Place was excellent!

My family and I stayed at the condo for 6 days 5 nights. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We booked last minute due to another VRBo cancellation, with the short time line that we had, the host/owner made sure we had all of the information that we needed for check in and for the area, he responded quickly to any questions and was very friendly. The condo is super cute and comfortable! Had everything we needed. Washer/dryer, coffee, plenty of beach towels etc. Amazing views of the marina and the ocean. Close to restaurants and very convenient being able to call the front desk for cab rides. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous location. Walk to grocery, restaurants in Marina. Fabulous workout facility. Great pools and walkable beach.

What a view

I had read previous reviews of the property and had a few minor concerns regarding the process, however, those were immediately erased when we arrived. Our names were at the gate, Fernando and his son were there to greet us and explain the nuances of the unit and resort and Fernando was able to very quicky look after the few additional requests we had. Fernando was very quick to reply to all of our inquiries during our stay. My correspondence with the owner was good as well. The views from the unit were spectacular, particularly at sunset. The unit has everything you need for a trouble free stay. We were fortunate to be there during a lull in the season which meant we essentailly had our choice of which chairs to occupy at the pool every day. We have stayed in the Marina at least a dozen times before though never at this property. When we go back we will definitely consider staying here again.

Communication and maintenance problems

Communication with owner representative, Michael Baiocchi, was very difficult. We didn’t know until the very last minute that the our reservation was secured. Part of this problem was CIBC Visa which considered the payment transaction as fraudulent! Communication with Fernando, the Puerto Vallarta representative was better. He responded to maintenance issues within a few days. Maintenance problems included a plugged kitchen sink drain, a garbarator that spewed sewage out of the kitchen floor drain, a dishwasher that leaked water and burnt out light bulbs in the kitchen. It took 3 days and 2 different lumbers to unplug the drain. It wasn’t until the 2nd last day of our 2-week stay that a technician came to try and fix the dishwasher which continued to leak water.!

Incredible Resort!

Staying at Velas Vallarta was an incredibly positive experience for our family of 5! The service was impeccable and the resort was clean and offered many amenities. We loved the food and will encourage others to stay!

Awful experience

We got to the gate and they wouldn’t let us in because we weren’t on the list. It took 20 minutes of trying to tell the guard that we were supposed to contact Francisco upon arrival and they told us he wasn’t there. In the meantime I emailed Michael who set up and confirmed the booking only to be told that they won’t accept 3 day bookings. This was AFTER charging us and sending multiple confirmations. It was spring break week and we had 3 teen girls and no where to go in a different country. VRBO was unhelpful in finding a new place. I can’t say enough about how terrible this experience was having kids with us.

Good stay

We really like the Bayview Grand. This place is great for 4 adults and 2 teens. There were a few small items which we will be communicating to the owner which the major item being that it needed a deep cleaning and decluttering.

Wonderful Penthouse in Bay View Grand

My stepson arrived a few hours earlier than check in but was allowed to go to the condo anyway. When my wife and I arrived we were pleasantly surprised with how accurately the description on VRBO was of the property. Pictures, although, don’t do justice to the views from the balcony. Overall just a wonderful place to stay.

The gate security did not have my name although I rented the condo. We had a hard time getting in. The security didn't know the manager although we were told to ask for him. After we finally did get in, it was hard to figure out the elevators because ph is the designation of the floor and ph is not readily visible. By luck we figured it out.

Great stay at the Bay View Grand in Puerto Vallarta.

This property is great. There is plenty of room in the condo and plenty of great views from the 12th floor balcony. The pool area is perfect for relaxing in the sun. The only draw back is the close proximity to the airport where there can be some early morning flight noise. In spite of that, this is still a great property that I highly recommend!

Beautiful location

After terrible checkin process, the area and condo were beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful. Very close to downtown. Plenty of room in the pools and good sandy beaches. Bay View Grand is a great place to vacation

12th floor penthouse—amazing views!

Amazing condo on 12th floor! Spacious, included everything we needed.Tons of towels, perfect for long days at the pool. Super close to the airport and away from the crowds.
