults and 2 children) and there was plenty of room to be together and to get some space too... The amazing pool area and outside space make this property something very special. Travelling with our 9 and 11 year olds, it can be hard to keep them entertained - but this house had everything and it was the favourite part of their 12 week holiday! There was a big trampoline, soccer goal and balls, basketball ring, ping pong, the coolest old table soccer game I've ever seen, bikes, tortoises, chooks (and your kids can collect the eggs), a HUGE smart TV with netflix and I can hardly forget the wonderful pool. The beauty is in the property itself and we found it hard to drag ourselves away! Very relaxing. Fabienne was lovely to communicate with and was very patient with our lack of French! Thank you Fabienne for sharing your beautiful home :)
