Our "RIVERSIDE" Log Cabin offers the ideal setting for a Smoky Mountain family vacation, a romantic honeymoon, or a peaceful mountain retreat. You'll enjoy privacy, comfort, and the charm of a beautifully crafted log home—all just steps from the soothing waters of the Little River in Townsend, Tennessee.

Perched right on the riverbank in the heart of Townsend—known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies”—our cabin invites you to slow down and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Just two miles from your front door is the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the beloved Cades Cove loop, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a quiet, laid-back atmosphere.

This cabin is proudly family-owned and operated as part of Cabins on Little River, LLC. As lifelong residents of Townsend, we take great pride in providing friendly, personal service to make sure every detail of your stay is just right.

Cabin was great. Bed was very comfortable. We were close to town for groceries and eating out. Also close to the park where we spent most of our time. Hot tub was sparkling clean and used every night.

The location was handy. Mr Carnes responded to our questions in a timely manner. Our only concern was the hot tub smelled like river water. We did not use it.

Our stay at this beautiful riverside cabin was an absolute dream. Waking up to the serene sounds of the water and enjoying our morning coffee on the patio was pure bliss. The evenings were just as perfect, spent relaxing and listening to the peaceful river flow by. The cabin itself was incredibly comfortable and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. A huge thank you to our host for their kindness and for being so prompt with all of our questions. We can't recommend this place enough!

Super clean, convenient and located on the River. Easy access to tube and play in the water, cabin has a nice front porch to view the River activities. Easy access to Wears Valley Rd and the Cades Cove park entrance.We rented the 2 bedroom, but a larger group could rent both cabins and have a great family get-away!

Lovely cabin

Lovely cabin and lovely view of the river. Kitchen very well equipped. Great porch for coffee, reading, relaxing and cocktails. I really appreciated the owner checking in via text after our arrival to see if everything was good at the cabin. We will definitely return.

This cabin was the perfect size for us and a great location to all the fun activities! One suggestion to the host is maybe having some blankets handy. Already booked another stay for the summer.

Quiet Getaway

The cabin is cozy with a smart floor plan. The kitchen was good sized and very functional compared to a lot of cabins in the area. The concrete area by the creek was the primary reason we chose to stay here and the small rapids downstream gave just enough white noise to make evenings on the river perfect.

Beautiful, clean, well appointed cabin

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the Riverside Cabin. Richard answered all of our questions quickly and it was great communicating with a person and not someone completely unconnected with the house! It had everything we needed, was extremely clean and comfortable. Also close to anything you want to do in Townsend or a short beautiful drive to Pigeon Forge or the GSMNP. Thank you, Richard!

Little River tranquility

This is a perfect cozy cabin for 2 couples. It was nice and clean. We appreciated the comfortable king-size bed in both bedrooms. The deck looking out to the river was great, and the hottub was clean. It took 40 to 45 to drive to Gatlinburg. It was definitly worth the drive to be out of hubbub at such a peaceful cabin by the river. I never know what is provided when I rent a VRBO. There were plenty of pots and pans and coffee makers, etc. Error on the side of caution and bring your own kitchen aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. There is a grocery close by for anything you forget.

Great Cabin!

This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It's definitely on the quiet side of the Smokeys but within a short distance of the excitement of Pigeon Forge. The cabin was very clean and Mr. Carnes was great at responding back to answer any questions. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect spot in Townsend!

Perfect location, close to everything in Townsend yet feels secluded and peaceful. Riverside access is wonderful, was my wife's favorite daily activity! About a million fireflies at night, just a great stay. Cabin is clean and comfortable, well-appointed. We loved it!

Off the beaten path

Our stay at the Riverside cabin was a much needed getaway. The cabin was clean and had a great view of the river, allowing me to try a little fly fishing. With it being on the other side of the river from Townsend, there was less traffic noise and people to deal with and still allowed quick access to town. Just outside of Cades Cove we were able to enjoy the wildlife and hiking everyday. Thanks for a wonderful stay !!

Loved this cabin and the area!

Beautiful clean cabin right on the Little River. Very quiet and serene! Cant wait for our next visit. Lots of things to do in the area, many restaurants, and nearby grocery store. Drove up to Brushy State penitentiary for a visit- very cool!
