Perfect place for a beach getaway

Alex’s home is the perfect place to stay on a beach getaway. The Victorian home is a great option for a group stay with friends. The location is great and we could get to the beach, grocery store, and coffee, all in less than five minutes.

Weekend getaway in Ocean Grive

This charming property in Ocean Grove was clean and accommodating for our family of five. The location is ideal for enjoying the boardwalk and nearby shops. I highly recommend this VRbO.

Clean and Beautiful

We loved this vacation! The place was spotless when we arrived and everything looks newly updated including the sheets and towels. We loved the cute porch and back patio, house is plenty of space for our family of 5. It is a very short walk to the beach and center of town. We will definitely be back! Thanks Alex!

Ocean Grove vacay

Girlfriends came from Ohio for a week of fun. We had a wonderful time. Loved sitting on the porch, walking to the beach and boardwalk. Main Avenue just one street over. Comfortable beds and furniture. All in all, a good find.

Lovely Ocean Grove Beach House

We had a lovely week at this house with our family. The house was beautiful and well stocked. Alex and Chris were great hosts. The two bedrooms upstairs worked well for us. The large bedroom was large and was great for our son and daughter in law and two grandchildren.Location was perfect. Highly recommend!

Nice beach house and owners are wonderful people!

We did a long weekend… multiple AC units kept the upstairs and downstairs cool. A few blocks to walk to the beach and around the corner from Main Ave with restaurants and coffee shop. If you go to the boardwalk and walk north (left) Asbury is right there. You will have a great time!!!

Cutest beach house

This half of house was so adorable! We had the best time here, it had everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable, everything was very clean. A little market on the corner for any groceries we needed and we didn’t have to move the car. Beach was so close, 3 blocks and you’re there. Went to an organ concert at the auditorium, walked to Asbury Park many times, 15 minute walk. Ocean Grove was such a calm, clean and quaint town, I want to live there!

Beautiful, Quiet, Relaxing, Perfect

With this property, you could not ask for more. The home is very beautiful and was big enough to sleep my family of eight. My family of five along with my brother and his family of three enjoyed every minute of this stay. The beach is in eye distance, just three short blocks from the home, perfect for summertime strolls. Main Street is literally just around the corner and features a lot of good shops that represent Ocean grove. To make things better on hot summer nights, Days Ice Cream is a short walk away as well, guarantee to be the cherry on top of a day at the ocean. Very quiet street and full of lovely flowers and people. The owners of the property were very responsive to any of our needs, such good people, you would think they were family. Could not ask for a better home, let alone better host to accommodate our week stay. We would most definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. The location is just right, people are even better, and the house is perfect. Enjoy and cherish every moment because it is very much worth it.

Lovely Stay

My family of six (husband, 2 children, and grandparents) had a lovely 3-day stay at this home at the end of June. The house was clean and well-appointed. The layout worked well for us (grandparents in the small bedroom and my immediate family in the bunk room). Chris was finalizing a master suite which we did not see during our stay. The location was great -- 3 blocks to the beach, 1 block to the main shopping street and 1.5 blocks to the Methodist tabernacle/camp and Day's Ice Cream. Had a delicious seafood meal (twice) at Klein's in nearby Belmar and enjoyed the Historical Society's 2-hour tour. The beach in Ocean Grove is very clean and the life guards were especially responsive to potential safety issues. Chris and Alex were pleasant and prompt to deal with throughout the rental process. We hope to return to this home again soon!

Cozy Home

Five friends and I stayed here for a short weekend. We had a lovely time. The house was clean and cozy. The owners are easy to work with and very nice. The ceilings are low- perhaps not for the exceptionally tall but otherwise everything was exactly as we expected. Thanks for a great stay. We will definitely stay again; we're already talking about making it an annual trip!

Perfect for a family

The listing was accurate. The upstairs is a "great" room (linving room + multi-bed bedroom) with a small bedroom next to the roomy bathroom. People need to be comfortable sleeping "camp" style - near one another. This home is absolutely delightful for a family that wants a quiet place with LOTS of amenities. The house is in a charming and quiet neighborhood with town shops and restaurants all within a few blocks, including two great ice cream shops, and a bike rental place. Having a shaded back yard with a table and grill helped us to save money and gave us a private place to relax. Note: If you want to use the back yard at night, bring bug spray! The front porch is shady in the morning; making it inviting. The dining room is spacious; upstairs, too. The upstairs closet is big with shelves and it also served as an extra changing room. The 1st floor living room got a bit warm but the extra box fan helped to bring in air from the kitchen or we moved upstairs where there is a futon, coffee table, and TV. There are lots of comfy chairs and good lighting. One of my favorite spots was to sit in the rocker by the upstairs window and do my needlepoint. My other favorite was the backyard. The home has many personal touches that I have not previously experienced in rentals such as good books, DVDs, many comfy chairs, towels, linens, CD player, beach supplies, miscellaneous bathroom supplies, and a washer and a dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, serving dishes, plates, glasses, etc. The home has been loved and cared for...making me want to treat it with the same love and respect. By the way, Ocean Grove is a wonderful town to walk and explore. The Great Auditorium is a marvel with wonderful programs and services.

Great Town, Great Location Beach House

We're frequent Ocean Grove summer-ers, and love the town. This home is a short 3 black walk to beach, one block to the all-important ice cream shops and town's center. The home is well maintained, very clean and well equipped with all you'll need for a great stay. Owners are local, very responsive and kind. We stayed for two weeks and had a lovely time. Although the location is in the center of Ocean Grove, the home is still very quite and peaceful. Small back yard is great for grilling and dinners, front porch great for hanging out and people-watching. Beach is clean, great waves and excellent lifeguards. A great family-with-guests destination, as large bedroom accommodates many! Thanks Chris and Alex!

We have lived in Ocean Grove in our lovely beach home since 2004. We love keeping our house immaculate and well-supplied so our guests can enjoy their vacation. We live in the other half of our home year-round and love our life in Ocean Grove. We are not intrusive as we want our guests to enjoy their vacation stay so we are only available if a need arises. When we are not on the beach, we are blessed to be running our center for special needs children. We also enjoy biking, music and Crossfit.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our home is quiet yet close to everything. It is an easy place to relax and do nothing or attend the many happenings that Ocean Grove is so well known for. The beach is only three blocks away--just far enough to miss the crowds but close enough to walk to. We are only one block over from Main Avenue an enjoy the convenience of the Pathway market at the end of our block for any last-minute needs. For family activities and night life outside of the Grove, we are an easy walk into Asbury Park or Bradley Beach.

Our home offers a charming backyard with a grill, something you don't always find in the Grove. In addition, the Great Room is perfect for families--plenty of sleeping room plus a place for the kids to play, relax and watch their own TV while the adults relax with a glass of wine or cup of tea on the porch, in the living room or in the backyard. Our block is mostly occupied by owners so you will not be inundated with noisy vacationers. Our home is safe, relaxing and immaculate.
