Northern Air - Cozy Cottage on beautiful Lake Huron in Oscoda, MI

Northern Air is our biggest lakeside cottage in Oscoda, MI. Well suited for families, couples, singles, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Relax on the beach, take a dip in the lake, or simply sit by the fire, we have whatever you're looking for. Four miles south is the town of Oscoda known as Paddletown, USA thanks to the beautiful AuSable River which lets out into Lake Huron just before downtown. Also in Oscoda are awesome areas to hike and fish. Travel down River Road scenic by-way named Michigan's most scenic drive by Big Seven Travel, which cuts through the Huron National Forest, with many stopping points such as Lumberman's Monument and gorgeous Iargo Springs. The cottage includes; 2 bedrooms with king-size beds, 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed, a full kitchen stocked with dishes, silverware, and other cookware, as well as a kitchenette. All beds are furnished with linens. A full list of amenities and local attractions may be found in the check-in binder provided. We look forward to sharing our hideaway, with you!

The stay was everything as advertised, beach was clean and sandy, had plenty of towels for the stay, and the place was very tidy. Would recommend to friends!

Location was beautiful and they provided everything needed to have a wonderful time. They were always fast to respond to any questions. The beach was clean, and perfect for our family. We loved that there were so many beach accessories and also games provided. Our only negatives were when we arrived it was pretty dirty so we had to vacuum, and get some dead bugs off flat surfaces. A pillow was broken with filler coming out on a bed. There were thick spider webs between the sections of the couches, and the shower handle was barely connected to the enclosure. Beds, sheets, and the kitchen were very clean though. Overall we enjoyed out stay and loved the location. The cottages could use a few updates/be cleaner but we did enjoy our stay very much

The place was very spacious. Could have lighting outside for guests that arrive at night. The place could have been a little cleaner. Loved the location, would rent again.

Home Away From Home

This was our fourth stay at Lovango Hideaway. We absolutely love this location. The cottages are nicely decorated and updated recently. Communication with Bryan, the owner, is easy and he always replies in a timely fashion. We hope to be back next year. Thanks again, for sharing your wonderful property with us!

Would do it again!

We had a great stay! The beach and lake is beautiful and located right out the back door. Everything we needed was supplied. The layout of the cottage was unusual where you enter the front door into a bedroom, then walk thru the next bedroom to get to the rest of the cottage but it worked for us.

Go for the Beach

We selected this property because it had a private beach and the cost was reasonable. The property is an efficient design, either a cottage, or a small house, that opens to the yard leading to the beach. It has 3 good sized BRs, 2 small bath rooms with a shower, no tub, a tight kitchen, without an oven, and in another area, a work area with a sink. The eating table is on the patio. The property decor is relaxing--white walls, doors, and bedding, and bronze fixtures, complimented with two barn doors, and gray toned furnishings. The beds were comfortable, but high off the floor--which allows storage underneath, but might be too high for small children. There are a limited number of eating establishments, but we found G's pizza, Dudley's kitchen, and the Hilltop bar to offer good food. The owner quickly responded to my emails.

Fall in Oscoda

Beautiful beach property. Loved watching the moonrise and sunrise over the water. Tricky to find restaurants during the week. If open at all, a lot closed by 3. We would stay again!

not cleaned

the unit was very dirty, cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. bed linens had not been changed and were very dirty. Trash and dirt under couch/chairs and beds, back doors dont lock, a stick was used to wedge in the gap to keep it closed, needs fixed. we loved the location, but it needs to be better maintained and cleaned.

Nice property

Liked the property and had a beautiful view. Not too many stores/shops in the town , so if you are wanting to get away and unplug it's great for that. Living room furniture isn't too comfortable, more like outdoor furniture rather than something to relax on. That would be my only complaint, maybe getting better living room furniture. Beds were comfortable.

We had a great time with our vacation here! It was two couples in their 30s. Very laid back and relaxing - exactly what was needed! The property manager was very responsive when contacted. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Would definitely stay again!

Awesome property and owners!

This is our second time staying at this resort and it is awesome! We already have future trips planned! The owners are super responsive and accommodating and the location is perfect! The updates to the cabin are awesome and the addition of AC will be really nice for those warm days/nights. The beach is pristine and the new picnic table and outdoor furniture are perfect. You will not be disappointed with your stay!! A huge thanks to Bryan and Haley for sharing your property with us for the weekend!!

Family vacation on the lake

This was our 2nd year here. Great property and everything you need! Just pack your clothes and sunscreen and maybe some bug spray for the biting flies. If you are looking for a nice relaxing resort for a family vacation this is the place! Can’t wait to come back again next year! Hoping to do the whole resort with extended family!

great location

the sandy beach right out the door was awesome. A nice play area just a short walk down the sandy beach was a nice bonus as wall. The kayak and body board was pretty delightful too. Nothing to complain about....I will for sure come back

Awesome property!

Our stay here was great! We stayed in Northern Air and the cabin is decorated SO cute!!! The bedrooms are great. There are 2 queens- one soft, one mid, and a king which is firm. Something for everyone. There are 2 fire pits with lots of chairs. Plenty of extra chairs by the shed. The only negative about our stay was the living room furniture. It is almost like patio furniture and not very comfortable to sit on to hang out. It was chilly at night during our stay so we wanted to just chill and watch tv but couldn’t really bc of the couch. However, everything else about this property was GREAT so it’s easily overlooked. Would definitely stay here again 10/10.

Right on the beach! Great host!

The back door opens directly onto the lakefront! Outside patio, grill, and kayaks are included. Whenever I had questions, the host always responded within an hour. Would definitely book again :)

Beautiful time healing!

Enjoyed the property, room for all of the family. Beautiful sunrises, warm water breezes, water toys enjoyed by all. Quite neighborhood. Lazy naps in the hammock and chairs by the water. Laughter at the fire pit. We plan to return!

Wonderful location!

Excellent location with everything you need and more. A paddle board and kayaks (one kayak was missing the drain plug), chairs, inflatable floats. It’s cozy inside with one TV in main room. Even with a Nintendo switch and laptops we had NO problem with WiFi. Don’t forget bath towels, kitchen towels and beach towels! We had a wonderful time!
