Detta 2100 kvadratmeter stora hem ligger i Michaywe-utvecklingen vid en blindväg och är omgiven av trädbevuxna partier. Den har tre sovrum: ett på övervåningen med en king size-säng, ett på övervåningen med en queen-size säng och ett på nedervåningen med en queen-size säng. Det finns ett loft med en full futon med en våningssäng på toppen, en annan våningssäng, en tvilling tillgänglig på begäran och en TV / video. Det finns två fulla bad, ett fullt utrustat kök och ett stort stort rum med vedspis och ett underhållningscenter med TV / VCR / DVD, stort videobibliotek och stereo. Det finns ett stort däck i ryggen med en kolgrill och en bålgrop.
Medan du är här kan du njuta av de fria bekvämligheterna från Michaywe Owners Association, inklusive klubbhuset (restaurang, bar, tennisbanor, inomhus- och utomhuspool, spa och bastu), upplysta och preparerade längdskidspår och en privat strand med strand hus och lekplats vid Opal Lake. Två 18-håls golfbanor finns också inom Michawye-utvecklingen.

Bara några minuter från Gaylord kan du dra nytta av alla de unika centrumsbutiker, barer och restauranger. Njut av snöskoter (uthyrning finns i stan) på hundratals miles av preparerade spår som är tillgängliga direkt från vår ytterdörr. Nedförsskidåkning vid Boyne Mountain eller Tree Tops är mindre än en halvtimme bort. Båtliv / jetski / fiske kan avnjutas från de offentliga lanseringarna vid Opal Lake och Otsego Lake State Park, plus flera andra sjöar i närheten. Michigan's "Alpine Village" är känd för sina 21 golfbanor med mästerskap-kaliber, liksom dess plats i centrum av Michigan Snow Belt. Bara en timmes bilresa tar dig till historiska Mackinac Island, vingårdarna i Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey och Harbor Springs.

Relax and Unwind at the Pine

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Pine House. There was plenty of room for our family of 7. The home was spacious, beds were comfy and the covered porch a bonus when the rain came. You can't beat the location, just minutes from the beach and clubhouse and a short drive to town. Would definitely stay again in the future!

We stayed here for a weekend while golfing in the area. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed. Plenty of beds and lots of amenities. We would stay here again.

Golf Outing

Very nice ,well kept rustic/log house. Pretty much just slept there, but was a very comfortable stay. Will be back.

Girls trip 2024

The location was nice, the grass could have been cut and the outside area needed cleaned up. Lots of leaves, weeds and tall grass. There were a lot of big black carpenter ants, even had some crawling on us at night. Otherwise the location was clean and enough room for all 10 of us to enjoy. Owners were very responsive and friendly via email. Would for sure rent from them again.

Vacation

Overall our stay was great! The house was in a great location and we saw deers everyday! We enjoyed the pool twice even though we had issues with the key cards and had to be let in by an employee both times. The kids loved the bunk bed and the front porch to play on when it was raining. We cooked a lot of meal at the house but could only find one spatula which made it a little bit Challenging. We also had to go out and buy our own kleenexes because there was none in the house and had to go buy garbage bags because there was only two under the sink. We saw a lot of big ants the first two or three days we were there but after day three we didn’t see two many. Mowing the grass in the front yard and clearing the walk way to the fire pit would make it look a lot nicer

Perfect is an Understatement

This location is such a hidden gem! In a neighborhood but still tucked away for privacy this location is such a nice place. The inside was outstanding as well and the pictures truly do not do this place justice! Definitely a must stay!

Cabin in the woods

The cabin was a lovely getaway in the Michaywe community. It was a little trek out to Hwy 32. We had a short visit yet we enjoyed using the grill, the firepit, the association's pool and sauna.

Great Up North family and friend getaway

The house was great for our two-family party of 10. We loved the location, the comfortable, spacious living areas, and the deck in the back. The house was in a tranquil, quiet area, but had nearby amenities. We used the home as a base for a daytrips around Northern MI.

Great cabin

We enjoyed our stay. It had everything we were looking for in a getaway. Host was amazing, very accommodating and helpful. Will recommend this to anyone that needs to get away that wants out door activity. Opal lake was awesome, the staff there are very friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Central location for up north adventures

Wonderful home, exactly as described in the listing, and ideally located for day trips to Mackinac, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and inland lakes for fishing. This house was large enough to accommodate our extended family and tree filled neighborhood provided a perfect “up north” feel. Safe, quiet and secluded location without being remote. The pool and restaurant at the clubhouse were an added bonus. The owners were exceptional with communication. The instructions were clear and our late night arrival was no issue. I will definitely consider staying here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Quiet Get Away

We had two families (8 people) share this house. It was cute and cozy and just the right size. There is no air conditioning, which was an oversight on our part. Luckily it was a cool Michigan weekend. Very close to Gaylord. Loved the wildlife we saw.

The best!

This was a darling house. It was super clean and well maintained. There was tons of space in each room. The kitchen was well equipped. The views were great, we were constantly seeing deer and turkeys. Very close to Gaylord for shopping. We rented this spot because we were working a wedding at Sojourn, it was super close and made our jobs a lot easier! The communication between us and the owners was also great! Thank you!

Enjoyable stay

While I will admit that we were worried as we pulled into the drive, as first impressions were not the best based on the condition of the outside, our fears were alleviated once we went inside. Beautiful interior which provided a great up north feel. Close proximity to the association pool, which was very nice. Great restaurant at the clubhouse. Wonderful and economical golf course as well. Would definitely stay again!

Wooded Adventure Getaway

Three moms and six kids enjoyed this escape in the woods. The four oldest kiddos loved camping out together in the loft while the moms appreciated their own bedrooms! The woods, large deck and firepit provided most of the entertainment for the kids ranging in age from 3-8. A LARGE supply of games, puzzles and movies kept them occupied during a rainy day. The kitchen was well supplied and we enjoyed access to the pool and beach. Thanks for a great adventure!

Very nice property

Inside of house was very nice with a cabin feel. Very nice size house worked perfect for two families to share! Nice deck and seen deer and turkeys throughout the stay.

the Pine House

Inside is excellent; great layout for a large group and all our stuff. Location was perfect for fishing the upper Manistee and AuSable rivers. Close to town but quiet and secluded. Outside is rough; no yard maintenance done and there were a lot of caterpillars on the outside of the house. Made it hard to use the outside spaces but that wasn't an issue for us.

In 2000, our family set out to buy the perfect Up North vacation home. Our clan consisted of my husband and myself, (pregnant with our first child), my sister, her husband and their daughter Brittany, and my mom. After a few weekends looking around the northern part of the Lower Peninsula, two-thirds of us came upon the Pine House. That two-thirds convinced the other one-third (my husband and I) to buy the home sight-unseen, as they were so anxious to make it our own. We made the leap, and many years later (and a total of six more children later) we are still enjoying our Up North vacation retreat.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Gaylord fit our needs, as we wanted to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the outdoors, while still having the conveniences of a nearby city. Gaylord is home to many golf courses, lakes and beaches for summertime enjoyment, and it is also located in the middle of the Michigan Snow Belt, allowing us to ski, snowmobile and sled. Michaywe Owners Association also fit our needs as it has it's own indoor pool, beach and playground, perfect for our growing family.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Over the years, our family has had bonfires with s'mores, songwriting and games of 'telephone', walks in the woods, bike rides, long days at the beach, snowmobile rides, quiet time with our own families as well as large family reunions, boating excursions, movie and game nights, fire-side chats and stargazing. As our children have grown, and we are lured by other vacation destinations, we have used our vacation home less and less. We are now offering it to others to enjoy as we have. Joining VRBO has been a joy, as I have learned that mushroom hunting is a spring-time sport in Gaylord and also how to make a 'dough boy' by an open fire.
