Spacious Hillside Home Overlooking Private Woods
Guesthouse available for added fee and sleeps 2 with an extra bathroom. Separate access code needed. Please denote in reservation if you'd like to add!
We created this space with the hope of sharing it as a place of retreat and refocus. The house sits on 6 acres of private woodland for you to enjoy. Whether walking through the trees, sitting by campfire at the top of the sandstone overlook, or watching the birds and deer, we hope youâll reconnect with nature and enjoy your time!
The space
Kitchen:
Fully stocked with cooking essentials (note: there is no microwave)
Working fireplace
Large dining table that seats 8
Bedrooms:
Large main bedroom with King bed and private bathroom
Second bedroom off the kitchen with working fireplace, Queen bed, and
beautiful view overlooking the forest
Large third bedroom with two twin beds
Detached guesthouse with Double bed, full bathroom, coffee and tea set up, and beautiful views of the stars. Guest house available for extra fee for parties over 6, guest house sleeps 2. If you have a party of 6 or less but would like access to the space please make a note of that in your reservation request and we will adjust pricing.

Oregon, Illinois lies on the Rock River, a tributary of the Mississippi and was native to Potawatomi and Winnebago tribes. The town has ties to early American Feminist writer Margaret Fuller and was home to Lorado Taftâs Eagleâs Nest Art Colony.
This is an vintage home sitting in the middle of the woods and shares space with nature. While we strive to keep the space free of friendly insects, there is a chance you may encounter them indoors.

Kayak, Canoe, or Tube the Rock River (1.5 miles away // Seasonal)
Visit the Blackhawk Statue and Lowden State Park (3.5 miles away)
Hike Castle Rock State Park (5.5 miles away)
