Surrounded by nature and rhododendrons, you are a short walk to Louise’s Famous Rockhouse Restaurant and the area General Store for any needed supplies or beverages. Enjoy the deck hot tub overlooking the beautiful outdoors after an amazing hike to Linville Falls. Top NC skiing and Linville Winery are just a few miles away.

Our hot tub is serviced weekly by a certified technician. The hot tub is generally in very good condition for our guests to enjoy. Periodically our cleaning team or a guest will find the tub needing service in between the weekly service visits. (Typically, this happens when a prior guest does not follow our spa guide and the water becomes discolored, low on water, etc.)
Our technician lives in the area and can come to service the spa within 24hrs. For this reason, we cannot guarantee or warrant the condition of the spa.

Your four hosts, Cam, Lisa, Anne and Kip are readily available via phone or email to answer any questions but we will not come to the cabin during your stay unless needed.
Our street is private so there is no through traffic. You are very close to great hiking and biking trails as well as area Linville and Newland amenities.

There is a security camera at the exterior of the front door that is only accessed if a problem occurs.
We love this cabin because, while close to attractions and dining, you’re tucked away in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest and can enjoy nature’s finest pleasures. The living room is great for hanging out, and the outdoor patio is a perfect place for catching up and taking a dip in the hot tub.
A stow-away cot provides sleeping for the 5th person, it is quite comfortable and sized to hold someone up to 6' tall.
If you enjoy conversation, reading a book, adventure such as hiking, biking, skiing this cabin is perfect.
While perfectly adequate for email, due to our remote location, our internet speed is a bit like a '76 Chevette Scooter.... it will get you where you're going albeit not very fast.
Pro tip - toss a pair of bedroom shoes in for your walk to and from the hot tub on the cool hardwoods.
This cabin is pet friendly! We love to take our dogs to the mountains and hike so want to afford you the same pleasure.
We ask that you limit to 2 pets in this cottage.

Due to a large increase in booking volume and the cleaning process our team adheres to requiring the full turnover window, early checkin or late checkout aren't possible.

Highland Festival weekend

The property was largely as advertised, however it was more pet amenable than pet friendly. There was no real place to walk dogs given there was no year and the road was rock. The stay would have been fine overall but the cottage had an overt German cockroach issue in the kitchen and the property manager did not respond to our e-mails regarding this issue until after our stay was over. Manager did reply after we left that the issue would be addressed.

If you are a hiker, the property is conveniently located near several attractive hiking trails. There is little else to do, although mountain towns and the Blue Ridge Parkway are very close for scenic drives. Wineries and a few restaurants are 30-45 minutes away along with the entrance to Grandfather Mountain Park. The cottage was very well equipped with dishes and glassware, cooking utensils and food staples. Beds were comfortable with lots of extra blankets available. We utilized the firepit, but not the spa, although it appeared to be in good condition. The interior of the cottage is aging, although well cared for. Heat is supplied with a gas log fireplace, which were a little frustrating to use, but once figured out, kept the cottage at a comfortable temperature. We appreciated the ceiling fans and lighting in every room. The major drawback was the lack of consistent internet availability. Although internet was available in the morning, there was insufficient bandwidth for streaming TV, and no possibility to use phones to plan activities in the evening for the following day. The owner has published a disclaimer about internet, but it's buried at the end of a lengthy description. To conclude, the cottage was a nice, quiet place to get away from everything. Cozy hidden off the main road. The hot tub was so relaxing. The beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed!!!
