Waterfront Beach House

Welcome to our Shore Rd beach house! This single family home was recently renovated in 2021 - brand new stainless steel appliances, washer & dryer, laminate hardwood flooring, tile bathroom with walk in glass shower & more.

There are 2 spacious bedrooms upstairs both with king size beds. On the main level there is an additional bedroom which has a twin day bed with trundle which makes our home comfortable for up to 6 people. We also offer a pack and play for those traveling with little ones! The upstairs loft area has a desk for those working from the beach!

Outside you will find our front deck with fire pit over looks private sandy beach and Long Island Sound.

Great spot on the beach in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Very short drive to groceries and other food options. I stayed on this beach growing up, and it is much the same as it was back then. Kids had a great time!

Cute house, excellent location! Comfortable beds and plenty of ac units and fans to keep rooms cool for summer sleeping. Awning over patio area made such a nice place to enjoy the beach in shaded comfort. Thanks for a great weekend!

Great Beachfront Cottage

The cottage is a perfect cozy stay on the water - we stayed in the winter and still were able to enjoy the sand and the sunrises right outside the window. House is well-appointed and well-located within area with access to restaurants and shops in Clinton, Madison, Westbrook, Old Saybrook, etc.

Thanksgiving stay

Very cute house. Probably bright and cheerful during summer months but rather dark during our stay. A lamp in one bedroom was broken, while a reading light in smaller bedroom would have been nice.

Can't Wait To Go Back!

My husband I stayed for a long weekend and didn't want to leave! The house is perfect for a couple or small group to relax, well set up for children, and the location can't be beat! We had some mixed weather but even on the rainy days there is a beautiful view of the sound and plenty of amenities to relax inside while listening to the waves. At 6 1/2 months pregnant I loved that everything was so clean and the beach was relatively private. So we also felt very safe, which was extremely important to us at this point. We will definitively be back with our little one!

Great weekend

We only had a small window of time to vacation and we loved this little property. Unfortunely the weather didn’t cooperate and it was cloudy and cold the whole weekend. But that didn’t stop our fun. It was so nice to be able to sit on the patio by the chimanea and let the kids play by the sand/water. The houses are all right next to each other and it is a shared beach but beginning of June seemed very quiet so we had the whole place to ourselves. The only issue I could see with some people is the spiral staircase to get up stairs, my mom had a small issue with it. But other than that it was a wonderful house and we would def come back!

Overall we had a great time based on the location, but the house left a bit to be desired. The spiral staircase was not pictured in the listing and is narrow and difficult to navigate especially with luggage, a very large person or elderly with physical issues would not be able to do them. The lower mattress of the trundle bed cannot open all the way due to the doorway being in the way. No waste baskets in the bed rooms. I called the owner's number provided with a minor concern (weather related) and left a message asking them to call back but they did not. The cover for the chimera is rotted and impossible to handle without tearing it more. So had a good time but expected the amenities to be better, you get what you pay for and this was cheaper than many others.

Great for Our Family

Everything is as advertised. Very very clean house that's actually on the water. It was easy to supervise our kids on the beach so we could relax. I thought it was going to be rockier on the beach and it was really a good mix of sand and pebbles. Bring water shoes and you have a great, safe area to swim. Any beach neighbors that we had shared the beach wonderfly. You could spend each day at the beach in the backyard but we took a trip to nearby Hammonasset Beach State Park that had a great swim and nature area for only 15 to park. Plenty of space and bathrooms there too and a couple places to get food. The house allowed for the 5 of us to spread out nicely, all the kitchen stuff you need, and a nice Weber grill. Everything was clean and the shower made it easy to rinse off the sand whenever we needed to.

Beautiful home in great location. Worked perfectly for our family. House was in amazing shape, outdoor patio was awesome! As prior reviews have said, make sure you have water shoes, the water for the first 5-10 ft is very rocky. But overall everything was amazing

This was a perfect location for our young family of 5. Very kid friendly, clean and beautiful home. We were in town for a funeral and local motels/hotels just didn’t have the options we needed. Our kids loved the house and our whole family hopes to return for another visit.

Beach Getaway

Our stay at Kates property was wonderful. The house is exactly as described in the positing and the beach is stunning. The house is very well thought out with everything we needed. Comfortable rooms, large beds, well stocked kitchen, updated bathroom, great fire pit (solo stove), and plenty of beach essentials like chairs and toys. Kate is very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again for sure!

If you’re looking for a little beach spot along the sound, this is the place to go.

Perfect little beach house. Very comfortable (for 4), very kid friendly! This was our first trip to the Sound and we were not disappointed. The fishing was fantastic, we could watch the cormorants & osprey all day. Easy to take a kayak or paddleboard out for some fun. The beach was a bit rocky at water’s edge, so you will want to pack some water shoes. The Wednesday night sailboat races were beautiful- they start around 6p. We had delightful happy hour and dinner on the beach. The neighborhood is very laid-back & quiet. Easy drive if you want to explore Mystic or New Haven for the day. The house was clean and very comfortable, and Kate was very responsive to our questions leading up to the stay.

Excellent stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything provided was in good condition, clean, and ready to use. Although we typically bring our own supplies and bedding, the ones provided were in great condition. The house was so cozy and perfect for a family of 5. The property manager was very attentive and nice and responded to messages quickly. The area was quiet and safe. The few days we stayed were beautiful and we made the most out of the deck and beach area.There are absolutely no complaints about this property and host. We could have not asked for anything better!

Perfect

I went with my 80 year old mother, 3 year old toddler, 12 year old stepdaughter and husband and this place was perfect! Of course my stepdaughter and son took the ac room (lol) but the other rooms were great and roomy! You found not beat the view. I love the porch looking right over the sand so you dont have to be on the sand to enjoy it. My senior mother could sit o it and watch us without worrying about loosing her balance in the sand. My kids absolutely loved everything about it!! My husband and I thought it was perfect as well. You don’t have to “fight for a spot on the beach” like some other review said. Everyone has their own set spot. Ours was nice and big and perfect. The parking worked wonderfully and it was so easy getting in and out of the house. It was newly remodeled so the kitchen, floors, bathroom etc. were all gorgeous!! Thank you for letting us stay here and we can’t wait to come back in the future!!
