Owls Nest - Glamping Pole Barn Stay - Deep Valley View

Located above a pole barn on a large farm property, The Owls Nest features all the luxuries of a normal efficiency with a beautiful view of the mountain ridge out the balcony door windows and special farm touches like the water trough shower. This property is in the Naitonal Forest and within min of Winfield Scott Recreation Area, Vogel State Park, Black Trout Mountain Farms, hiking trailheads and the Toccoa River. A 35 min drive will take you to the square in Dahlonega.

Property access/boundaries: The field and creek are shared spaces between other residences on the property. We encourage the enjoyment of the creek and of course ask that you take out anything that you brought in so as not to litter or disturb the valued common area. If you cross the creek or any fence on the property then you are trespassing. Please respect our neighbors land. Thank you.

This rental is in a functional pole barn and you may see people coming and going around the apartment. The property the rental is on land shared with other residents. The apartments elevation and windows facing the pasture and mountain view provides plenty of privacy inside the unit

Suches Vacation Rentals provides the following amount of basic goods as a Starter Kit for your arrival at the cabin:

Kitchen Trash Bags - 5 (under the kitchen sink)
Paper Towels - 1 Roll per Kitchen
Toilet Paper - 3 per bathroom
Body Soap - Small sample bar soaps (with welcome kit in kitchen)

Please make a note, this is a starter kit for your arrival. If you feel that you'll need more of these items you'll want to bring them with you or purchase them while you are in town.

Since coffee and laundry detergent can be very personal choices we encourage you to bring those with you as we do not provide them.

An ample supply of dish soap, dish detergent, shampoo and conditioner and hand soap are provided.

No amplified sound equipment can be used outdoors between the hours of 10pm and 8am Sunday - Thursday and not between the hours of 11pm and 8 am Friday and Saturday.

Suches Vacation Rentals is available by text or phone 24/7. The number to reach us will be provided in check in information. You will hear a menu listing who is reachable at the time of your call. Our reservations person is available 9-5 for general assistance, guest services, for requests that require in person attention, from 5-10 pm, and from 10pm to 9am someone will be available for rental emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency or immediate danger please call 911.

Pet Fee is $75 per dog. We only allow dogs. No cats. Pets shall always be secured within the boundaries of the property. If the property is not fenced, pets must be kept on a leash and always accompanied by the pet owner while outside.

If you plan to go out and leave your dog at the cabin, please know that we require they be crated in your absence.

Stay away from Suches Life Rentals

The property is advertised as air conditioned but it has an mobile AC unit that doesn’t make the slightest impact on the temperature because the barn has a metal roof and isn’t insulated. Because there’s no insulation, there’s an ant invasion even in tightly sealed canisters - my dog’s food has hundred of ants in it after 1 night. I thought I could sit on the balcony when the heat got unbearable inside but because the barn is wood, I was swatting wasps away every few minutes. I emailed the owner and got no response. I then went to the store she runs across the compound and the owner preceded to argue with ME about MY accent, at one point rounding up her staff to tell me that my accent is Russian, when it isn’t. Strange experience. The following day, the water went out and I couldn’t take a shower or use the bathroom. When I called, the assistant checked-in with the owner and they agreed to let me check-out early and refund the balance of the 3 days. After my 9 hour drive, I received the message the water was fixed and they wouldn’t be honoring the refund. I am not disputing through my credit card company. Whatever happens, it’s worth it to be able to warn other people.
