Great House!

The house is beautiful and very clean. Location was a little tricky to get to on the first time in but if you follow the directions from the owner they get you there, no problem. The house was well stocked for a week long stay. Loved the hot tub and fire pit. Great mountain getaway!

Family Mountain Trip

Fantastic house. We had six people (2 kids, 2 grandparents, and 2 parents). The kids really enjoyed the little pool table, the hot tub, and the fire pit. House was very clean and we had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back!

We were in our own snow world

Beautifully decorated with updated furnishings home. It was difficult to access from the road to the house due to how deep the snow was and it was all downhill to enter the property, but once there we were in our own world. No one around at all and we were able to sled down hills all around the property. Only issue was, due to the snow/ice we would get concerned getting in & out (even in 4 wheel drive), as well as, the trash people had not cleaned out the can from the previous renters. So, we had to drive the trash to town after the 2nd day. Just a minor obstacle. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

Family Vacay

We loved the home, but would’ve liked to have been able to checked in a little sooner since there wasn’t anyone there several hours before check in time. We were told if cleaning people were finished earlier than later that we could. That didn’t happen! Also the hot tub wasn’t working correctly. It was set at 104 degrees, but only was heating to 84 degrees. Something is evidently wrong with heating element. We have one and it’s been extremely cold where we live so we know that shouldn’t be the issue. Other than that the place is great!!

Great location and property but not prepped for visitors

I booked this lovely house in a beautiful setting for a family Christmas getaway. I loved the modern design and bedroom layout. The house did live up to those expectations and there were tons of great hills for sledding. However when we arrived in below freezing temperatures (after having called and being reassured power was on and wouldn’t be a problem) there was no running water in the house. None of us had phone service and luckily I was able to use Google voice and email to contact VRBO and Blue Ridge Mtn Rentals. I couldn’t get in touch w the property owner at all. Finally a full day later a maintenance guy came out and it turned out the water had been turned off at the well head and frozen in the off position. Completely unacceptable. Someone should have made sure the property was ready for guests especially since I had called. There was also a heat pump and it took a full day for the house to get up to a comfortable temperature inside. I’m talking to BRMR about some sort of compensation for the full day of our trip that was basically lost trying to figure out the water issue and packing up to possibly leave to go somewhere else. Come on, be ready for guests especially over Christmas.
