Den två våningar enfamiljshuset ligger på 7 orörda tunnland trädbockad mark, med en slingrande stig som leder till den kristallklara, privata 225 tunnland stora McCurdy Pond sjön nära havet. Strategiskt beläget i en lugn, naturlig miljö som säkerställer integritet, är hemmet rymligt och ljust och välutrustat för enkelt boende. Ett utomhusdäck och den omgivande gräsmattan bidrar till att njuta av miljön. Ett inbjudande sovrum och badrum är bekvämt beläget på första våningen, tillsammans med hemmets ½ bad, häll och fungerande öppen spis. På övervåningen finns ytterligare tre sovrum och badkar, alla rymliga, bekväma och tillmötesgående för flera gäster. Många utsiktspunkter i hemmet ger utsikt över den pittoreska sjön, som är perfekt för bad, kanot och fiske. Du kan dra kanoten upp på fastigheten eller vid den närliggande bryggan / båtlandningen McCurdy Pond Association. För extra bekvämlighet har huset en fullständig källare och ett garage med två bilar. Vittnesmål :: Vi kom precis tillbaka förra lördagen från Maine. Vi försöker fortfarande anpassa oss till livet i södra Florida igen, men vi drömmer fortfarande om Maine och alla dess underverk. Vi åtnjöt grundligt huset och hade en fantastisk tid vid sjön. Vi simmade, fiskade, kanot och plockade vilda blåbär och hallon nere vid vattnet. På kvällarna skulle vi sitta vid elden, steka marshmallows och sedan gå ut och titta på natthimlen fylld med tusentals stjärnor. Även om vi har stannat kvar i andra hus i Maine, är ditt hus ett underbart läge och så bekvämt. Vår favoritaktivitet är att packa en lunch och att sitta på klippan vid sjön där vi picknick, badar, kanot och fiskar. Efteråt avslutar vi dagen med en sked av glass vid Round Pond. Vi utforskade också de olika halvöarna, åt hummerrullar (upprepade gånger) och åtnjöt varje sekund av det svala vädret. Damariscotta är en härlig liten stad liksom så många i det omgivande området.

Good for family

It’s a beautiful location and the house is very nice. We wish the water access was easier (and less full of ticks) but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay in the house. It is good for four adults and some children.

Another great week

This was the 4th time that we have stayed at this property and our family and dogs had a blast. It is secluded but not far from anything. Dom is an excellent host and addressed any issues we had swiftly and directly. If you love the outdoors and paddling a quiet pond, this place can't be beat!ananswiftlhdIpquipond

Hiking getaway

We booked this location very last minute as our holiday plans were derailed with cancellations elsewhere. We arrived pretty late and had a slight issue upon arrival in which the property owner quickly rectified within 24 hours. Location is ideal for hiking in Acadia, which we did 2 days of, enjoying driving from lighthouse to lighthouse and all the lobster in the area. We immensely enjoyed the canoe that was accessible with the property. Overall house was well maintained and stocked. The only recommendation I would provide is to have non slip shower strips installed. Would stay again.

Third time at this great property

We have stayed in this home 3 times over the past 12 years and it doesn't disappoint. The woodsy setting is unique to a "lakefront" home and the large grass yard is great. McCurdy Pond is beautiful and quiet, especially this time of the year. The home had everything that we needed, but could use a little maintenance and upkeep. The kitchen utensils were a bit lacking and there could be more seating in the main living room based on the number of guests that can be accommodated. Several of the lightbulbs in the home need/needed replaced and during heavy rain on Saturday evening, there was a minor leak from one of the skylight windows in the upstairs queen bedroom, which made its way (possibly) to the closet in the first floor master. Again, the home was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay here again and recommend to others.

Mccurdy Pond is a gem

We were so happy to be back at McCurdy Pond after several years away. It’s so peaceful, with great swimming, paddling and just reading lakeside! And near to the ocean too. The house is great. I even got to enjoy the walk down to the water—a well maintained mossy path. My only complaint was with VRBO, which blocked my access to the owner’s check-in instructions and wifi password, causing me to have to call on arrival ( which was immediately answered).

Wonderful retreat

Our family had a lovely time at this property. The lake was great with a few little islands and rocks that were fun to paddle board around. There was a window unit air conditioner I’m not sure if it was listed, but it was definitely appreciated. And I t’s true the walk to the lake is a little long and winding, but it’s also beautiful! We would visit again.

Another great visit to McCurdy Pond

This was our third summer stay at this house. It comfortably accommodated four adults, two children, one dog, and one parrot, with room for more. The lake is the standout feature, easily accessed via a short walk through the woods. Looking forward to returning! Thanks Dominick!

Wonderful property

This property was very clean upon our arrival and appears well-kept. Furniture is in good repair and comfortable as are the beds. There is no air conditioning upstairs but there are fans. The kitchen area is small but served our needs well and it is well-equipped. With all the torrential rains this summer the path to the lake was a bit mushy in places but all of us thought the path was beautiful and enjoyed the short walk to the lake. The swimming at the lake was even better than we expected. There is a lovely large rock to sit on but there is also a very nice gradual, sandy entrance to the lake. There are some reeds, if you are squeamish about such things, but we loved the swimming and stayed in the water for hours. It's a beautiful, quiet lake/pond and the fishing was good. A great vacation!

Great spot!

Wonderfully private property and lovely trail (3 min) down to the lake where we canoed, fished and swam. The rock has a natural seat and there is a bench there but an additional one or some chairs would have been perfect. The loon calls were so peaceful, think it was my favorite part of our trip. The house was comfortable and spacious for our family of five and two dogs. The back steps off the deck might be a bit steep for senior guests. Really loved the fire pit and picked up some local firewood for $2 a bucket down the road. Would love to stay here again.

Wonderful Home

This home is beautiful and the outer surroundings are fabulous. I would highly recommend air-conditioning on the upper level along with re-installation of window screens in an effort to gain reasonable ventilation.

Wonderful time…

Overall it was a great experience for 5 teen boys and 4 adults. Beds were very comfortable which makes a difference. The walk to the lake no ideal but we enjoyed the rock and swimming. It was great to be back in the area after 2 years off. Not far from all the great local attractions. Kitchen could use an update of cooking supplies but overall a great time. Thank you for sharing your Maine cabin.

We all loved our stay on McCurdy pond. The house was just fine for our family who gathered to celebrate a birthday. Our favorite part was the rock, water, canoe and we brought kyacks too. The location of the house is perfect too. Spending July 4th there and giving thanks for our freedom was so memorable. Many, many thanks.

Pristine location

Such a beautiful house with interesting art, a stunning view over the lake and the best fishing and canoeing spot. We would love to return to the same place again! A few more mosquito screens would be amazing : to be able to keep windows open and listen to the earie calls of the Loon.

Very Nice!

The house is lovely and the pond is awesome! The house is nicer than the pictures show. The rock by the pond was a perfect place to relax! Everything is very clean. Absolutely no complaints there! I might suggest the owner checking in with the local property manager to be sure things are a little better stocked such as hand soap, tp, wood for the fire, etc. Would have been a 5 if all those things were handled. Otherwise it was great!
