Easily accessible floor unit in a most conveniently located two-story home in the heart of Hilo in a nice, safe, centrally located neighborhood, within walking/biking distance to most s amenities in Hilo town.
Located on a very private, low traffic side street away from traffic noises and the bustle of town life yet central to most of what Hilo town has to offer.

The unit is spacious with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. One bedroom with a double bed, the other with a queen bed, both super comfortable, high-quality mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped with all one would need for cooking, and the use of a hot plate as there is no range or oven.
Parking on-site of one car provides. Street parking is available and a few steps away.

Private nice size back yard, ideal for barbecue, or enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal in the covered back lanai. Bananas, citrus, pineapple, soursop are among the fruiting trees lining the parameter of the backyard.

Not the best VRBO experience

This unit is a basement of a two story home and you can hear everything from the top story. The kitchen is really a kitchenette and does not have a range or dish washer. Important only if plan to cook. The listing indicated washer an dryer however you will be charged $8 ($5 for washing and $3 for drying) per load. Bit costly since never had to pay for laundry before. In addition the towels, sheets and pillows smelled of mildew. The owner did change them when notified. Owner promised to give free cleaning service since we were staying more than a week but was not able to fulfill.

Hilo stay #2

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this property. Owner is easy to work with and accommodating to arrival time. She made some nice upgrades since we were there the first time to make it even more comfortable. Location is more residential but perfect for what we needed. It’s also nice to have set parking spots so you do not need to park on the street since street parking would be difficult. Would stay there again!

Hilo VRBO

It was a great location. Close to town and easy to get to. It was nice to have a dedicated parking spot and to have portable air conditioners in each bedroom.
