Misleading description of the whole experience, owners of property on site and felt we were invading
Lack of communication from the owner/liaison about checking in, directions to the property. The property was impossible to find on a map. We were given coordinates the day of travelling. Access was difficult, many roads are narrow with no point of passing other vehicles safely. We rang liaison to say we had arrived, he appeared ten minutes later to open up. He briefly discussed our suite and said we had use of all facilities, if we needed anything to let him know but that he would message us some details of services/restaurants in the area-this never came through. The suite was much smaller than the photographs online suggested and there was no toaster, oven or general kitchen utensils. Our suite was very clean and a lady came every two days to empty bins, provide towels and change bedding.
Once unpacked we went to the pool, the views were amazing but within an hour we became aware that the owners were living in main villa. They had family staying in the other two suites. They also had a young child who spent much of the time screaming!
They were not welcoming and this made us feel like we could not access areas such as pool, gym, barbeque (which was unclean) or fire pit.
We chose this property because of the amenities and peaceful outlook. We have had a tough year, dealing with our son being in hospital for four months and we simply wanted to be on our own. Instead we were subject to the owners coming in late, playing loud music to the outdoor areas via loud speakers and a general feeling of being watched as they had CCTV cameras around the outside areas.
Communication regarding checking out was as vague as arrival, messaged the liason, who did not respond until we had left. We were forced to leave keys with owner!
For the price we paid for staying at The Three Lagoons for seven nights we were left feeling very disappointed about the misleading advertisement. It should state that the owners live on-site and not that you have the place to yourself or have access to all amenities.
