Absolute gorgeous setting!! Cabin had everything we could want or need!! Hosts provided a wonderful guide and reached out to check on us during our stay!! Only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!

This property is magical. We saw an eagle, shooting stars, and so many cormorants. The lake soothed us to sleep every night. We had a group of 3 adults and 5 kids and everyone had space. The kitchen table is perfect for game nights. It’s hard to describe how integrated the property feels with the surroundings. It was exquisite.

Beautiful home on Lake Michigan

We had a wonderful stay at Porte Haven. Gorgeous view from the Master Bedroom. We especially enjoyed the steam sauna and the gourmet kitchen. We hope to be back next year. Jeremy and Caitlyn are great hosts and respond quickly. Choose this home, you won’t be disappointed!!

Perfect for multiple families

This property was perfect for two families with teenagers! There was something for everyone. We loved the uniqueness of the bathrooms and the cool game room that the kids hung out in. Very spacious! The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make our trip great. We hope to return back to this property in the future.

Great Place

Our family had a great stay at Porte Haven. The view really can't be beat. The house is very unique, especially each of the bathrooms. It had a high end feel throughout. We loved using the pool table, dart board, and gameboard area. The layout of the house was also really cool with lots of interesting and unique spaces thoughout. The hosts were great at communicating and responding to any questions right away. We will definitely be taking a look at more of this hosts properties for future trips.

Bucket List Vacation

Visiting Door County was a bucket list item for my visiting family and they were not disappointed 😊. Porte Haven was a beautiful property with a fantastic view. I have a son that has mobility issues and the main floor of the house was accessible to him. I really appreciated being able to bring him and have him enjoy family time 😊. He loves boats and watching the Washington Island Ferry was entertaining to him. It was close to a beautiful state park, Ellison Bay and obviously the ferry! If we had an issue Jeremy and Caitlin were a text away. We would, and hopefully will stay with them again someday.

What a beautiful place! We loved our quiet and peaceful stay here over the Thanksgiving holiday. This place is unique, spacious, clean, warm and cozy, has amazing views, and so much more. I especially loved the fact that the furniture was comfortable and high quality - none of the cheap stuff you find in so many bnbs these days. The hosts were super welcoming and communicative, and made sure we had all that we needed for our little getaway. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!

Quintessential Cabin Stay

We had a wonderful experience at Porte Haven, this was the perfect retreat for our two families to spend time together. The view at the cabin is incredible and all of the amenities you need to enjoy your stay are there. Will definitely plan to return down the road.

The views at Porte Haven really are hard to beat! The kitchen and patio view was where we loved spending most of our time. Hosts were very kind and had great communication with us during our stay.

You won’t find better views of the lake anywhere - truly spectacular. The home sits as close to the lake as possible and the windows are large and abundant. Perfect lake and nature viewing for any season.

Traveled much of the world but only want to return here. Constant spectacle of sunrises, the waters of "Death's Door", the Washington Island ferry, eagles, ducks, otters, and deep, incomparable peace.

Wonderful

The view was awesome, the pictures online doesn’t quite the show magnitude of how lovely and unique the environment is. You can see lighthouses in the distance, birds that you don’t see often. Just the amount of wild life that we’ve came across around the area as well was wonderful. Porte Haven itself was beautiful inside, very unique and everything seemed intentional. Adequate amount of beddings, towels and amenities accessible to us. Very professional yet we still felt the care of which of family owned business could only offer! Thank you again, we’ll be back soon!
