Cute quirky house

We enjoyed our stay at this house! The house had a very cool design and there were plenty of outdoor games and space. It was an easy drive to get back down town and on to main street.

Great Cabin with updated amenities and decor

Loved this cabin and the experience. Close to town, easy to find, great hosts. Rented for a get away with my wife but it would have been great for a family as well.

This property had literally everything you could ask for in a rental home for you family. It was seriously a home away from home! Will definitely be booking again!

The house itself was beautiful. The attention to detail was impeccable and we loved the overall craftsmanship of the home. When we arrived the hot tub wasn't ready to use. It was freezing so we couldn't enjoy it until the next day. The location was convenient for Main Street activities but the views from the house were less than desirable. Overall a nice place to stay.

Well themed, but functionality is another story

My family of 3 have been staying at Absolute Charm properties for a number of years. This week we rented The Rockwood. It was not accurately represented in the photos and descriptions, and was, quite frankly, a disappointment. There is plenty of charm and theming throughout the house, but functionality is lacking in several areas. First, the sliding door to the back patio from the master bedroom is broken and the owner's solution was to wedge a 1x3 stick into the frame to act as a lock. The outdoor furniture in the yard was filthy and had nails sticking out of the frame. This really doesn't matter since the view of the “Wet Reservoir” doesn't exist. The boat dock is beached on land, the water is gone, and a housing development is under construction in its place. This was not a case of drought as we had heavy rain almost every day of the week. The toilets may or may not flush and you have to jiggle the handles to keep them from running. The fan in the game room doesn't work and according to Tim (who answers the phone when you report problems) has never worked. Internet service is unreliable. Don't expect to attend teleconferences or be able to watch TV for any length of time. The oven is barely functional with no working thermometer except one that was added inside the oven which is hard to read. The owner left detailed instructions acknowledging the oven had problems and how to work around them. The main bathroom has some sort of wood floor that becomes slippery when you use the shower. The kitchen table is too big for the space; you cannot sit a family around it without hitting the walls. The couches in the family room are uncomfortable with a TV hanging from ropes over the fireplace and at a height that is too high to watch (assuming the internet doesn't cut out). We don't expect perfection, but it is clear the owners are aware of the issues and instead of correcting them are implementing workarounds. There are (2) new elaborating themed houses on the property and meanwhile existing houses are being neglected.

Beautiful, charming home!

My daughter and I loved The Rockwood for our mother daughter Fredericksburg getaway. This charming cottage was everything we wanted and more! The details of the home are perfect...we loved the architecture of this updated home, the location was ideal, and we enjoyed the amenities offered. We look forward to visiting again!

Would not stay here again

We ( 4 sisters) absolutely loved our accommodations!! Set back and quiet, a bit of nature( cutest baby deer playing on grounds) close to town with plenty to do- comfortable beds- every amenity well thought out. It's been awhile since I travelled so it was a bit of sticker shock for just two nights- but I would recommend your place to others- thank you for a relaxing environment which is what we all needed . Also appreciated that you responded quickly to my phone call and fixed our entry issue - I've had a few bad experiences with that- lol -Lisa

Hill Country Cabin

Cabin was just as it appeared online. Beautifully designed and decorated! Everything worked perfectly. Immediate response from staff when we had difficulty operating door lock. We will definitely stay here again!!!
