Yewitcenter - "The Burrow" - PETS GO 4 FREE!

Set in seven acres in the North Georgia Appalachian Mountains our ground floor spacious 2-bedroom apartment (we call The Burrow) is within a two-story cottage house on the edge of our secluded fishing pond on Crooked Creek. Just one mile from Chatuge Lake and ideally located between Young Harris, Hiawassee, GA and Hayesville, NC, The Burrow features a full kitchen, central heat/air, wifi, internet TV, outside pavilion, BBQ, fire pit, one vehicle parking with lots of overflow at main house.

The space
Ursula's English gardens, covered pathways, fruit trees, nurtured wild fauna, and three large murals adds to the natural enchantment of the flowing pond, sounds of waterfalls, and the abundance of wildlife our guests have enjoyed since 2012. Peaceful, spiritual, rejuvenating, and relaxing are but some of the enthusiastic comments from those who have stayed at Yewit Center. Whether you are seeking peace and quiet nestled in this splendid mountain local or taking advantage of the abundance of activities, restaurants, and events in the area your stay at Yewit Center will be as enchanting as it is refreshing .

What a wonderful stay

This place was perfect as we waited for our tenants to move out so we could move in. Ursi and Keith were so helpful and always told us if there was anything we needed to just let them know. I would certainly stay here again if the need arises and would recommend it to family and friends.

Love the host and hostess . oh my snake roads forever . Hey 64. Please stock up on groceries.

Beautiful area. Lots of roosters to wake u up too.Try Marina Restaurant live entertainment on weekends. Lots of restaurant. Very very hard to get to. If you like narrow roads then this is the place.Go b 4 dark. Lots of crickets.

A Time Away Stay

Ursi and Keith were more than hospitable, and made my wife and I feel right at home. I had not initially observed that although their place is "pet friendly," cats are prohibited. All I took notice of was the "pet friendly" designation. Only after check-in did my wife draw the confusion to my attention. And yet, when Keith asked what kind of pet we were traveling with, he did not bat an eye when I responded, "Flannery the cat." I regret my oversight and appreciate Keith's forebearance. Ursi gave us a grand tour of her lovely gardens. My wife and I felt free to enjoy our space privately while also knowing that our hosts were accomodatingly accessible. We are happy to recommend Ursi and Keith to all.

Restful mini vacation with wonderful hosts

My wife and I stayed at the Yewitcenter in Young Harris while visiting family in the north GA area. We were able to bring our two dogs and they were welcomed by Keith and Ursula as well as their 2 dogs. We really enjoyed meeting and speaking with Keith about history and Ursula about her plants and her love of animals. our visit was restful and the house completely met our needs. I would highly recommend staying here. It is centrally located to many of the towns in the area and there are a variety of activities in the area that are pet friendly.

Very relaxing and welcoming place to stay

Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We brought our dogs with us and they were spoiled with all the room to play. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Close enough to town but far enough for a peaceful retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looks for a place that is very pet friendly and relaxing.

GREAT Experience!

We highly recommend this hidden gem! The grounds are beautiful, the kitchen is well supplied with all your cooking needs, the pond is FULL of fish and Carlee, our Cocker Spaniel got two new BFF's! Ursula, is very informative about the area and the land she lives on has a really interesting story! Plus...She's Awesome! You will Love it, we can't wait to do it again! See you Soon!!
