This stylish condo boasts 2 Queen Beds and a Murphy Bed, a private balcony, LCD TVs, a full bathroom, and modern, well-appointed appliances. Enjoy the beach's ambiance with granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. With stunning ocean views from the balcony and the main living area, this condo comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. The bedroom features two queen beds, and there's an additional Murphy bed in the living area. You'll be on the tenth floor, providing fantastic beach and city views. Plus, there's easy access to a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi on the same floor.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, range, microwave/range hood, and there's a dining area for your meals. The resort offers an oceanfront pool deck with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, indoor water amenities like a pool, lazy river, kiddie pools, and a Jacuzzi.
Monterey Bay is situated in the upscale north end of Myrtle Beach, just about two miles from the downtown hotel area. You'll find it conveniently close to restaurants, shops, entertainment, and various attractions.

Nice place to stay

This property is very nice. The location is aeay from the hustle and bustle and the beach is not crowded. The pools are very nice and the food was good. The room was nice and neat. The beds and pillows were amazing! We enjoyed our stay.

Loved the location. Everything in the room was as advertised. The only thing I didn’t like was that the pull out bed because it had a bad smell to it other than that everything was great!

I want to say the view was one of the best views I have ever stayed at. Good location. But the room did have bugs in it. I’m sure it was the hotel problem. Tried to contact the owner about a couple things but did not get a response

As soon as we opened the door the unit smelled of mold (10th floor). We went to sit our bags down on the beds and they were both wet sheets and all. The sofa and chair in the living space were filthy. Owner’s said that Normal wear and tear. Oh and don’t forget they have roaches

Won’t stay here again!

ROACHES!! The kitchen is not ready for a family meal at all! Only had ONE fork, no potholders, no pizza cutter or pizza pan, no fish rag, and only 1 dish towel. Pillows were flat! Although there is a list of to do’s before leaving, the remote to the bedroom tv was in the floor under one of the beds. Vending machine on our floor didn’t work and the other one was sold out. Bathroom door you had to slam in order to get it to close all the way. Toilet paper sucked! No paper towels! One outlet in the living room didn’t work and didn’t have a cover, this is a fire hazard. Elevators were super slow. The list goes on and on!!

Nice location and decent unit

We spent 4 nights here. There are two different groups of people in the building. One group is allowed breakfast and the other isn't. Depending on where you rented will determine if you get to eat the breakfast, however I got in line not knowing and they asked my room number then said I wasn't allowed. So just keep it in mind. I was actually kind of relieved that breakfast wasn't included because it did not look good so not a deal breaker. When we arrived the tv and lamp in the main room wouldn't turn on so it was quite dark. We sent a text to the right number and they told us to look at the breaker switch to see if it needed reset. They told me where it was and so I flipped the breaker and that did allow the 1 lamp to turn on in the room but the TV and 2nd lamp never did work. It's ok again because we didn't really need it. There was a tv in the other room and we were out at the beach most of the time anyhow. My wife was terrified of the elevators. They were pretty shaky. 3 of them were going up and down so the wait wasn't bad. It did the job. One elevator went dark at one point but they fixed it pretty quick. The unit could use a thorough cleaning. They seemed to just do the basic wipe down and sweep because when the fold down bed was put down quite a bit of dirt and trash was behind it. As well as dirt and trash in tight spots like between the fridge and counter. Again this wasn't bad just pointing out it could use a deep clean every so often. Overall I give it a 3.4 out of 5. Good location, lazy river was small but still fun for kids. Pool was big and the one on our 10th floor was almost all to ourself because not many people used it.

Good for Glamping

My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks. As long as you have appropriate expectations this is a fine place to stay for a beach vacation. This is not a luxury property or unit and the online reviews of the Monterey Bay Suites are pretty accurate. Many good things to report here. The location is great. It's 3 miles north of the chaos and density of the main Myrtle Beach strand, so there is a much mellower vibe. Walking distance to many restaurants, and grocery stores are a short easy drive away. But of course the main selling points are the great ocean view off a 10th floor private balcony and easy access to the beach, which is right out the door. The unit is basic and was fine for the two of us. Add more people and things will feel tight. Check-in took 2 seconds, and we liked the combination key pad for entry. The management company (Big Fish) was highly responsive by text and email and everything worked exactly as they told us. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. Everything but the floors were clean. On the downside: -The floors are very dirty and if you walk barefoot you will have black feet in a matter of minutes. So we just kept our sandals on all the time. The entire unit really could use a deep clean. -The building itself was likely a gem in its prime, but it is well past its prime now and not well maintained in spots. It's a bit run down and dirty in places but we knew that based on internet reviews. - The pools were typically packed with kids and we didn't use them. Be prepared to hear the kids yelling if you are out on the balcony as it is right over the main pool. Pools looked great for young families and were cleaned each morning. -We like to cook on vacation and did so here in the full kitchen. However, the kitchen was sparsely equipped and there was nothing to use to cook in the oven (e.g., no broiler pan, baking pan) so we had to make everything on the stove top. It was fine, but it limited the menu a bit. There were also no oven mitts or Tupperware for leftovers. -Very little was provided to help keep the place clean. There was some dish soap and 1 dishtowel, as well as an old half-size broom and dust pan. We bought sponges, an additional dishtowel, and paper towels. Basically, as long as you are adaptable and have the right expectations about the unit and building. It's good for glamping. We spent every day happily on the beach and most nights hanging out in the condo. That is exactly what we were looking for!

Bring clean sheets, cleaning supplies and beach towels

Building and Pools well maintained. Condo itself hasn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time. Couch grimy, bring extra sheet to cover. Bed Sheets were wrinkled with hair and sand, all surfaces were dirty, shower curtain has mildew, all woodwork filthy, floors completely black even after requesting to be cleaned again. Beds old but comfortable, Do not use Murphy bed, too dirty especially behind. Overall, good experience, just come prepared to clean. Great view, good value, fun for young children.

Nice view but very dirty

We have been using VRBO for years and have never been disappointed until now. Let me start out by saying that the balcony had a lovely view, the building was right on the beach and the property had several pools to choose from, but the condo desperately needs a deep clean!

I would not stay here again.

I’ve rented many times from Vrbo and never had a bad experience until staying at this property. We asked for an early check in and were told it would cost extra. Which was fine. Until they would not communicate on our check in day at all and we literally were in town with no where to stay from 8am-4pm. Our check in was at 4pm and we finally received our check in info at 4:03. Thankfully it was a short visit also bc there were no linens for the pull out bed that our son had to sleep on and you literally had to wear shoes bc the floors were so disgusting. The ceiling was also falling apart. I would not stay here ever again. There also is an up charge for everything!!! That you are not informed of at your original booking.

Good Value

Everything about our stay was excellent, with one exception. Our room wasn't properly cleaned before we arrived, and some small repairs could be made. However, coming out of the pandemic, we are sure that this will improve. Wonderful stay.

Easy access

Everything was close by beach indoor pools and parking was in parking deck east to get to room. Also pools on 10th floor right by this room. Great stay!

This condo get 2.5 stars

The resort is very old and desperately is in need of updating. The location is fantastic. The condo is also extremely dated and dirty. It needs a deep cleaning and the floors need a steam clean. All surfaces were sticky. The coffee make has a broken pot and cook top/stove needs to be replaced. I would never stay at this resort again.

Very Good

Could use a deep cleaning. Fair stay for money. Really enjoyed it. Really need to take care of the black mold. It was painted over and is now coming back through. Could be a health issue. Overall good stay.

A pleasant experience at the beach.

This place was right on the Beach oceanfront close to everything it was relaxing quiet peaceful. It has many amenities to use to cook your own meals and also as far as pools and jacuzzis and stuff would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Great Spot for a Beach Getaway

This unit has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing beach vacation. Unit is on the 10th floor, steps away from the 10th floor swimming pool and hot tub, so late night dips in either are a breeze. View from the balcony is breathtaking and peaceful. Both beds were reasonably comfortable, however, the Murphy bed did not have sheets, blankets or pillows provided. Fortunately we did not need it. The full kitchen is excellent for folks who don't want to have to eat out or order takeout every meal. There are basic utensils and flatware, though most of the actual cookware was worn to the point of barely being usable. That said, it was good enough for a 4 day beach weekend. Nice having the bedroom separate from the living room so one can rest while another is looking at the ocean or relaxing in the living room. There is some noise in the bedroom since it's immediately off of the main floor hallway, but that really can't be avoided in beachfront hotels. All in all, a good place for a nice vacation.
