Highland House sits beautifully above the shores of Georgian Bay on 7 private acres of forest and manicured grounds. The estate property’s 500 ft. driveway leads to exquisitely appointed gardens and hardscape that surround the 3500 sq. ft. custom built modern log home.

With five bedrooms, a living room with a gas fireplace, an inviting kitchen and dining area, a media room and spa, Highland House offers couples and families a superior year-round retreat to rejuvenate and explore.

The two-level deck and new 9 person, salt water Arctic Spa hot tub overlook the property’s fire pit and are complimented by a Canadian Western Cedar indoor sauna provide a spa-like atmosphere to unwind and reconnect.

A chef’s inspired outdoor kitchen and a professional gas fueled stone pizza oven along with produce and herbs from the vegetable garden will ensure memorable evenings spent with family and friends around the deck’s harvest table followed by board games and movie nights on the 82 inch TV screen in the lower level’s media room.

Highland House provides easy access to all of southern Georgian Bay’s amenities and attractions. Hiking on the Bruce Trail, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing along with ski and snowmobile trails are at your doorstep and are surrounded by Grey County’s 8 picturesque waterfalls.

Pack a picnic and visit the area’s secluded or more popular beaches or take a drive into Collingwood or up the Bruce Peninsula to Tobermory. With a boat launch 5 minutes away, explore Georgian Bay by water or paddle on local rivers through the countryside. Wineries, cideries, breweries, arts, culture, music and culinary events, festivals and fall fairs can all be found throughout the area’s historic towns and villages. Fine dining and take away restaurants along with local shopping are all nearby.

For a long weekend, a week or monthly rental, Highland House offers a memorable experience that will heighten all of your senses.

Highland House is cleaned to the highest quality standards and the hot tub and sauna are professionally treated between guests. Gardening and home maintenance take place weekly.

Linens have been purchased through William Sonoma and Pottery Barn and furniture and beds are new.

Our group of six had plenty of space and every amenity we could possibly need — the hosts have truly thought of everything. The property itself is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The welcome basket was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel immediately at home. Our host was extremely responsive, kind, and made sure our stay was perfect from start to finish. Weekend Getaway

My sister and our partners found the Highland House and it was the perfect location and retreat for a weekend away. The house is cozy and has everything you need. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub. We were greeted by the property manager and she showed us around the house and was great with our dogs. A very thoughtful welcome basket was waiting for us full of local eats and beverages. This house has everything you need to have the best time away!

Lovely week break with family.

Lovely place. Sauna and hot tub were great. Very responsive host - mase us feel like "first guests". Provided a lovely gift as we were there on our Anniversary. Lovely yard and deck - dogs loved the space to run around. Freat quality grill. Fun selection of lawn games, and the fire pit was great. Could use a dish rack and another.frying pan, otherwise very well equipped. Location was good, lots to do within an hour or so drive. Even on the the heavy rain day it was really nice to just hang out on the verandah and play some games.

Wonderful Property!

Our family recently returned from a 5 night stay at Highland House. The property is so private and peaceful and very well cared for. One of my favourite spots was the comfy front porch chair with a tea that looked out onto the beautiful and quiet grounds. The house was a perfect size for our extended family of eight. A lovely, cozy log cabin feel. We loved all the amenities the owner has provided - the great pizza oven, outdoor kitchen, sauna, hot tub, fire pit and more! Everything you need is there
.even the many boardgames for a rainy afternoon. David is a very responsive host and Annette was so helpful when we arrived. Great location and wonderful property to visit! Looking forward to visiting again! Thanks for sharing your Highland House with us!

Gentlemens Golf Weekend

After many year's of organizing my group's annual golf weekend, this place is far and away the best place that we have ever stayed at. The weather wasn't great but thank God we had this beautiful house to call home for the weekend. This place is both comfort and luxury all in one! No need to bring anything other than food. Hot tub,sauna,outside pizza oven and huge BBQ. Internet, Large main floor TV and a even bigger downstairs TV make this place outstanding. Large bedrooms and nice bedding make this place top notch! Amazing Girls Getaway Weekend!

Our hosts were prompt and patiently responsive to all our questions. It was obvious that they took great care and pride in Highland House. On arrival the property manager, Annette, welcomed us with a tour of the house and necessary information. We found this really helpful. Everything about the property was immaculate, in good working order and the kitchen (indoor and out) was well equipped. All the beds were very comfortable! Our hosts had thought of many extra touches that were very appreciated; linens were high quality, so many thick towels supplied and cosy throws to wrap in on the cool mornings enjoying our coffee on the front veranda. Even a thoughtful welcome basket was waiting for us on the kitchen counter! We will definitely be back!

Another great experience!

This was our 3rd annual girls weekend experience at the beautiful Highland House and it was as wonderful as ever! Any questions you might have leading up to or during your stay are promptly answered by hosts David and Pauline and the Property Manager Annette is there to greet you when you arrive. Friendly and welcoming, this team really goes above and beyond to ensure your getaway is perfect in every way. The property itself is stunning with multiple outdoor areas (we LOVE the large covered front porch), fire pit, beautiful new hot tub and an outdoor cooking station with pizza oven! Inside there is plenty of room to roam with a nicely stocked kitchen, spacious family room, 5 comfortable bedrooms plus a bonus room on the lower level. Thank you David, Pauline and Annette. This was our 5th year at the Luxury Log Home, near Owen Sound, and it is for a reason.It is an amazing place for friends and/or family to spend a few days at and relax. It is well well equipped with modern appliances, an amazing outdoor kitchen, Pizza Oven and amenities. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The rest of the house is furnished with high quality furniture and fixtures. The property itself is incredibly maintained, surrounded by beautiful wilderness.Our host David has been amazing to work with over the years. He genuinely wants to ensure our stays are worry free, relaxing and most enjoyable. Any questions we had were immediately responded to, and any issues we may have had were immediately addressed with results that met if not exceeded our expectations.If you are looking for a place to relax and feel at home, we highly recommend a stay at this wonderful oasis.We will be back again in 2026!

Relax and unwind

The cottage is very cozy and yet very spacious. The bedrooms are large and have very comfortable beds and bedding. The patio has a large bbq, pizza oven and hot tub. The sauna in the basement heats up in 20 minutes and is easy to operate. Walking trails are plentiful and nearby. If you are looking to relax, rent this place.

Amazing girls getaway

We just stayed for a 3 night weekend getaway to celebrate our friends 50th birthday. It was an amazing location. The home and grounds were so beautiful. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing time; catching up with and celebrating our friendship! From the hot tub, to the sauna, pizza in the outdoor pizza oven, games and reading by the fire, we could not have asked for a better place. Annette met us onsite, was very welcoming and gave a tour of the property. The owner David, was easy to communicate with and very quick to respond. Home was very clean and lots of towels were provided. Beds were comfy! We can not wait to return again and making it a yearly destination.

Second Stay at Highland House

Our group of 7 were so happy to to be back at Highland House for another stay! Our host, David was there to welcome us and answer any questions. He gave us some tips on the pizza oven which resulted in amazing, delicious pizza our first night. The log home is beautifully decorated and cozy, all beds are very comfortable and the property, inside and out, was clean and well maintained. Amazing Place and Host

The Highland House is an amazing home and property. It has all that you need and more, with plenty of room. The extra amenities such as the Hot Tub, Outdoor Kitchen and Pizza Oven puts this accommodation over the top. The house and property is well maintained. You can tell the owner (David) is very proud of his property. David is amazing...very responsive, friendly and conversive. Any issues we may have had were addressed immediately with follow-up to ensure we were happy. Amazing Getaway at Highland House

We spent a week with our family at Highland House. The home exceeded our expectations. The photos accurately depict the home. The house is situated in a secluded setting with beautiful gardens and a spacious lawn ideal for outdoor activities. The deck area includes an outdoor kitchen (with pizza oven), a large outdoor dining table, a sitting area, and a spacious hot tub. We appreciated making arrangements with the homeowner, who was quick to respond to any inquiries. I highly recommend this property!
