The Blue Heron… a newly remodeled charming studio apartment in the historic fishing village of Cortez. Minutes to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and adventure! Many amenities within walking distance. Also many modes of free public transportation. Apartment is completely self-contained with a private entrance, outside lounge area, and parking at the door. Walk to the beach , shopping, convenient store. Bike and golf cart rentals along with bait shops and jet ski , kayaking, boat rentals and fishing charters.

lovely little launching spot

This was truly the perfect spot for exploring Cortez and Anna Maria Island. Beautiful beaches and lots of options for dining within walking distance. The accommodations were quiet, cozy, and clean. I can’t wait to return for another visit.

This little place is amazing. It’s located in a dead end street, close to Cortez Bridge, so it’s close to everything. Amazingly clean, tidy, it even smelled new. Has very good A/C. Many amenities included, more and better than your regular hotel room. Listing is very accurate and communication with the seller is great. Definitely on my return list and will recommend it to friends.

This is the place to stay for a couple..very clean, quick drive to the beach, they have everything you need for a day at the beach..we absolutely loved it and it will definitely be the place we come back to!

Clean, great decor and perfectly sized for two. We enjoyed our stay at Hazel’s and the surrounding area was fun to explore. Will be back for sure!

Great location and very clean.

This spot is in Cortez which is just over the bridge from Bradenton beach. Very nice neighborhood with good casual restaurants. Enjoyed my stay.

Wonderful Stay

It was an enjoyable stay! The restaurants/beaches/shopping were all within a few minutes from our room! The room was cozy/quiet/had everything we needed! It was very clean & we truly enjoyed our stay & won’t hesitate to book & stay here again if we plan on another trip to the area ❤️🙋‍♀️🌺🌴

Perfect Short Stay

We wanted a couple nights in Crotez prior to a longer stay on the island. We wanted to be able to walk to restaurants in Cortez and have the ability to go over to Bridge Street and the beach. This was perfect! We have already talked about coming back for a longer stay. The beverages and popcorn was a fun little treat. The unit had everything you would need for a stay and was so clean and quiet. We enjoyed sitting outside and having coffee in the morning. Perfect quiet little place for a couple. We will be back!

Perfect for quick getaway

Was a last minute getaway but was Hazel’s perfect for us. Great place at a great rate. Obviously not beachfront but did not come with beachfront prices either! Was just what we needed for the weekend. Would definitely stay there again.

Great little getaway stop

Amazing location, small and quaint. Close to the beach, the bed is super comfy. I would definitely stay here again. A/C a little noisy but I’m always sensitive to sounds but my boyfriend agreed it was a little loud but not anything bad for an average guest I’m sure.

Cute and Cozy!!

This is our third year staying here. The room is nicely furnished, very clean, quiet, and private. Also, as a bonus the owner provides complimentary coffee, water, sodas, half and half, beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. Great restaurants are close by and the beach is across the bridge. I enjoy having my coffee in the cozy outdoor seating area.

Small but cozy!

We had a great stay while we were in Anna Maria Island. The location was perfect, the place was spotless and Hazel was quick to respond with any question we asked. She definitely went above and beyond providing amenities that were very appreciated. Not only did she have coffee for us to enjoy but she left us a new half and half ti use. Thank you Hazel!

Little beach haven!

Just over the Cortez bridge are the most beautiful white sand beaches anywhere!! 10 minutes from Anna Maria Island. Hint: there’s plenty of street parking off the main drag. Park between the green signs. Will definitely stay here from now on whenever we head for the beach!!

Cute Cortez Getwaway

We loved this rental. Very clean. Top notch shower, bed and TV. Cute private sitting area outside. Restaurants and bar within walking distance. Very quiet. We look forward to returning next year.

Your host Hazel is a third generation Cortezian, who along with her husband Steve, raised two sons in this home. Her family is one of the families who founded the fishing village of Cortez in the late 1800s.
