Let this convenient Folly Beach home located directly across from the beach with amazing river views be your next home away from home! This amazing, two-story, elevated home is situated on a tidal creek with great views of the marsh, ocean, and Morris Island Lighthouse. Enjoy outdoor space from multiple decks and porches on the front and rear of the home and take in sunrises with your coffee or sunsets with a cold libation all while enjoying the sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean.

Downstairs has a great open floor plan with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining and living room, and three bedrooms. The house has beautiful front porch views of the ocean and the back porch has a relaxing view of the marsh. The main bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom. There are two queen bedrooms and a full bath on the other side of the first floor. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, a coffee maker, blender, and so much more if you like to cook and eat in. If you prefer to eat out, Folly Beach has a great variety of restaurants about two miles away and just 15 miles away, Downtown Charleston is world-renowned for eclectic dining!

Upstairs has two bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms. Each room upstairs has balconies with seating to view either the ocean or the marsh. There is fast WiFi internet throughout the house and two Smart televisions on the main floor and one with cable upstairs. This home has been remodeled; all new furniture, updated appliances, new paint, remodeled bathrooms, and new beds and bedding. It has some of the most fantastic views on Folly and has beach access right across the street!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location

Great spot, and seemed really clean. Comfortable bedding, and great views from each of the rooms. Charge your golf cart, it’s a long run back and forth to town.

Beautiful location!

We had such a great time staying here on our girls trip. Lots of bathrooms and plenty of room for our group if 9. It was very clean. Both the front and back views are amazing!! Would highly recommend this to anyone going to folly! Our only complaint is there were no beach towels. We assumed with a beach house would come beach towels.

Loved this property

This property was perfect we were in town for a wedding. And the location of the home was a short drive back to downtown Charleston.. but the location on the island itself i loved. And i loved that the beach was a short walk across the street. Beautiful veiws of the marsh and ocean

Beautiful

Plenty of room and beautiful views!!! We were there for my sons Ring & parents weekend. I immediately booked it for his graduation weekend. The kitchen is stocked, grill works. We cooked every day. Big table to eat at and picnic table outside…it was perfect!!

Great Marsh view

We loved the proximity to the beach (just across the street) and the gorgeous marsh views. The beds were very comfortable. The layout was fine. It does need some work on the exterior- blue tarp on corner of roof, boards on porches were very worn, all ceilings downstairs with watermarks from upstairs leaks, rain blows in under rear upstairs bedroom doors. We never saw insects like others mentioned. We would rent it again for the views and proximity to the beach but it’s going to need some work at some point.

Needs Updating

This house is close to the beach and the view of the marsh is wonderful. However, the blue tarp mentioned in May is still flapping in the wind. The master bath has mold on the shower curtain. The gate is still hanging from the dock. One of the bathroom doors upstairs is falling off the other one does not close completely. The yard is a mess and has trash all around. The ceiling fan upstairs is so noisy (probably why there is an extra fan in closet). The outside deck chairs are covered in mold. Almost every ceiling has water marks on it. Every dining room chair has stains on them. However, the kitchen is updated and stocked well. I contacted Vacasa within minutes of checking in about the door issue in the bathroom. I reached out to Vacasa for over two weeks to discuss these issues and every time was told someone would get back to me. I am OK with a place being "beachy", but not being cleaned and maintained is not acceptable

Beautiful home, Great location, but needs repairs

The home has a great location and half of it is updated. Two of the bathrooms are very old and so is all the furniture in all the bedrooms. The upstairs porches are dangerous and sagging and wood is soft. Upstairs and downstairs back porches leak water into the back of the house. Floors are wet inside when it rains. The upstairs airconditioning is non functional. We called for 5 days. Someone came out on day 3 but didn't fix it. We contacted Vacasa again and they didn't send anyone out to fix it. The upstairs was over 80 degrees at night. We had seniors staying with us and we were all so hot and couldn't sleep. If it weren't for these issues we would be back again.

Wonderful Beach House

Marsh Mellow is a great beach property. It's located directly across the street from beach access. It had the perfect amount of beds and seating for our large family gathering. The backyard had a nice fire pit and was great for bird watching. Groceries and restaurants were just a few minutes away. Would definitely book again.

Perfect for us marsh mellow

The house is perfect, the location across from the beach access couldn’t be better, the marsh is always amazing and ever changing! And having the dock was perfect for our grandson to crab and fish a few steps from the house - we could not have had a better week - house or location!!!

Beautiful location

Location and views were great. I felt though that the house was more run down than I had expected. Parts felt like an old run-down cottage with drawers and cabinets not working. Also, the floors were slanted as the house had definitely settled. Plus, the outdoor deck could use help as nails are popping and some boards are loose. The place seems structurely sound and the views are great. Just not sure on the price and description.

Amazing Beach House!

Great location

Location location location for beach access - easy walk across the street! Nice big dining table with updated appliances in the kitchen. Deck could use some TLC. Would be nice to have beach chairs for guests. Overall, perfect house for our group’s needs!

Great vacation house on Folly!

The house layout is terrific. A bathroom for every bedroom except one shared, this house was perfect for our family. Beautiful view of the marsh on the back side, some view of ocean on the front side. Decks everywhere. Easy walk over to the beach. Long driveway gave some privacy and quiet from any street noise. It is way down Near the lighthouse, so not a lot of traffic and we practically had a section of the beach to ourselves every day. A surf school was held there several mornings. Which. Some of us participated and it was fun to watch. The house had most everything we needed. Beds comfortable. There is some age on it, but it has been taken care of and some obvious renovations are a good start. I would definitely recommend the house and I would stay here again.

Great location, nice property.

Stayed here with 3 couples and 3 kids (1, 5, and 9). And 2 dogs. Good open living space that was comfortable. Kitchen and Bedrooms were well appointed and property was clean. Kitchen was roomy and plenty of space for us to cook for our group. Internet was adequate. Backyard was fenced so we could easily let the dogs out. We tried fishing a few times out back in the marsh but no bites. Super close walk to the beach (literally across the street) made it really easy to bring all our beach gear out every day and bounce back and forth to the property for naps, bathroom, cooler refresh, etc. Beach was relatively uncrowded but there was a company giving surf lessons multiple days of our stay right on swath of beach there which made it a little busy for the boogie boarders and wave jumpers in our group. Low tide recess a vast and spacious swath of beach but high tide there is almost no beach that is not touched by the waves. Useful to know is there are no bathtubs for those traveling with children. Negatives were not enough seating at the dining table for our group size and the master downstairs had a high pitched noise that frequently kicked on and off throughout the night. The property has some upkeep opportunities as well - some signs of water damage inside on the ceiling and in bathrooms, rusty looking nails on the porch and steps (we wore shoes outside so as to avoid issues).

Location location location

Location to the ocean, location to the beach access, location out of the crowds, location to the beautiful living marsh. First time in Folly and it won’t be our last. House met the needs of our group of 10! Kitchen pretty stocked with gear/supplies. The water Filter pitcher in fridge was lovely to use! The ice maker in fridge had a hard time keeping up with our ice demand so we picked up a couple bags and problem solved. Thanks for the great stay.

The PERFECT home in the PERFECT location!

We had a girls weekend with six 40-something adults, and this home could not have been more perfect! It's directly across the street from the beach, has gorgeous marsh views and tons of open space in the home. What more could you ask for!? Vacasa provided A+ customer service and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and felt at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location

Such a perfect location and the house was perfect! Clean and plenty of space for all 10 of us. My only issue was the house was not ready on time. Check in is at 4pm. The cleaning crew was still there until 4:30pm. The cleaning lady apologized and explained to me the last guy who stayed there did not leave at his 10am check out like he was supposed to instead he told her to work around him cause he was working. Which was an inconvenience considering we drove 10 hours and were exhausted and ready to settle in.
