Om boendet

The Serenity sleeps four comfortably with its two bedrooms and full bathroom. The unit has one window A.C. This unit also includes a gas grill with one free tank of gas; the renter is responsible for refilling during the week if needed. A starter set of paper towels and toilet paper is provided. Although the kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped the renter is encouraged to bring their favorite beach towel or lawn chair to use at the lake! A washer & dryer is also included with this rental.. Dogs are welcomed but must be leashed when other people are present. DSL WiFi is suitable for emailing but not broadband for games!

Each unit has its own outside deck with lake view.

All offer 400' of water front offering a large beach, docks, canoe, kayaks, gazebo, and fire pit.

This is a family owned compound since the 1950's. You may have an opportunity to meet many family members at the common area beach as we also love to use the water facilities.

Great location, great place.

The property was very clean and well-appointed with everything you might need. Hosts were very welcoming. Location on Messalonskee Lake was perfect for mixing lake activities like fishing and swimming with lawn activities. Between grilling, morning coffee, and just relaxing, the covered porch got a workout. Pet friendly was a real perk.

Nice long weekend on Messalonskee near NEMC

Ideal location (10min drive) for our long weekend stay near the New England Music Camp. Complete amenities for relaxing by the lake and preparing simple meals. Pet friendly policies made this the ideal choice for everyone in our friends and family. Some may find accessing the loft through the garage and laundry a bit industrial, but the loft itself is a clean, bright, and a comfortable space.

Serenity by the lake

The loft is adorable inside and we did enjoy our stay by the lake, it was very relaxing although we did not spend as much time there as we hoped. It was very close to family which we loved. Not having internet was a problem because we had some work and school assignments to complete. We found the owners to be very friendly and responsive. We would stay there again! Thank you Doug and Jennifer!!

Beautiful lake

This property is great for families. The property is shared with 3 other camps. Little privacy but other renters were friendly. Steep hills to walk up from the beach area. Steep stairs to walk up to the loft. Other renters are able to use the downstairs washer and dryer so lots of early morning wake up from other campers noise. The owners are extremely nice and accomodating. Friendly campers offered us fried dough on our first night. Another camper offered us a beautiful sunset cruise on the pontoon boat. The lake water and beach area are very clean and beautiful! We enjoyed our stay very much! Julie

Summer Haven Properties was started in 2020 by Doug and Jenn Manter along with Dawn (Doug's Sister) and Alan Beaulieu .
The property was originally Mom and Dad Manters’ purchased circa 1955 as a wooded lot with 400 plus feet of waterfront.
Upon their passing, Doug and Dawn were blessed with ability to keep the property in the family.
25 plus years of repeat customer rentals allows for us to keep this piece of Heaven on earth and share with others.

Varför värden valde detta boende

This property is on the south western side of Snow Pond at the largest part and very quiet end of the lake.
This is also shallower part of lake allowing for warmer summer waters. The large sandy beach is great for kids.
The shallow waters by the dock make for great kids playing and safety. The floating dock allows older kids (all ages) plenty of playtime for diving and cannon balls.
The Belgrade stream is directly across the lake which offers exceptionally renown fishing in the state of Maine. Records have been set here!

Unique to this property is a sandy beach, one of very few on the lake. Several islands make for exploration and paint ball wars or even an overnight sleeping bag time.
Located less than 10 miles from interstate 95 allows for easy access to other parts of Maine.
Bar Harbor, Booth Bay Harbor, Sugar Loaf Mountain, the Forks, Bangor and Portland Malls, Fort Knox and many water falls all within one hour and half drive.
