Four miles south of Grayling with spacious parking, fenced backyard with screened patio, covered porch and small fenced patio in front to watch the sunsets.

Across the road is historic Wellington Farm Park and there is also nearby access to snowmobile and off-road trails, cross-country and downhill skiing, nearby lakes and rivers for seasonal fishing, canoeing, kayaking and other water sports. Other outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, and disc golf are also close by.

Major travel routes within a few miles make this a great central location for fun and exploration in Northern Michigan. I75, US127, and M72

Very nice place to stay after spending day trips with family and friends staying at Higgins Lake State Park. Very clean and supplied with all the essentials from coffee, tea and spices in the kitchen to shampoo and soap in the bathrooms. We will stay again if we are ever up in the area. Full Disclosure- the air conditioning is a single unit in the living room, but it did keep it cool enough on a near 90degree day with ceiling fans in every room of the house.

Higgins family visit

2nd time we’ve stayed here. Family rents an American Legion on Higgins Lake North Shore and we stay at this place so we have a clean and comfortable place to retreat to at the end of a day on the lake. We were very pleased that they have continued to refine the place with the addition of a 2nd coded entry lock and a higher grade of cable tv . Clean, neat, well furnished, comfortable, great location. 86 year old mother loves the place , made spending time with her a lot easier . Thanks again !!

Perfect location

We were in town for a family wedding. Came in a few days early and were close to Higgins Lake and kayaking. Got to see lots of wildlife around the property, kids loved seeing mama deer with her babies.

Higgins Lake Vacation

We had a great time staying here. Everything was perfect, and clean. Wonderful rental and so close to the state park. And our kids loved saying good morning & good night to the horses on the property each day!!

Excellent place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a nice location outside of town but not too far from anything. Very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice clean place and good location for Kirtland CC

Home was, well supplied and quiet. Chris was easy to communicate with. Coaches are a bit old and uncomfortable but other than thatit was an enjoyable stay

Cleanest house we've ever stayed at!

Beautiful property with all the amenities, large and spacious with plenty of room. We had such a nice, quiet weekend of relaxing that we didn't want to go home. Excellent communication with the owner and the home exceeded our expectations. Thank you Chris, we will certainly return in the near future.

Three generations hunting together

We had a great stay. My sons and I with my dad enjoying time in the woods greatly appreciated the comfy chairs and beds to come home and get recharged for another day. Great property and an even better host.
